Marloes
Q4. Why should we continually ask forgiveness? How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? Because we continually sin. If we don't forgive, that's a sin because hate is an emotion that leads to bitterness and doing bad things. If we hang on to that bitterness, we can't love like He asks us to (John 13:34-35). Hate can make you so angry and sad, you're eyes are blind for His blessings! Why should He forgive us if we don't want to forgive others? That would be pride - thinking we deserve it but others don't.
patience123
Because we are from Adam and human we continue to go against our Father's wishes-even though we try to do right.Even Paul in Romans ch 7v19 says "What I do is not the good I want to do, no the evil I do not want to do- this I keep on doing" Being unable to forgive goes against the wishes of our Father we block His blessing by filling our hearts with bitterness resentment etc We are told in the Bible Mathew ch6 v15 "If you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins" My word thats a tough one!! Some of the evil done in the world in my life time....I find almost impossible to forgive, truly need God's help for that one!!
Chaz
Q4. Why should we continually ask forgiveness? How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? Since Adam and Eve fell ,we as humans have been bestowed the curse of sin. There is nothing that we can do accept to turn to God for forgiveness. Only He can wash it away. The reason Jesus was crucified, thats why His blood was spilled, was for sin. When we pray for forgiveness we are pleading for Him to come back to us. We will always have the curse of sin, it is the punishment of Adam and Eve. However, we can not really change our nature, but with God's help and love we can learn to cope with it. God is Sacred, and because of that He cannot be near sin. When we sin, God moves away from us. Sin is in our nature, and although we are made in a likeness to God, His nature is not to sin. He created us for a purpose: to be His family. When Adam and Eve disobeyed, they took His family away from Him, things were never the same because of their decision to sin. The consequences were more devastating to God, then Adam and Eve. When we hold in our feelings of hurt or despair, it can be devastating to God as well. We don't include Him in the healing process. Because we do not invite Him to share and feel what we are going through, He will not force His self on us. In return He simply states that, what we forgive and let go will be recognized and remembered. It can block our blessings by us not focusing on our opportunities to better the Kingdom or to change ourselves.
wifee
Q4. Why should we continually ask forgiveness? How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? We need to continually ask for forgiveness, beacause we continually sin, don't show love to other, think of others first etc If we don't forgive others we will not ourselves be forgiven. if we hang onto bitterness, this is hatred in our hearts, and gets in the way of our relationship with our father. Pride is the block - Unforgiveness is a bondage to sin, we can't love as he asks. If we only forgive a little, we will only be forgiven alittle. bbedwards
Q4. Why should we continually ask forgiveness? How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? We should always seek forgiveness from Our Father for "man" will continue to sin fall short of the glory of God. God tells us if we do not forgive someone than on a equal measure God cannot forgive us for our sins. Since He can not forgive us than we cannot receive God's blessing. We have to remove the plank from our eyes.
Leah Minayo
We are born of sins to the fact that our first parents sinned, God observes every detail of our lives and we can not be righteous before him, God has instructed us clearly in his word and prayer that we should forgive others so that we may be forgiven, when we do not forgive God will not allow us to receive our blessing through our unforgiving hearts. God hates sin and if don't forgive we sin even more and God's blessing will not come for us.
hanks
Q4. Why should we continually ask forgiveness? How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? When we sin, we incur debt and we become guilty and accountable before God. Therefore we are to continually ask for forgiveness if fellowship with our Heavenly Father is to be maintained. If we are unwilling to forgive others who have wronged us, how can we ever expect God to forgive us our wrongdoings. An unforgiving spirit reveals one who does not understand the forgiveness made available in Christ. We who are believers will be forgiving, just as God is forgiving. We read In Matthew 18, Jesus gives an extended parable to drive home the importance of forgiveness. Peter asked Jesus how often he should forgive his brother when his brother sins against him. Peter thought seven times was a pretty good amount to forgive. Jesus told him to forgive seventy times seven. In other words, do not even keep track of the times you forgive. By our forgiveness we acknowledge our trust in Jesus and our dependency upon God. We will want to demonstrate this forgiveness in our attitudes toward others. PATCH
Q4. Why should we continually ask forgiveness? How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? We should continually ask for forgiveness because we sin all the time. When we ask God for forgiveness, He is faithful and he will forgive us and cleanse us from all our sins. He will also grant us the grace not to repeat our sins. Unforgiveness on our part can block God's blessings because we are essentially disobeying God. He tells us to forgive and so we should. He will handle our hurts, our pains and those who have hurt us - there is no need for us to do anything. Unforgiveness can block God's forgiveness because He has made it clear that to be considered a child of God, we must forgive. When we forgive, He will also forgive us. Through this, we learn not to be self righteous. Just like those who have wronged us, we also have our faults.

LadyP
I feel that we should ask for forgiveness daily because we fall short daily of his grace. Being in this world, we will think, speak or act in a way that is nto pleasing to God becasue we are human. )of the flesh. This is one reason why we should always ask for forgiveness from our Father. He is so kind and humble that he told us that if we repent our sins and ask forgiveness, he will forgive us and throw it in the lake of fire. Jesus teaches us that we must forgive and love and this is part of our daily living. This is my feelings on this question.
Kerneydr
Q4. Why should we continually ask forgiveness? How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? We should ask forgiveness in our relationships because we continually have differences, offend each other, rub each other wrong and fail to love each other. It is first of all for our own good to forgive those who hurt or offend us. If we do not forgive, it builds a wall in our hearts that prevents God's blessing from flowing into it. That unforgiveness acts as a dam that hinders and prevents God's love and grace to flow freely through us and splash out into the lives of others. seer
Q4 Why should we continually ask forgiveness? Because we are continually living in a human environment where we get hurt by a silly comment, or a silly action by someone near to us, and we retaliate in a human nature, which is sinful. How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? Unforgiveness of others can block God's blessing to us because our heart is not free from hurt and God wants us to forgive. noksidam
Q4. Why should we continually ask forgiveness? How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? Daily we fall short of the glory of God. If we continually ask for forgiveness we are reminded how imperfect we are but that God forgives us and does not punish us as we deserve. Being conscious of God's grace for us should lead us to forgive others, as much imperfect as we are. When our minds and hearts are filled with resentments there is no room for the love of God. When we condemn others we put ourselves in the place of God. We need to forgive as God has forgiven us. Of course it is difficult for victims of serious abuse to forgive; and forgive does not necessary mean forget; nevertheless it is the only way to let God's love heal us. How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? we must continually ask for forgiveness because we're not perfect and if we are always offending with our words or actions in this multicultural world what we don't know can hurt us and others therefore forgiveness is assencial. Forgiveness is very important for the welbeing of others and ourselves because not forgiving can hinder us from the blessing of healing and from growing spiritually also from moving on with life. I heard someone say and I quote " Faith moves God and forgiveness releases God's power".
Ian Flores
Why should we continually ask forgiveness? We continually seek forgiveness because we acknowledge that we continually fall short in our Christian walk here on Earth. We continually seek forgiveness also because we know that our Heavenly Father is just to forgive us our sins and this reminds us of God's love for us. God sends his son Jesus to shed Blood for the forgiveness of the sin. Jesus first coming to earth is about forgiveness of sin. How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? Forgiveness is all about the removal or set aside of Sin. God has made its stand against Sin. Sin cannot mix with God's holiness. Without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin. It cause God's beloved son to shed blood for the forgiveness of sin. So, unless SIN is retain and unforgiven, God's promise of blessing cannot come upon us. John 20:23 "If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained. If someone sin against you and he/she repented to God, God is just to forgive his sin. And if he/she seek your forgiveness and if we don't forgive, the sin is now retained on us and unforgiven sin block God's blessing on us. SoiKosum
Q4. Why should we continually ask forgiveness? How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? We should continually ask God for forgiveness because Man's inherent nature is sinful. Jesus teaches us to ask God to forgive us "as" we forgive others. If we forgive others only a little and hold grudges, we are asking God to forgive us only a little and bear a grudge against us. Unforgiveness is a sin that separates us from God and will block God's blessing from flowing to us. To be free you must let go of unforgiveness. We must let go of our bondage to sin and hate if we want to receive something better. Jesus had just told his disciples not to seek retribution. "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven" (5:44-45). Now he makes it clear that we must forgive, if we are to be considered sons of the Father. Otherwise God will not forgive us.
Greg1203
1John 1:9 (If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.) is a perfect example of why we have to continually ask for forgiveness and repent of our sins. When when ask God to forgive us of our sins, then the Lord can forgive us and cleanse us of ALL unrighteousness. And it also goes to when we forgive those around us. How can we as Christians not forgive the people in our lives when we serve the God of love who forgives us of our sins through Jesus Christ? Matt 6:14-15 tells us "14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. frieda
Q4 Why should we continually ask forgiveness? Because God instructs us to do so because we are HUMAN. All have sin and all have fallen short of the glory of God. Giving our sin over to God allows our spiritual side to grow and grow and grow. God knows and understands our stages of growth and spiritual development. When we obey God we flourish in the light of His love. How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessings. Unforgiveness keeps one in the dark, stumbling around in their sin. Blessings are given when one opens the bible and follows God's instructions. Let it go, give it to God and see the light. I am reminded of Mark 11:24. When we ask in prayer believe and if we are holding anything against any one give it to God. God's word works everytime. How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness. If we do not forgive then we will have to bear the burden of our daily sins and this my friend can get very heavy. Jesus paid the price for our sin and when we give it to Him daily we can breathe better and walk in the light of His love which is amazing. Forgiveness is for the person willing to forgive not the one who holds on to it. When we take God at His word, trust and obey.....life on earth is a little bit of heaven. I know I can't even imagine what God has in store for His children. I'm smiling.....theirs joy in my heart and dance in my feet. Have a blessed day. lostbutchosen
Q4. Why should we continually ask forgiveness? How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? We should continually ask for forgiveness because we need it. We sin always even if we don't mean to sometimes we do it without even knowing. So its important to ask the Lord to always wash away the sin. When we have unforgiveness in our heart we are usually not as happy as we can be. It is tuff to be happy with a bitter heart and that bitterness would block the happiness and blessing that are Father would like to bestow upon us. Simple GOD is willing to forgive us as much as we forgive others.
mycin
Q4. Why should we continually ask forgiveness? How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? We should continually ask forgiveness because when we forgive God turns around and blesses us. However, when we choose not to forgive, we choose bitterness and selfishness which are sins and God cannot bless those who persist in sin. I know that I need to learn to forgive myself as well so that I can walk in the power of God's riches for me. In addition my forgiveness blocks God's forgiveness because forgiveness is only given to us when we forgive others first. There are no alternatives. Either you forgive and enjoy God's forgiveness or you refuse to forgiven and continue to live in bondage to sin. We must choose life. It is the only option with a worthwhile reward. Onerivertrail
We sin daily so we should come to God daily and first forgive others before we seek forgiveness for ourselves. The Lord said we must forgive others or we will not be forgiven. Sin separates us from God and separates us from our blessings. Confession also puts us in a right attitude toward ourselves, others and God.
