It is for our own selfish motifs that we choice to judge others.

It could be because some people look at others as objects and not images of God.

It becomes evil when you are using judgement to place someone in the certain position on a church committee because of the wealth they may have, or when you ignore a homeless person who has come to you for help.

Favoritism is choosing to have a better regard for one person over another thereby judging the favored person to be more suitable to your likes, casting the least favored to the side. As such you are predjuduced against the "least" which is evil in your thinking of that person.

1) When we show favoritism, we begin to judge. Being judgemental is a sin.

2) Favoritisim is evil and someone is left out that should not be. All should be treated the same,

the rich or poor. God is no respector of persons. We are all one in Christ.

Showing favoritism towards a certain class or kind of people blinds us to the needs, gifts, talents, etc. of others. It limits our ministry and flys in the face of Jesus' earthy ministry. Favoritism limits the scope of possibility of personal and church ministries and the blessings that go with it.

Favoritism is evil because it is self-centered (what's in it for me), and not in accordance with God's Word and the ministry Jesus modeled.

Q2. (2:4) In what way does favoritism make one a judge?

When we do an act of favoritism we usually do that thinking a person is worthy to be shown such an act and that process of thought is a judgement that we make towards that person as well as the other person who falls on the other side of our favoritism.. in fact we are judging two people comparing their worth to recieve something which may be a word of praise or doing something for the person or any such sort of thing..

Q2. (2:4)

In what way does favouritism make one a judge?

How does favouritism make one a judge with "evil thoughts"?

Instead of accepting persons on the basis of faith in Christ, we are showing favouritism based on appearance and status. We don

showing favor to certain type of people by their outlook only, made us a judge. by own judgement we accept those we usually like, such as the rich or the elites. our judgements are usually selfish. this is very evil because we prejudge not according the heart but by appearances before God.

A neighbour is a a neighbour - when God says love your neighbour He does not say love your neighboour with the blue eyes. Turn it around HItler favoured the non jew. This judgement was based on favouritism. Like so many things it is often the step from 'having a favourite' that leads into the sin. The feeling develops into an action - like giving a child the bigger the better item than their brother or sister - this leads them into sin and to have evil thoughts. :..we cause a brother to stumble. rolleyes:

Q2. (2:4) In what way does favoritism make one a judge? How does favoritism make one a judge with "evil thoughts"?

Answer:

It all started in our culture..since we are a child,we are ask to choose our favorite toys, our favorite foods, favorite friends, who are our favorite our mother or Father.

And ever since we began to choose, things over the other depending on our own standard, likes, and dislikes.

We put a standard in everything,on everyone that if it doesnt conforms to our own standard of morality,or religion then they are outcast or not good.

We always thought about ourself as the better person, irregardless of our flaws..and because of this we tend to JUDGE,which I think boils to one issue
