Berry
Q2. (2 Peter 1:3) Meditate on this verse for a few minutes. It is a verse about provision. What is the scope and extent and boundaries of "everything we need for life and godliness"? No limitation on what we need for both physical and spiritual life is indicated. God's provision is for "everything" we need. What does "knowledge" or "knowing God" have to do with this promise? We have to know what it is that God has promised to give us, so that we can appropriate His provision. This involves searching the Scriptures to find out what He has promised, and it also involves getting to know Him, that is, His character, so that we know we can confidently trust Him to do what He says. Craig
Q2. (2 Peter 1:3) Meditate on this verse for a few minutes. It is a verse about provision. What is the scope and extent and boundaries of "everything we need for life and godliness"? What does "knowledge" or "knowing God" have to do with this promise? The scope and extent and boundaries of "everything we need for life and godliness" encompass all dimensions of a person's life, the physical as well as the spiritual. The physical and the spiritual intertwine in the basic fabric of our lives. God provides through His Word all a person needs to know in order to live godly lives in the here and now as well as in eternity. Unless we engage God through the Word of God and prayer we do not have this knowledge and cannot know God. God provides His Word and access to Him through prayer that we might know Him, know His promises, know how to receive His blessings, etc. Additionally and most importantly, God has provided His Spirit to dwelt within us to help us with our relationship with Him and to be the Christ-like people we need to be. God's provision awaits our response.

Erander
God as our provider, graces us with spiritual provision; feeding and taking care of our spiritual desires as a result of a deep personal relationship with out Lord Jesus Christ. I believe the boundaries are what God has set in place to keep us from growing haughty in our spiritual power. The boundaries are in what God allows, and it stops at whatever falls short of righteousness. Our relationship with, or "knowledge" of Christ makes us deeply desire to be closer, therefore more like God, our true source. His promise: "They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” Jeremiah 31:

"Knowing God" provides not only physical, but spiritual provision structures our relationship with God with appropriate and profound devotion. Godswriter
The scope and extent of it are being willing to live soberly, righteously, godly in this present world at all times. The best way to do that is to be sanctified meaning set apart from the world and holy and pure like Him so the world can see a difference in us. We need to be sincere and have simple lives as well. We need to be willing to make time for Christ daily through prayer, Bible study and devotions and be willing to do what He says. Knowing God is what matters when it comes to learning about His promises. It is what causes us to be able to understand them better and get a grasp on what they mean for us.
