Brother Clifford wilson
Key word being faith. Faith in the imputed word of God. Faith is where action comes from. Knowledge comes from faith in God. We have the written word as our guide. Humility and quiet meditation have its strength in compassion. The early church and godly leadership. Leadership from Paul, Stephen, Barnabus Peter and young Timothy were essential to the teaching of the goodness in Christ. The good deeds of the early church, such as feeding the poor and taking care of the widows. Teaching sound church doctrine. The Christ taught teachers changed the hardened ways of old traditions. Humility was and are essential qualities to teach the word of God in faith. To have faith is to command tasks and to serve others. Good deeds and faith come with Gods practicing humble servants. Zanele Tlhakanelo
Good deeds are related to humility and compassion in that when you take care of the poor and the needy, your focus is on serving others and not the self. Jesus Christ taught us to take care of the widows, orphans and the poor and He also demonstrated how to have compassion on all people. When He served the multitude who followed Him, it was a lesson to all of us that it is not about the needs of the self but of other people. In the early church, sharing of food with the hungry, clothing the naked and providing shelter were common among the people. In the Book of Acts we also know that those who had properties even sold them so that they could share among themselves and that no one could be noticed as being lacking. Faith without deeds is dead. It is important to understand that we are to glorify God by doing good at all times. We cannot say we love God yet our brothers that we see daily while suffering, we do not take care of them. God's love is a demonstration of our faith that we have been saved and therefore we must be generous with what we have as God gave us His only begotten Son that we may have life in abundance. Jewells
Q32. (Ephesians 2:10; Titus 3:1-2; James 2:17-18) How are good deeds related to humility and compassion? What kinds of good deeds were common in the early church? Is it possible to have faith without any fruit of good deeds that demonstrate your faith? Good deeds are considered actions or good fruit which are seen as we obey God's word instructing us to be kind, merciful, gentle, good, and caring of others. We are the workmanship of God created in Christ Jesus by the word of God who has instructed to love our neighbor as ourselves. The Holy Spirit reveals the love to us and we pour the love on those in and around us as God instructs or shows us the needs. We abide in Him. In the early church there was no social welfare systems or insurance programs or different organizations to care for the sick and the poor or the widows. Paul instructed them to reach out and fill these needs as they were everywhere. He instructed them to work and to give to those in need. He instructed them to give as God has given to them. This requires faith to believe that as we give more will come to give again. So good works and faith work together.
Brenda Joy
Q32. (Ephesians 2:10; Titus 3:1-2; James 2:17-18) How are good deeds related to humility and compassion? What kinds of good deeds were common in the early church? Is it possible to have faith without any fruit of good deeds that demonstrate your faith? It is a core belief of Christianity that we do unto others. When we are looking to others before ourselves that demonstrates a humble spirit and a humble spirit offers compassion. We feed the poor, clothe the needy, share Christ to the lowly, children and helpless. In the early church they gave shelter, clothing, food to the poor, strangers, foreigners. It is not possible to have faith with out works... The Bible clearly said faith without works is dead... Dead faith is not faith...
Clelie
Humility that comes from loving God prompts us to reach out to those who are in need as commanded by scriptures. Doing good to others , showing love, giving and helping are all marks of compassion and humility as modeled by Christ. In the early church sharing with people who are in need, selling properties and distributing the proceeds to those who needed help were some of the acts of good deeds especially to those of the family of believers. Faith without deeds is death as James expressed it.

Mama Eve
Q.32 Eph. 2:10, Titus 3:1-2, James 2:17-18 How are good deeds related to humility and compassion? Paul instructs believers to be ready for good works because we are redeemed by Jesus and should take on Christ's character. Showing true humility toward all men. Especially, the needy. It is the fruit of a focus on the needs of others. Part of humility is a lower focus on self and a higher focus on the needs of others. James suggests that faith by itself is not enough, and that good deeds demonstrate the authenticity of one's faith. What kinds of good deeds were common in the early church? The Book of Acts speaks about the joy, generous giving. People would sell their possessions to help those in need. Early church's non-cash and collaborative giving, as well as their daily distribution of food to the needy. They cared for the sick and dying. They saved infants and took them in. They were humble in serving each other. They were united. They taught forgiveness and didn't retaliate against opponents and prayed for people's needs and shared the gospel. Is it possible to have Faith without any fruit of good deeds that demonstrate your faith? No! Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action is dead. Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. (Paul sums it up).
George L
Q32. (Ephesians 2:10; Titus 3:1-2; James 2:17-18) 1. How are good deeds related to humility and compassion? They are open visible demonstrations that you place having to give more important more than having to hold to oneself. Placing others need as important to your fellowship. 2. What kinds of good deeds were common in the early church? Sharing food, shelter, and clothing. 3. Is it possible to have faith without any fruit of good deeds that demonstrate your faith? In that case what might that faith claim be based in. That I am righteous before God by ignoring the needy? As I am righteous enough on my own. When Jesus payed doown his life for others. Faith with out fruit of the spirit is improperly centered at the least.
hanks
Q32. (EPHESIANS 2:10; TITUS 3:1-2; JAMES 2:17-18) How are good deeds related to humility and compassion? What kinds of good deeds were common in the early church? Is it possible to have faith without any fruit of good deeds that demonstrate your faith? Being compassionate towards others and by taking care of their needs is part of humility. It focuses less on us and more on others. In the early church the attention was more on feeding the poor and looking after widows (Acts 6:1). No, without faith there is no salvation - we are God’s handiwork created in Christ Jesus to do good deeds (Eph 2:10). On the other hand, our union with Christ has made us a new creation (2 Cor 5:17) – the old things have passed away; all things have been made new. We are saved for good deeds, not by good deeds, but for good deeds. These good deeds, our generosity and acts of kindness, prove the reality of our faith (Jam 2:17). Summed up: Faith leads to salvation. Salvation results in good deeds. Good deeds will be rewarded by our Father in Heaven.
Lisa Wolf
Q32. (Ephesians 2:10; Titus 3:1-2; James 2:17-18) How are good deeds related to humility and compassion? What kinds of good deeds were common in the early church? Is it possible to have faith without any fruit of good deeds that demonstrate your faith? Prior to the huge list of character qualities associated with humility, you noted in the lesson information that , "humble lives that are no longer essentially selfish, but considerate of others." The character quality of compassion is a list leader. Jesus so often had compassion. In the early church we know that they shared everything (Acts 4:32), healed many (Acts 5:12), distributed food daily to the widows (Acts 6:1), and when the church was scattered, they "preached the word wherever they went" (Acts 8:4), and throughout all of this early church time, they prayed. When we are truly humble all of the characteristics of Jesus will begin to show in our lives. The Lord says it is impossible to have faith with no fruit of good deeds. James reminds us about the faith and the actions of Abraham, "You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. " (James 2:22) Titus 3:1-2, "Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone," reminds us to seek all of these things as we long to become more like our Lord Jesus Christ.
