Travis81
In the twentieth century we saw the evangelistic power of preaching combined with healing the sick. Where in Jesus' ministry do you see this combination? John 4, the woman at the well! John 5 The man at the pool of Bethesda! There are so many, it could be said each time Jesus healed the evidence of evangelistic power of preaching combined with healing the sick can be seen. Where in Paul's ministry? Acts 14:8-11 healing - after sorting through misguidance/misunderstanding - Acts 14:21 - And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, additions the Church/Disciples Acts 16:16-18 Demon expulsion - after sorting through misdirection/misdeeds – Acts 16:25-34 addition to the Church/body – Fellowship/comfort/edification Acts 16:40 Acts 23:7-10 Publius was healed of a fever and of a bloody flux - others were healed which had diseases – Verse 10 Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary. In Peter's ministry? Of those mentioned I like this one: Acts 9:32-35 And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda. And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy. And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately. And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord. We also have Acts 9:36-41 - Tabitha/Dorcas arise - Verse 42 - And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord. In Philip's ministry? Acts 8:5-7 Those that were in bondage were freed – through the preaching of the Gospel (Christ) healing came to the brokenhearted, deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the spiritually blind, and liberty to those that were bruised - Verse 8 And there was great joy in that city. Where in Jesus’ ministry do you see this combination? When Jesus went throughout Galilee, he taught, preached and healed every disease and sickness among the people. Where in Paul’s ministry? Acts 20: Paul resurrected a man from the dead. In Peter’s ministry? Acts 3: Peter healed a lame beggar. In Philip’s ministry? Acts 8: When Philip went down to the city Samaria, he preached and ministered to the sick and prayed for healing power.
Eilen
Throughout Jesus’ adult ministry after his baptism and temptation He preached and healed the sick. As in Matthew 9:35 ‘And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction.’ Paul’s ministry of healing began after Jesus’ resurrection and ascension.is shown in Acts 28:7-10 which describe his healing of the people on the island of Malta. Peter’s ministry of healing began after Jesus’ resurrection and ascension.is shown in In Matthew 4:18, Peter is called to discipleship by Jesus. Acts 3:1-11 narrates his healing of the paralyzed man “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Philip’s is shown in Acts 8:5-7where in Samaria he preached and healed the lame and paralyzed. Matt 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 2. Acts 19:11-12 11God did extraordinary miracles through the hands of Paul, 12so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and the diseases and evil spirits left them. 3. Acts 4:8-12 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers and elders of the people, if we are on trial today for a benefit done to a sick man, as to how this man has been made well, let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead--by this name this man stands here before you in good health. 4. Acts 8:6-8 6 When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said.7 With shrieks, evil spirits came out of many, and many paralytics and cripples were healed.8 So there was great joy in that city. Godswriter
Q2. (1 Corinthians 12:9) In the twentieth century we saw the evangelistic power of preaching combined with healing the sick. Where in Jesus’ ministry do you see this combination? Where in Paul’s ministry? In Peter’s ministry? In Philip’s ministry? For Jesus’ ministry I chose the situation of a Gentile showing her faith. Matthew 15:21-28 Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “ Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and urged him, saying, “ Send her away, for she cries out after us.” But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Then she came and worshipped him, saying, “Lord, help me!” But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour. For Paul I chose Acts 20:7-12 Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continue his message until midnight. There were many lamps in the upper room where they were gathered together. And in a window sat a certain young a man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep. He was overcome by sleep; and as Paul continued speaking, he fell down from the third story and was taken up dead. But Paul went down, fell on him and embracing him said, “Do not trouble yourselves, for his life is in him.” Now when he had come up, had broken bread and eaten, and talked a long while, even till daybreak. And they brought the young man in alive, and they were not a little comforted. For Peter I chose Acts 3:1-10 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked for alms. And taking his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” So he gave them his attention expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them- walking, leaping and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God. Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. For Philip I found the instance in Acts 8:4-8 Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word. Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. And there was great joy in that city(2013) Jeremiah, D. Where in Jesus' ministry do you see this combination? Where in Paul's ministry? In Peter's ministry? In Philip's ministry? The Bible contains more examples and it is hard to imagine how many examples were never even published. Matthew 4:23 Jesus was going all over Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every[a] disease and sickness among the people. Acts 14:8-10 Now at Lystra there was a man sitting who could not use his feet. He was crippled from birth and had never walked. He listened to Paul speaking. And Paul, looking intently at him and seeing that he had faith to be made well, said in a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet.” And he sprang up and began walking. Acts 3:1-9 Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. And a man lame from birth was being carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple that is called the Beautiful Gate to ask alms of those entering the temple. Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive alms. And Peter directed his gaze at him, as did John, and said, “Look at us.” And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them. But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” And he took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong. hanks
Q2. (1 Corinthians 12:9) In the twentieth century we saw the evangelistic power of preaching combined with healing the sick. Where in Jesus' ministry do you see this combination? Where in Paul's ministry? In Peter's ministry? In Philip's ministry? Matthew 4:23 is a good example of Jesus preaching the good news about God’s kingdom and Him healing every kind of disease and sickness. Here He travelled all over Galilee preaching, teaching, and healing - restoring their spiritual well-being as He preached and their physical well-being as He carried out healing. During Paul’s voyage to Rome his ship was shipwrecked and he landed on the island of Malta. Here Paul was bitten by a poisonous viper, but when he showed no ill effects, they thought he was a god. News of this spread rapidly throughout the island so that for the next 3 months the people brought all their sick to Paul, and they were all healed (Acts 28:8-9). This was a great opportunity for Paul to preach the message – at the same this was proof of his apostleship as well as proving the genuineness of his message. Peter visited many parts of Judea and visited some of the Christian groups that had sprung up. At Lydda he healed a paralysed man who had been bedridden eight years (Acts 9:32-35) and at nearby Joppa he raised a woman to life. In both places news of the miracles spread and many people believed (Acts 9:36-42). With the dispersal of the Christians we see the apostles spreading the good news of salvation. Peter not only proclaimed Christ but performed many healing miracles, resulting in great joy and them listening to the gospel. I could not find anything about Philip the Apostle’s healing. However, Philip the Evangelist is mentioned in Acts 8:4-8. Wherever he went he also spread the good news of salvation. He travelled mostly around Samaria were he not only proclaimed Christ but performed many miracles resulting in unclean spirits being driven out and the paralysed and lame being healed. These gifts of healing give a foretaste of the perfect health that will be ours when Christ grants to us resurrection bodies.

(1 Corinthians 12:9) In the twentieth century we saw the evangelistic power of preaching combined with healing the sick. Where in Jesus’ ministry do you see this combination? Where in Paul’s ministry? In Peter’s ministry? In Philip’s ministry? a. In Jesus ministry: Mark 2:8-12 At once Jesus knew in His spirit that they were considering this within themselves. “Why do you question these things in your hearts?” He asked. “Which is easier: to say to a paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, pick up your mat, and walk’? But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” He said to the paralytic, “I tell you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home.” And immediately the man got up, picked up his mat, and walked out in front of them all. As a result, everyone was amazed and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!” b. Paul's ministry: Acts 14:8-10 In Lystra sat a man crippled in his feet, who was lame from birth and had never walked. This man was listening to the words of Paul, who looked intently at him and saw that he had faith to be healed. In a loud voice Paul called out, “Stand up on your feet!” And the man jumped up and began to walk. c. Peter & John's ministry: Healing of the lame man - Acts 3:3-8 When he saw Peter and John about to enter the temple, he asked them for money. Peter looked directly at him, as did John. “Look at us!” said Peter. So the man gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. But Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!” Taking him by the right hand, Peter helped him up, and at once the man’s feet and ankles were strengthened. He sprang to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and leaping and praising God. d. Phillips ministry: Acts 8:5-7 Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ to them. The crowds gave their undivided attention to Philip’s message and the signs they saw him perform. With loud shrieks, unclean spirits came out of many who were possessed, and many of the paralyzed and lame were healed.
Philippians1.2
Q9.2 In the twentieth century we saw the evangelistic power of preaching combined with healing the sick. Where in Jesus’ ministry do you see this combination? (1 Corinthians 12:9) Jesus' Ministry started after He walked away from the devil's temptations in the dessert ( Matt 4:17 ) Matt 4:17 "From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matt 4:23 "And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. 24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. Matt 8 : 1 "When Jesus had ( finished teaching the Beatitudes ) come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. 2 And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” 3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Matt 8 :7 And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.” ( concerning the Centurions servant ); { after hearing the Centurion's Faith } 8:13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour. Matt 8 : 16 "When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” Matt 9:35 "then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were [weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” * Preaching and teaching are only part of these miracles , sometimes we need more , as with the paralyzed boy in Matt 17 : Matt 17: 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” * There are many more examples. After leading by example He commissioned the Twelve disciples For the Apostles it all started here ( Luke :1 -6 ) LUKE 9 :1 "Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. 2 He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. 3 And He said to them, “Take nothing for the journey, neither staffs nor bag nor bread nor money; and do not have two tunics apiece. 4 “Whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart. 5 And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them.” 6 So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere." * Where in Paul’s ministry? Acts 14: 8 And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked. 9 This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, 10 said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked. Acts 14: 21 "And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra , Iconium, and Antioch, 22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.” Acts 14: 14 "Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. 15 And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” So she persuaded us. * ( Spiritual healing ) Acts 14: 16 ( Demon Possessed ) "Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling. 17 This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” 18 And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour. Acts 16: 29 ( Philippian Jailer saved ) " Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved ? ” 31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized. 34 Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household. Acts 19:11 "Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. Acts 20 :7 - 12 * ( Paul preached long, boy falls and dies, Paul resurrected the boy from death ) Acts 28 : 8 *( After shipwreck at Malta ) "And it happened that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and dysentery. Paul went in to him and prayed, and he laid his hands on him and healed him. * In Peter’s ministry? Acts 2 :14 * ( Peter preaches Joel's prophecy at Pentecost and 3000 are saved ) Acts 3:6 " Then Peter said, ( TO THE BLIND MAN ) “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. Acts 4:8-12 "Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers and elders of the people, if we are on trial today for a benefit done to a sick man, as to how this man has been made well, let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead--by this name this man stands here before you in good health." Acts 9:32-35 " (at Lydda ) And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy. And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately. And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord. Acts 9:36-41 - ( Tabitha arises ) "And turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up. 42 And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord. * In Philip’s ministry? ( Acts 8: 5- 8 ) Acts 8:5 "Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. 6 And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7 For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. 8 And there was great joy in that city." >>>>>> AND NOW IT IS OUR TURN TO CONTINUE THIS MINISTRY .... THROUGH THE POWER OF THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT !! <<<<<<< Quote

(1 Corinthians 12:9) In the twentieth century we saw the evangelistic power of preaching combined with healing the sick. Where in Jesus’ ministry do you see this combination? Where in Paul’s ministry? In Peter’s ministry? In Philip’s ministry? Q2a. In Mt. 4:23 Jesus went all about Galilee teaching and preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom and healing every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people. Others are when He preached to the 5,000 plus people, fed them from the multiplied loaves and fishes then healed all of their diseases. He did the same when He preached to the 4,000 plus people and fed them as well and then healed all of those who were among them. b. One example In Paul's ministry in Acts 20:9-11 Paul preached and taught all night and Eutychus, a young man fell asleep while sitting in the window, fell to the ground and died. Paul raised him from the dead while embracing him, celebrated communion with them all and departed. c. Peter at Lydda in Acts 9:32-35 healed the crippled Aeneas and shared the Gospel with him, and the inhabitants of Lydda saw what happened to him and they turned to the Lord. d. Philip the deacon in Acts 8:5-8 proclaimed the Gospel to the people and the people watched the miracles and wonders which he kept performing. Foul spirits came out of many, crippled people were restored to health.
Old Jerry
There is a lot of places in Jesus’ ministry that I see the combination of evangelistic power of preaching combined with the healing of the sick. One place is when he healed the lepers and they told others about it. Also when the prostitute was brought before Jesus, he healed the prostitute and also made the men look at their life. The same is true in Paul’s, Peter’s and Phillip’s ministries. The bible tells of all kinds of healing and evangelism.
haar
Q2. (1 Corinthians 12:9) Q. In the twentieth century we saw the evangelistic power of preaching combined with healing the sick. Where in Jesus' ministry do you see this combination? A. There are several instances Jesus healed the sick in the process of His evangelical journeys/ teachings. One of such instances was the healing of the 10 lepers as he entered a certain village (Luke 17:12-16. We are also told in Matthew 9:35 (NIV) that "Jesus went through all the towns and villages teaching in the synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every diseases and sicknesses". Q. Where in Paul's ministry? A. In Acts 19:11-12 (NIV) we are told that "God did extraordinary miracles through Paul so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick and their illness were cured and evil spirits left them" In Peter's ministry? We are told in Acts 5:15 that "..more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some as he passed by. In Philip's ministry? In Acts 8:5ff reports that "Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there... crowds heard .. saw signs he performed... with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed... Rosesam
Q2. (1 Corinthians 12:9) In the twentieth century we saw the evangelistic power of preaching combined with healing the sick. Where in Jesus’ ministry do you see this combination? Where in Paul’s ministry? In Peter’s ministry? In Philip’s ministry? Jesus preached, taught, healed the sick and delivered the demon possessed which we read in Matthew 4:23 and 9:35. Before He fed the 5000, He preached to them and healed their sick. In Acts 9:11-12, we read of how handkerchiefs or aprons from Paul were brought to the sick for their healing. In Lystra, a lame man was healed in the midst of Paul’s preaching (Acts 14:8-10). Then in Acts 20:7-12, we read of how a man named Eutychus slept and fell off the third floor and died and was raised from the dead. In Peter’s ministry we see this combination in healing of the lame man at the gate Beautiful, which is found in Acts 3:1-10. Then in Acts 9: 32-35, we read of Aeneas who was sick of the palsy for eight years was healed by Peter after preaching Jesus to him. In Acts 8: 5-7, we read of Philip preaching and healing the sick and delivering the demon possessed in Samaria.

MyRockOfAges
Q2. (1 Corinthians 12:9) In the twentieth century we saw the evangelistic power of preaching combined with healing the sick. Where in Jesus' ministry do you see this combination? Where in Paul's ministry? In Peter's ministry? In Philip's ministry? Jesus ministry: We see after Jesus preaching (in Matthew chap 5,6,7) and then as they come down the moauntaun with the multitude following Him, witness healing of the leper, centurion’s servant,Peter’s mother-in-law... Paul’s ministry - Acts 14 - when Paul and Barnabas were at Iconium, at the synagogue they preached to both Jews and Greeks who believed them. They testified His word, and also there was signs and wonders. There were also some unbelieving Jews who were against this and stirred up Gentiles. And the plan was to stone Paul and Barnabas. They were aware of it and fled from there to Lystra and Derbe. And there was a man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a crippled from his mother's womb, who never had walked, who heard Paul perceived that he had faith to be healed and with a loud voice told him- Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. Peter’s ministry - Acts 3 - when Peter and John walked to the temple at the hour of prayer, saw a lame man, crippled from birth was carried daily by men to the gate of the temple for alms. Peter looking firmly into his eyes, with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. Immediately the man received strength in his feet and ankle bones , he leaped and stood and stood up and leaped and walked with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God. Philip’s ministry - Philip went to Samaria and preached Christ to them. People intently heard what he spoke, hearing ad seeing miracles which he did. Nana Karlsson
Throughout Jesus's ministry one can say that he combined ministry and healing wherever He went. There were so many healings and miracles. A typical example can be found in luke 6 : 17-19. when He ministered to a great crowd of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon who came to hear him and were healed of their diseases including those vexed with unclean spirits. The whole crowd tried to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all. Paul's Ministry Acts 19 : 11 - 20 In Paul's ministry we can read this from the book of Acts 19 : 11-20. And God did extra ordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that handkerchiefs or aprons were carried away from his body to the sick, and diseases left them and evil spirits came out of them. Peter's Ministry : Acts 5 : 12- 16 In Acts 5 : 12-16 one can read about how God used Peter mightly during his ministration. In verses15-16 it is recorded that the crowd even brought the sick out into the streets and placed them on beds and mats, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might touch some of them. Crowds also came out of the cities surrounding Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those who were afflicted by evil spirits, and they were all healed. Phillip's Ministry : Acts 8: 5-8 Phillip went down to the main city of Samaria and preached the Messiah to them. When the crowds heard Phillip and saw the miracles which he did, they listened in unity to what he said. For unclean spirits came out of many who were possessed. And many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. So there was much joj in that city.
Celia P
In the twentieth century we saw the evangelistic power of preaching combined with healing the sick. Where in Jesus' ministry do you see this combination? That was the soul purpose of His ministry, to preach and heal wherever He went. Matthew 4:23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.Where in Paul's ministry? Acts 14:5 Paul and Barnabas went to Lystra Acts 14:8 He was listening to Paul preach the gospel. When Paul saw that he had faith to be healed, Paul said in a loud voice: “Stand up straight on your feet!” The man jumped up and walked!!In Peter's ministry? Act 3:19 Peter heals the crippled beggar. In Philip's ministry? Acts 8:6-8 - Phillip went to the city of Samaria... 6 Crowds listened intently to Philip because they were eager to hear his message and see the miraculous signs he did. 7 Many evil spirits were cast out, screaming as they left their victims. And many who had been paralyzed or lame were healed. 8 So there was great joy in that city. Love and Blessings to you all. Xx
