heatherdills
Sarah's strengths are resilience, strength, and steadfastness. Her weaknesses were doubt, jealousy, and self-righteousness. She showed faith by trusting God to get her and Abraham out of their situations. She lacked faith in God's perfect timing.

Jen
What were Sarah's strength's? Her weaknesses? Where did she show faith? Where did she show lack of faith? Some of Sarah's strength's 1)good mother 2)woman of faith 3) courage Her weaknesses 1)blamed others for her own misdeeds 2)lack of faith in some instances 3)didn't seek God's direction but took matters in her own hands Where did she show faith She showed faith in leaving the land with Abraham and while in different rulers harems to protect Abraham Where did she lack faith? When she was told she would be a mother in a year she laughed. I don't know if this was lack of faith or denial of pent up emotions and dashed hopes. God Bless! grace
Sarah was strong in the sense that She respected the role of Abraham in submitting to him as the spiritual leader of the home. Also, she knew what had to be done in expelling Hagar, in making sure that Isaac did not lose his rightful inheritance. As indicated by others, Sarah was unbelieving and doubted the promise of God. As well, she took matters into her own hand, instead of waiting upon God. And of course, trying to lay blame on others, instead of repenting for the wrong she brought to others. I believe she had faith in accepting the fact that her son,Isaac, would be a blessing to all nations. She lacked faith in not leaving the promise in the hands of the Lord. June
Sarah's strength was being submissive to her husband and doing as he asked. She had to trust God most of all. He promised her a son and when she was 90, Isaac was born. She was strong during all her abductions and never wavered. Weak in her faith by abusing Hagar and having Abraham send her and Ishmael away. She lacked faith that God would give her that son that He promised. After conceiving her faith grew. When she was told that she would be mother of nations her faith grew. She didn't want Ishmael to get any inheritance from Abraham, which belonged to Isaac as promised by God. She was one Great Lady that endured alot in her lifetime!!!
Magnus
Sarah was dutifully subservient to her husband Abraham. Barren for most of her life, her faith in Yahweh remained imperfect and immature up to the point she conceived Isaac. When Abraham told Sarah that they must leave Ur, Sarah packed the household, out of respect for her husband
Helen Spaulding
Q1. Take some time to review Sarah's life and legacy. What were her strengths? Her weaknesses? Where did she show faith? Where did she lack faith? Sarah apparently did not protest leaving the land of her birth and following Abraham, her husband to this new land. It must have been difficult and the life of a wanderer, living in tents, must have been hard. but, she accepted her husband's actions and was obedient to her. She apparently believed in the Lord God of Abraham, but did doubt that he could cause her to produce a child in her old age! Because of this, she tried to "help" God by insisting Abraham take her servant for the mother of his son. Would that she had let god be God! It never works to try to take God's place and work His work as we would want it to be!!
Kim E.
Sarah is not mentioned when moving day came, but her faith was there, nonetheless. She trusted God to work through her husband. She wasn
PressThrough
Q1. Take some time to review Sarah's life and legacy. What were her strengths? Her weaknesses? Where did she show faith? Where did she lack faith? Take some time to review Sarah's life and legacy. What were her strengths? Her weaknesses? Strengths All's I can say for her marrying her 1/2 brother is, it was to be, for the fulfilling of prophesy. She was loyal, a survivor. Smart and loving. She had both joy & grief. She doubted but hung in there till the end. She was angry and scared. She loved her husband and remained with him through it all. Weaknesses? I wouldn't say she was ever weak. Probably wiery at times, yes, but not weak. Where did she show faith? Where did she lack faith? Sarah and Abraham's whole life show's faith. They had it rough. She lacked faith in her ability to believe contrary to what she knew to be true about her own body. But who knew, this was a first.
sunilbernard
Q1. Take some time to review Sarah's life and legacy. What were her strengths? Her weaknesses? Where did she show faith? Where did she lack faith? Sarah was a practical woman. As such she gave her full support to Abraham wherever he went. She complimented Abraham in all his endeavors. Logistic support at home is essential while in the service of the Lord. Sarah was able to do exactly that. She believed the Lord in due time and had complete faith in Him. Being practically oriented, she lost track of her faith when things didn't materialise as planned. Her weakness was taking control of things and not leaving them in the hands of the Lord. Many of us do the same thing. Take lessons from this study and give God the preeminent place in our lives.
Helenmm
Sarah by and large seemed supportive of her husband Abra(ha)m, calling him her lord. She seemed pretty accepting (of becoming Abraham's sister), having twice gone through the experience of being taken from her home into the service of other princely men, and then being returned to Abraham. She seems fairly placid in most cases. She wanted the best for Abraham and so gave him Hagar - out of concern for him even if it was not well advised. She did lose faith about providing an heir for Abraham, thinking up the idea of a surrogate mother. However the New Testament says that she had her son through faith. As a lot of gentle women do, they change character when it concerns their children. So Sarah, who had long suffered at the hands of Hagar, became very fierce once she had produced her heir, and most protective of his interests. In that she demonstrated great strength. She was not then to be refused, and Hagar and Ishmael were sent away. However, the new testament says that she had her child through faith. linda bass
Sarah's strengths She was a good mother and protective of Isaac She submitted to Abraham and obediently followed where he went. She also showed courage, resilence, steadfastness, and the ability to endure various trials. Sarah's weaknessess Her disbelief when she heard the Angel of the Lord tell Abraham that she would concieve a child in her old age. Lying and denying that she had laughed. Not trusting in God's perfect timing by trying to obtain an heir thru the union of Abraham and her slave Hagar. Where she showed faith She learned to trust in God's promises. Trusted God to get her and Abraham out of various situations. Where she lacked faith Didn't really believe she could give birth at her age, so she used Hagar as a surrogate. peggysue
I think with Hagar she lacked faith, but for a woman living in those times when men could have multiple wives she did her best and loved her children

kas
The bible doesn't list many strengths except that she was obedient to Abraham whom she called Lord or Master. She also traveled with him when the Lord called Abraham thus showing obedience and belief (faith) in Abraham translating to belief (faith) in God. However, the fact that she laughed at God's promise of a son by her and her giving of Hagar showed that she didn't believe (have faith in) God. She usurps God's word by giving Hagar and then gets all riled up about her mistake and seems to blame Abraham when she should have admitted her mistake and apologized to God, Abraham and Hagar. Alicea
Q1. Take some time to review Sarah's life and legacy. What were her strengths? Her weaknesses? Where did she show faith? Where did she lack faith? Sarah is not that easy to figure out if you go by just what she said, she didn't really say all that much that would help you to understand her faith. She did respect her husband and trust in his leadership both in the natural and in the spiritual. She was a little unsure of how God would do things and tried to bring them about by natural ways such as obtaining a child by giving Abraham Hagar. Sue
Lesson 11 Q 1 (a) Sarah's strengths are: She was intensely loyal to her own child; She became the mother of a nation and an ancestor of Jesus and in Hebrew's 11, she was the first woman listed in the Hall of faith. She was submissive to her husband. ( Sarah's weaknesses were: She had trouble believing God's promises to her; She attempted to work problems out on her own, without consulting God and she tried to cover her faults by blaming others. © She showed faith by following her husband and protecting him from different rulers. Also Sarah was barren, "....she received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child whn she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised". (Hebrews 11:11) (d) She lacked faith by giving Hagar to Abraham instead of waiting on God.
warrior
Take some time to review Sarah's life and legacy. What were her strengths? Her weaknesses? Where did she show faith? Where did she lack faith? One of her strengths was in her submission for the most part to her husband, even her faith in God appeared to be more due to her husbands faith than one of personal experience. Her love and devotion to Abrahams in wanting to give him a child and to have one herself led to error but it was a strength that her desire to carry on her husbands legacy. She was weak in faith and doubted God when he promised a child, she sometimes took things in her own hand instead of waiting on God like with her maid Hagar. sjb
As I have said in the past, I just have trouble with Sarah. To me, she is one of those women who uses her femininity to manipulate and control her spouse. But she was chosen by God despite her shortcomings. Isn't everyone?? Sarah showed little faith and a lot of human frailty in her dealings with Hagar and Ishmael. She was spiteful and jealous. Did you ever think about how she would have dealt with her daughter-in-law Rebekah, had she lived? I think she would have probably made Rebekah's life about as miserable as she had Hagar's in the past. According to 1 Peter 3:6, Sarah's virtue lay in her submission to Abraham. After all, she had followed him throughout all his wanderings and had submitted to the half-truth of her being his sister in dealing with the pharaoh and Abimilech. (I won't accept Hebrews 11:11 as showing Sarah's faithfulness. The way I read that scripture is that Abraham is the faithful one--in spite of his age and Sarah's being barren.) I am sure that Sarah made a good mother to Isaac. And that, after all, was her God-chosen role she played in the history of the Hebrew people.
