Irmela
Q32. (1 Peter 4:10) We are stewards of God's grace. What are the responsibilities of a steward or trustee? In what way do we act as trustees of what belongs to God? In what way are spiritual gifts or the message of the gospel part of this trust we have been given? The steward or trustee needs to manage what has been entrusted to them, fairly and responsibly, so that the work entrusted to them can be accomplished. We are to use it to draw others and encourage others as He guides us on a moment by moment basis. In the Great Commission, Christ sent us into all the world to share the Gospel, to make disciples of all nations.
Krissi
Because of the parable of the talents, I think of my responsibilities as if I were an investor or money manager of His talents. My goal is to increase, with manageable risk, God's investment. I'm to maximize His "talents" for when He returns by taking a shorter-term window. I'm not supposed to safely squirrel away His talents in a low-yield but safe investment, but take risk. Risk=Reward. I interpret this parable as a call to take risks for Him, to not live safely and therefore get little return, but to risk the gifts He’s given. Practically, what does this mean? I suppose, by way of example, if a person had the gift of healing, that person could risk “failing” or not hearing God’s inner voice clearly. This passage suggests that it’s better to get it wrong and be humiliated than not try to heal at all. Since we’re all commanded to witness, then the risk could be talking to a person who seems resistant and hostile. Or, perhaps, the risk could be talking to someone who could harm you, such as one’s boss or a government bureaucrat. Better to accept the loss than not risk. Diane D.
What are the responsibilities? Ensure that those things given under our stewardship do not decrease in value, but rather increase or grow larger (the two good stewards grew the mina 3 and 10 times its original value) Represent their master in their day to day activities Do not delay in performance of their responsibilities In what way are spiritual gifts or the message of the gospel par of this trust we have been given? We are to use our gifts on behalf of God and others. The message of the gospel should also be reflected in our beliefs and our daily conversation. We should also be responsible for extending its reach to the rest of the world.

The careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care. By accepting God’s gift and grace; appropriating them in the manner and purposes that He intended them to be used. The gifts and the gospel message are the trust we have been given. The gifts we have received enable us to better share the gospel message entrusted to us. When the gospel message is heard, then God receives the glory as He brings in the harvest of those who now have put their faith, hope and trust in Jesus Christ for their eternal salvation. hanks
Q32. (1 Peter 4:10) We are stewards of God's grace. What are the responsibilities of a steward or trustee? In what way do we act as trustees of what belongs to God? In what way are spiritual gifts or the message of the gospel part of this trust we have been given? Our responsibilities are to faithfully use our gifts of God’s grace to serve others, and not only for our own purposes. We act as trustees of these gifts in that we are intended to be administrators or managers through which these blessings/graces can flow to others. They are given to us but should not end with us, in that they should be passed on to others. We are trusted to manage these riches but they don’t belong to us, they are used to bring glory to our Heavenly Father and to benefit and build up His church. Rob Mc.
As stewards, we don’t own the property entrusted to us. It belongs to another (in this case, God). Our job is to receive the responsibility of doing what is best with that which is given to us. As stewards, we are entitled to a small portion, as compensation for our work. The bulk of the provenance must be utilized as God directs; in most cases we are to use the property, gifts, and benefits to share the word of God and bring others into the Kingdom. As heirs to the kingdom, we have received, through grace, certain gifts from those available to the family of the creation. So, whether we can prophesy, encourage, teach, give or something else, we are to use these gifts to the best of our abilities, giving God the credit, and not boasting that it is by our works that we accomplish these things. Lottie
Q32. (1 Peter 4:10) We are stewards of God's grace. What are the responsibilities of a steward or trustee? In what way do we act as trustees of what belongs to God? In what way are spiritual gifts or the message of the gospel part of this trust we have been given? A steward manages a household or estate and oversees how the money or goods is distributed. He makes sure they are distributed the way the master wanted. We act as trustees because God has given us certain gifts to use for Him and the church and we are to do as He requests. Spiritual gifts and the gospel message are part of our responsibility. We are to use our gifts for the church and spread the gospel message to the world. We are to use our money wisely to build up the church and for missions and other projects He puts on our hearts. Zanele Tlhakanelo
A steward takes care of his master's business. He ensures that things are properly managed as per his master's expectations. He knows that he does not fulfil his own personal desire but is a custodian of the master's plans and fulfils his will always. As trustees we do not take advantage of God's people but make sure that do the will of God all the time. We understand that when we exploit others, God can take whatever has been entrusted to us as we are His servant and are called to serve and not to be served. We do not have to compete with one another but make sure that we carry the mandate of the Kingdom as expected of the trustees. Spiritual gifts are given to us by grace so that we can share the gospel message so that the lost are brought back to God. As disciples of Christ, we must not compete with one another but compliment one another so that we can drawn a lot of people to God. Those who can prophesy, let them do so, those who can teach, likewise as spiritual gifts are not from us but from God. Therefore, God has trusted us with these gifts not to hoard or boast about them but we need to do His will more than ours.

In what way do we act as trustees of what belongs to God? Our responsibility as stewards or trustees is to hold that which has been placed under our care for service to those in need. We do this by monitoring the needs of others and reaching out to them with that which we have been entrusted with. In what way are spiritual gifts or the message of the gospel part of this trust we have been given? Spiritual gifts or message of the gospel are part the trust given to us and are meant to be dispensed out to the needy and not to kept or hoarded. Debra Grant
Q32. (1 Peter 4:10) We are stewards of God’s grace. What are the responsibilities of a steward or trustee? In what way do we act as trustees of what belongs to God? In what way are spiritual gifts or the message of the gospel part of this trust we have been given? 1. As a steward, we are to manage with what we are given by helping others as best as possible. We are to not hoard anything and not be selfish at all. 2. Remembering that what we are trusted with is God's to be used faithfully. We are to provide for others as much as possible. When we see a need, ignoring it is not of God. Expressing our love to fulfill the need anyway possible and righteously is of God. 3. God gives us different gifts to use for the ministry. The gifts are to build up the church successfully as we help others to grow stronger. It is also joy and encouragement for ourselves while obeying God. We are strengthen by disbursing gifts to others righteously and thanking God for trusting us to do so. Our blessing comes when we disburse help to others. JOLLAM BANDA
We are stewards or trustees of spiritual gifts given by God's grace, responsible to God to use them to build up God's people and Christ's work in the world. As good stewards of Christ's gifts, we are to be as generous as possible in the distribution of the blessings of the gifts in order to build up his church. As servants of God we should make sure that the master's other servants have what they need for the common good. Grace and gifts of grace are not to be hoarded. pickledilly
A steward is one who is given something provided by another for the purpose of management and use, a fiduciary who keeps the best interests and goals of the owner in mind at all times. As His redeemed child, I am expected to implement His gifts of the Spirit that have been entrusted to me to be used for His benefit, His purposes, His glory in building His kingdom and ministering to His people. They are not meant for my benefits, purposes, or glory – although proper use of them will powerfully enhance my own life. To employ them wisely and profitably, we can't rely on our own judgment, but have to rely on the Spirit's leading and power...Holy Spirit wisdom, not human wisdom! Lisa Wolf
Q32. (1 Peter 4:10) We are stewards of God’s grace. What are the responsibilities of a steward or trustee? In what way do we act as trustees of what belongs to God? In what way are spiritual gifts or the message of the gospel part of this trust we have been given? My favorite quote in this portion, Grace and gifts of grace are not to be hoarded. Each of us has a different gift to contribute to the Body of Christ. God gives the gift, the Spirit works within us to bestow the gift on others, and all of us grow together in Jesus. Our part: be faithful in action--let God work in us.
