God's child
Q5. (3:7) How can treating one's wife wrongly hinder a husband's prayers. How can treating a husband wrongly hinder a wife's prayers? A person cannot go against God's word and then expect to have his prayers answered. He commands us to love one another just as He loves us. He does not make any exceptions according to His word and if we deliberately disobey Him in how He tells us to treat each other, how can He possibly hear and answer our prayers. csreeves
Q5. (3:7) How can treating one's wife wrongly hinder a husband's prayers. How can treating a husband wrongly hinder a wife's prayers? Treating our spouse's respectfully is as if we treat ourselves respectfully. We should treat our spouce's as our relationship with God should be. If we allow something to come between our relationship it is much like a disturbance in our Heavenly relationship causing a wife's faith to stumble in anger or pain which hinders the mate or wife' prayers. kenny
Q5. (3:7) How can treating one's wife wrongly hinder a husband's prayers. How can treating a husband wrongly hinder a wife's prayers? When we dishonour our partner we dishonour the lord simply because as part of His kingdom we become one with Him and He dwells within every child of God. In treating ones spouse wrongly we are in fact treating God badly and when this happens in a public arena great damage is done to the name of the Lord. God does not listen to or honour the prayers of those in rebellion to Him, we must never forget as husband and wife God joined us in marriage and we became one flesh, and when we dishonour our spouse we dishonour ourselves. Father I pray that You will bind all the marriage unions that You have blessed and bring the husbands and wives to a place in their lives where they become and operate as one flesh I pray this in the precious name of Jesus our Saviour and King. Amen.

How can treating a husband wrongly hinder a wife's prayers? Treating a wife wrong ir treating a husband wrong, the answer is the same. God will not hear the prayers and will not answer the prayers. They are not praying and staying close to God. You cannot hide from God. You will suffer for your wrong doing. We are to forgive as we are to be forgiven. hanks
Q5. (3:7) How can treating one's wife wrongly hinder a husband's prayers. How can treating a husband wrongly hinder a wife's prayers? God has told us He does not listen to sinners, but only to godly men who does His will (John 9:31). He does not accept prayers that a husband and wife offer in an atmosphere of strife and contention. So, if a husband is treating his wife wrongly, his prayers will not be heard. The same applies to the wife. There has to be mutual love and respect. Both husband and wife will then be able to pray together in peace and harmony and enjoy untold divine blessings.

Guitar Jim
Q5. (3:7) How can treating one's wife wrongly hinder a husband's prayers. Without the proper attitude to your wife you can't have a proper attitude towards God. God's love should flow through a husband and manifest itself in his relationship with his wife. If the husband is mistreating his wife he is stifling the flow of God's love. He is, in effect, rejecting God's love. God is unlikely to answer the prayers of such a man. How can treating a husband wrongly hinder a wife's prayers? If a wife is harsh and nagging towards her husband or is emasculating or derides him all the time, she can't expect God to be too sympathetic to her prayers. wifee
If men treat wives wrongly are hypocritical e.g go to church but angry and violent at home, God will not listen to their prayers. If mistreated we should forgive our oppressor, so that we each men and women can be heard by God.
Craig
Q5. (3:7) How can treating one's wife wrongly hinder a husband's prayers. How can treating a husband wrongly hinder a wife's prayers?   Sin creates in our lives a problem with God hearing our prayers. When husbands and wives knowingly treat each other in ways that violate God's instruction in regards to martial relationships is sin.  God doesn't honor those who don't honor Him. He doesn't bless those who knowingly ignore His instructions and standards.  I think we when set ourselves up to be gods He lets us handle things in our lives. When we don what we want and disregard God we set ourselves up to be demi-gods. Why do we need God when we want to do whatsoever we want to do? If we place ourselves in Gods position and see through His eyes everything makes sense in lack of blessings from God. If we want God's participation and blessings in our lives we must make and let God be God in our lives.

How can treating a husband wrongly hinder a wife's prayers? Treating one's wife wrongly will hinder our prayers life because the Lord does not listen to hypocrites, selfish and over bearing husbands. We cannot hide our injustice of wives from God. Conversely, treating one's husbands can be the same as a man mistreating his wife. Joe_Applegarth
We should all strive to show the honor and respect that’s due to all who are heirs of the grace of life. Married people (husband and wife equally) must take care to conduct themselves in a respectful, loving and peaceful manner so that their conflicts and disagreements don’t stand in the way of their prayers. Like you said in the text, you can’t hide from God and mistreating ones spouse is something that will stand between you and God and He won't hear your prayers. Celtic Wanderer
Q5. (3:7) How can treating one’s wife wrongly hinder a husband’s prayers? God will shut his ears to the husband who treats his wife wrongly. Marriage is of Christ and the church. Such a man is not husbanding his wife – he should cherish her and care for her. His only option is to repent and seek his wife’s forgiveness and win her trust back through appropriate behaviour How can treating a husband wrongly hinder a wife’s prayers? In much the same way. How can treating a husband wrongly hinder a wife's prayers? 1. The Lord considers us joint heirs with Him as His children, and when a husband mistreats His wife the Lord said he is unable to pray effectively and therefor his prayers will be "hindered"...(disregarded) .The Lord hates cruelty of any kind to one of His children. He apparently sees himself as ruler over an inferior and is a lie he's believing in order to control her. 2. Again, we are joint heirs with Christ...on equal ground at the foot of the cross where we received salvation. A wife mistreating her husband can hinder her prayers for the same reason as for her husbands prayers being hindered. We are to treat each other with love and mutual respect and honor.

aliya721
You cannot mistreat others and be right with God period. Husband, wife, child, doesn't matter. God is holding us accountable to show love and compassion and not Lord anything over anyone else. We are not to speak badly about anyone, but in humility regard others as better than ourselves. It is impossible to be blessed when we are not "for others" minded.
bertha
How can treating one's wife wrongly hinder a husband's prayers. How can treating a husband wrongly hinder a wife's prayers? God says if you love me obey my commandments. He commands for husbands to love their wives like Jesus loves the church and for women to submit to their husbands. When we don't, we are being disobedient and pretty much rebelling against God. We are brothers and sisters in Christ, the body of Christ. To rebel is to go against God's word. To rebel is worse than witchcraft. These attitudes will hinder our prayers because we fail to forgive or right our wrongs. The word of God says if we have something against our brother, go and take care of that before coming before the Lord with your offerings, and I would say in prayer as well. Pride is the main culprit that prevents us from submitting to our spouses.
Sandtoad
Treating a wife, or for that matter others, shows that the husband spends little time, if any, in sincere prayer time with God. Spending time with God instills a desire to treat a husband and others in a kind, loving, caring manner in imitation of Jesus.
