To treat wife wrongly will hinder husband's prayers because men who are selfish and overbearing are unlikely to be the kind of people who spend much time in prayer and God doesn't listen to the prayers of hypocrites and sinners. The same applies to wife.

Treating your wife wrong can hinder one's prayers because he is after all held accountable before God.

just as a husband who treats his wife wrong and it hinders his prayers, so also if a wife treats her husband wrongly it can hinder her prayers to the Lord.

A. God is a Righteous Father Who delights in the loving relationship of His children. Therefore if one of His children acts in an un -righteous way, He wont be happy and thus wont answer the prayer of the unrighteous child (husband or wife as the case may be)

God chooses not to hear prayers of those who mistreat others--- hypocrites--He knows our hearts.  For the same reason for the wife.  Her attitude toward her husband can ruin things.

For both the husband and the wife, their prayers are hindered because God is listening to prayers offered from a pure and loving heart.
