Paul writes to the Corinthians that as Christians we are washed in the blood of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit; we are sanctified and justified in the name of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. We are saved by the grace of God through His Son Jesus Christ.

However, our God is a Holy God. Holy living reflects the character of God in the Christians' life. Jesus said that a house divided cannot stand. A Christian either serves the Lord or the world. It cannot be both ways.

Holy living is an important witness to the world around the Christian. It shows a healthy, whole and complete alternate way of life in Jesus Christ.

The bottom line: If I love Jesus Christ and claim to be a follower of His, I am not perfect, but I am not intentionally sinning. If I am, I must question my salvation and where the Holy Spirit is in my life. David prayed that God would keep him from intentional sin. Why permit the evil pedalled by satan to distract me from honoring God. Ultimately, alienating me from God through sin? If we love God we will not intentionally practice what God hates!!

Holy living is important because we need to repent and be saved but then we need to change our ways - it is the heart that God is most interested in and it is our heart attitude that seeks holy living. The corrupt will not enter heaven so we must set ourselves apart.

The truth is a little frightening, without His brace and death, we are lost and will die, since as humans we will sin, even if we sin less and less. We need our Savior badly, or perish the thought of God's wrath.

the things that point to salvation by the grace of god rather than mere salvation by right living are, as i see it he is showing us that if we insist on living sinful lives, not living according to the ten commandments he gave us, then we are not saved by his grace unless we stop living sinfully and follow his commandments. i feel nothing in these verses really points to the gift of salvation, through the grace of god because we can only receive gods grace by accepting what jesus did for us when he died on the cross, repenting and doing our best to change our sinful life and start living for and loving god, and jesus for the sacrifice he made for us.

holy living is very important to salvation, for example if we live sinfully and break every commandment, we are then giving ourselves over to satan and allowing him to use and do with us whatever he wants. if we live as holy a life as we possibly can, then we are showing that we love jesus and want to share in the gifts he has given us through salvation when he suffered and died on the cross so we could be saved through him. we also need to live a holy life to have our name written in the lambs book of life, which i feel has already been done even before our birth and it cannot be removed unless we insist on living sinfully right to the time we die unless we repent, sincerely repent.

holy living is important to god as it keeps us clean and pure so that when we die we can go directly to heaven. holy living does not destroy, tear down or make us unclean such as diseases that are sometimes caused through sinful living. god wants us to be clean and pure so as to be examples for others and so we can be with him in heaven when we die.

They had been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and reckoned righteous before God on the basis of the work of the Lord Jesus on the cross for them. All this by the grace of God. Holy living is important as it is the fruit and proof of salvation. By living a holy life we bring praise and glory to our Lord.

By Grace,through our Faith(Eph 2:8-9) we are washed,set apart and Justified….Justified as is being made and declared righteous..not by our works,and trying to live holy.

It is important,as IT IS THE MANIFESTATION THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS LIVING IN US..If we INDEED accept Jesus as our Lord and personal Saviour,then we can do nothing but unintentionally live Holy,bearing the Life full of the FRUIT of The SPIRIT,..LOVE,JOY,PEACE,LONGSUFFERING,GENTLENESS,GOODNESS,FAITH,MEEKNESS,TEMPERANCE(Gal 5:22-23).

If you will manifest in your life,and produce the fruit of the Spirit,without even trying(Forcing yourself) then the Spirit is Living in the inside of you…

If your life doesn’t bear any of the Fruit listed in Gal 5:22-23,then you are not God Children,even though you Speak the Sinners prayer a thousand times..For you dont have a Witness,or a sign that indeed that God is in the inside of you)

Romans 8:16 -The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God
