Q3. (Isaiah 50:4-9) Who does Isaiah seem to speak about in our passage?

Yahshua

In what way is he open to the Lord?

Yahshua got all his instruction from God. In John 5:19-20 Yahshua says-  Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can only do what he see’s his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works then these, so that you will be amazed.  
 

In what way does he suffer?

Yahshua was beaten and persecuted.  Ultimately he died on the cross.

When was the Messiah vindicated in history?

Yahshua was vindicated when they pulled back the stone of his grave and he was gone. He rose up and went into heaven, conquering and defeating death.

How will he be vindicated at the end of the age?

Every knee shall bow done before him and every tongue will confess that He is LORD over all. 

What character quality is necessary for believers when their vindication doesn’t seem to happen soon enough?

Continue trusting and believing in God. He has the final say and we know that in the end we win because He’s already fought the battle for us.

In this passage Isaiah is speaking about the Messiah.

 

In what way is he open to the Lord?

Yahshua was obedient to the Lord, he did what He instructed him to do. 

In what way does he suffer?

Yahshua was mocked, spit on, beaten and ultimately crucified on the cross. He suffered taking on our sins. 

When was the Messiah vindicated in history?

He was vindicated when he rose in 3 days. 

How will he be vindicated at the end of the age?

All knees will bow before him and proclaim him as Lord over all at his return.

What character quality is necessary for believers when their vindication doesn't seem to happen soon enough?

Remaining faithful to God and putting our trust in him.

Q3. Isaiah is open to the Sovereign Lord and his ears listen like one being instructed. Isaiah has also been given a well instructed tongue.

It would appear to be the Messiah that Isaiah is speaking about. All the suffering and persecution spoken about in Isaiah are the awful things that Jesus went through before He went to the cross.

The Messiah was vindicated when He rose from the dead, He will be vindicated again when He comes in all His glory to judge both the living and the dead.

The characteristics needed by Believers when their vindication is slow in coming are 1. Trust in God, and know He will do right in His own time, which is always the perfect time. 2. Perseverance, by holding onto God and knowing He will make all things right at the right time.
