PrayingMan Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Q3. (Daniel 3:19-27) What effect does their deliverance have on their government official colleagues? What effect does it have on the king? What kind of glory does God receive? That the three Jews were unscathed amazed the people and the King. They couldn't believe they had been delivered and held their God in great respect and awe for their deliverance. God received much glory as they held God in great fear and respect. Quote
nancyann Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Their deliverance causes total amazment. The King and officials cannot believe that firstly they survied and also that there was a fourth person walking around in the fire, which had killed the soldiers that had thrown them into the fire. The King then declares his belief and faith in God and that no one may speak against the God of Ahdrach, Meshach and Abednego. Everyone give glory to God. The people all praise God. Quote
Old Jerry Posted October 7, 2015 Report Posted October 7, 2015 The effect that their deliverance had on the government official colleagues is that their God is a powerful God and that if you believe in Him He will also protect you. The effect on the king was that he blessed there God as the most high God. Quote
pickledilly Posted October 7, 2015 Report Posted October 7, 2015 Nebuchadnezzar was “astonished” to see the 3 now-unbound men walking around in the midst of the hottest fire possible with a 4th man, as though there was no fire at all. He surely must have been humbled in the face of such an impossible scene. When he called them to come out of the fire, he addressed them as “servants of the Most High God” in recognition that Yahweh had greater glory, sovereignty, power, or authority than any god they thought they knew. The Scripture doesn't detail the reaction of his government officials as they crowded around the 3 unharmed men to examine them, but certainly they must have been completely stunned, amazed, and perhaps somewhat fearful of whatever god had such a power that could not only preserve the lives of these Jewish men but even protect their hair and clothing from any trace of the fire and smoke. Quote
Moises Percu Posted October 9, 2015 Report Posted October 9, 2015 All of them were totally shocked. They saw the impossible happening before their eyes. They could see that there is a God above all men, a God who is not subject to men's orders. Quote
joy irowa Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 The govt. officials were amazed of what they saw The king was shocked God received the glory due His name Quote
Frangena Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 The government official colleagues of these Jews were shocked and amazed that they came out of that furnace unscathed! As for the king, he was not only shocked but he had a change of heart. We hear him calling the three Jews ' servants of the Most High God'. He also said the fourth person in the furnace looks like 'a son of the gods'. The king immediately respected the God of these Jews and respected them as well. The power of the Jews' God could was amazing to all. Quote
Commissioned Posted October 15, 2015 Report Posted October 15, 2015 Q3. (Daniel 3:19-27) What effect does their deliverance have on their government official colleagues? What effect does it have on the king? What kind of glory does God receive? The deliverance of the three Hebrew young men cause the other government officials to be startled out of their minds. They must have questioned themselves and their reasons for wanting to bring harm to these men. The king on the other hand was curious about the God that indeed was able to save the men in the midst of a fiery furnace. God received all glory as the Hebrews worshiped Him and testified to the King, and all others of the greatness of the God that they serve. Quote
linda bass Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 The effect the deliverance of Daniel's friends have on their government colleagues is, one of amazement. They can't believe the fire had no effect on the Jews. Even their clothes didn't smell like smoke. The effect it had on the king was, he addressed Daniel's three friends as, "servants of the Most High God". The kind of glory God received was, respect and honor. Quote
Lionwolf Posted November 9, 2016 Report Posted November 9, 2016 Q3. (Daniel 3:19-27) What effect does their deliverance have on their government official colleagues? What effect does it have on the king? What kind of glory does God receive? The government colleagues were predictably subdued by Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego surviving the fiery furnace. They were probably speechless over this especially since they witnessed the guards death by simply getting too close to the furnace, knowing these three had been. Inside the furnace, knowing the king had seen an angel, and seeing the three men walk out of the furnace with nothing to show they had been in a fire. They knew God was a God to be feared. The king at this point is also in awe of what has happened. He is trying to come to terms with the realization that God is more powerful than anything he has ever witnessed. At this point Nebuchadnezzar is realizing God is deserving of all glory especially since the three men told him they would be saved if it was God's will and he saved the three from the furnace. Quote
Clelie Posted July 31, 2024 Report Posted July 31, 2024 The governmental officials and colleagues were dumbfounded. The king was amazed at seeing the Jews freely walking in the fire and called them out to make sure they were alive . God received all the glory that the Jews proclaimed about Him to the king. Quote
Krissi Posted August 24, 2024 Report Posted August 24, 2024 The miracle of the three unburnt boys was seen by the king as well as his officers and seems to be acknowledged as a true miracle of God. I wonder if they talked to the boys afterward about the fourth man and what they experienced while in the furnace. I'm sure, if they did, that the boys described to them their God and His power which would be difficult to deny after such a miracle. That seems to be the point of miracles, not just to heal or deliver, but to create a situation in which an observer/participant would have to either deny the obvious, that something had occurred that cannot be explained, or accept that God exists and His powers exceed human understanding. I'm curious about the effect the miracle had on the boys. Quote
