Clelie
Healing of the lepers, opening the eyes of the blind, healing the paralyzed and casting the demons are among those whom Jesus has ministered in deep compassion of heart over their helplessness.Jesus was not put off by their unpleasant physical aspects for he was so humlble. Washing the feet of His disciples was the most humble act of Jesus.
Mama Eve
Q9. Which one of Jesus' examples of ministering to the hurting stands out to you the most? There were so many humble things that Jesus did including the washing of the disciples feet. I chose #4. Here we see Jesus healing the sick and the oppressed within the three years he was here on earth. He healed a multitude of people. People from all walks of life and with all sorts of pain who needed healing. Jesus always showed compassion and humbleness to all he healed. People who were in darkness was able to see the light, the lame walk and the discouraged were healed because Jesus was their only hope. Which shows the greatest degree of humility? Too me is when Jesus touched the lepers who perhaps hadn't felt a human hand in decades. Just the gentle touch of Jesus spoke volume to this lowly person. Jesus gave him hope of being held again and healed him. Jesus never judges anyone who he healed. Jesus compassion and humbleness is so valuable that we as believers should learn from him no matter who the lowest of lowly might be. Brother Clifford wilson
I would choose Jesus ministering to the palsy. When Jesus saw that they had broke open the roof where he was ministering. Lowering one man into his pressence witth the other sufferers. This shows his humility under great press of people seeking to be healed of desease.( Mark Ch. 2) Jesus healed him "Saying son, thy ssins be forgiven. This had to be a tense, pressure scene, here is jesus doing what he does had to be humbled to go first to him being lowered from the roof, others inside lined up to be healed, what a show of belief and a time to be humble and loveable. Another show of Jesus humility is Jesus and the samaritan woman at the well. Jesus humbled himself by speaking to the samaritan, they were"nt to be associating with samaritans. Jesus conversed with the woman and told her things that only God could know. Just by changing the very traditions of the Jews of his time, such as healing on the sabbath his humbled himself giving thanks to God, by doing God's will. hanks
Q9. Which of Jesus' examples of ministering to the hurting stands out to you the most? Which shows the greatest degree of humbling? What stands out most to me is that our Lord Jesus Christ came down to earth to save sinners (1 Tim 1:15). He associated with the lowly, the unattractive, the despised, the dregs of society so that He could call them to repentance and teach them about truth, holiness and the good news of His kingdom. Being God, He knew what awaited Him. His years of public ministry, His rejection, suffering, and death. Taking on the very nature of a servant (Phil 2:7). Being spat upon and mocked, stripped of His clothes, beaten, and nailed to a cross between two criminals. Yet in agony still declared, “Father, forgive them” (Luke 23:34). All this showing the greatest degree of humility.
hanks
Q10. Does being in a place of authority, such as a rabbi, police officer, or parent prevent you from correcting with humility? How does Jesus use rebukes to form disciples? We often see great leaders displaying humility. I think this vital trait separates the great leaders from the merely good leaders. They come across as genuine and sincere resulting in a greater atmosphere of trust. In parenting I feel that not disciplining our children can be seen as not truly caring for them. We bring them up gently with love, teaching them and instructing them about the Lord (Eph 6:4). I know that our Jesus rebukes the disciples He loves (Heb 12:6). This includes instruction, discipline, correction, and warning. All of which are there to cultivate good virtues and drive out evil. In Prov 3:12 we read “… the LORD disciplines those He loves, as a father the son he delights in.” Proof that God’s discipline is because of His love. Jewells
Q9. Which of Jesus' examples of ministering to the hurting stands out to you the most? Which shows the greatest degree of humbling? I would chose the way he reached out to women in particular. The woman at the well, the woman caught in adultery and woman with an issue of blood etc. All of the people were important, men and woman, and because of the sickness or disease had become an outcast and despised, or a burden on society, or family, even though possible loved in some way. However, him addressing women in various situations elevated woman in history. Woman have always been stripped of rights and there has always been a double standard. Jesus reached out to many many women and it changed history. Of course, reaching out and healing the people also changed society as a whole. Anywhere Christianity has spread in the whole world there is a kinder society tolerating the weaknesses and the attitudes are less about the survival of the strong (evolution) however it can be attained, and the means justify the ends. Jesus elevated the weak and made them strong. He also revealed the inward attitudes of the heart which shows we are all really weak if we just admit it. Zanele Tlhakanelo
I believe all of His ministering stands out to me because in each one of them, there is a lesson to be learnt. When Jesus rescued the woman who was caught in the act of committing adultery teaches us that we are all sinners and it is easy to bring the one just caught but how many commit sins in private and pretend to be holy in public. Again when Jesus is accused of dining with sinners by the Pharisees and He responds that the doctor does for the healthy but for the sick and therefore He has not come for the righteous for sinners. The one that shows the greatest degree of humbling is when He asked the Father to forgive those who were mocking and crucifying Him because they do not know what they are doing. This is most humbling when you are to forgive those doing evil to you but still remember that Jesus came for all mankind.

Brenda Joy
Jesus' humility is that which moved him with compassion. The very seat of Christs emotions his lungs, heart, the core of him etc. everything he felt physically and emotionally caused him to be moved in such a way that he could not nor wanted to ignore the needs. His sympathy, compassion, empathy are what caused him to respond in such a loving, kind way.

"See that you don't tell this to anyone. Humility lies at the root from which other virtues flow. The greatest degree of humbling was when He took the disciples aside and washed the feet of each one. Lisa Wolf
Q9. Which of Jesus’ examples of ministering to the hurting stands out to you the most? Which shows the greatest degree of humbling? The example of Jesus ministering to the hurting that stands out to me the most is the section Matthew records of Jesus quoting Isaiah. A bruised reed...a smoldering wick... This example of Jesus' compassion stands out to me the most because every person with no matter how small of a bit of faith, He has compassion on them. Likewise, we need to remain humble in the face of human need with no judgment--only extending the compassion of our Lord. The example showing the greatest degree of humbling is that when He healed, He said nothing of His Power, but everything about the recipient's faith. George L
Q9. 1. Which of Jesus' examples of ministering to the hurting stands out to you the most? The continuing to minister to the gathered many late into the hours. These are not noteworthy like the blind or the lever. Yet Jesus spent the time to minister to the least of them. 2. Which shows the greatest degree of humbling? The Samaritan woman, and the woman with the issue of blood. In both cases the tradition of a Rabi never speaking to a woman not wife or family, or dealing with the unclean openly. He gave no credence to tradition and position. He touched the need .
