Moses pleads with God for mercy,he he did not come to make excuses,but to make atonement.Moses reminded God of his Covenant with Abraham,Isaac and Jacob.(EXODUS 32:11-14) Moses could not intirely turn away the wrath of God,which shows us,that the law of moses was not able to reconcile men to God,and to perfect our peace with him.From this history,we see,that no unhumbled, related needs,can no long endure the holy precepts,the humbling truths and spiritual worship of God.

In answer to the prayers of Moses God showed his purpose of sparing the people.Glorifying God;s name as it ought to be our first petition and it is so in the Lord's prayer,it ought to be our great plea.And God's promises are to be ourpleas in prayer,for what he has promised he is able to perform.

The prayer of Moses helps us to pray for others no matter what wrong things they do. We should not judge them, we should not focus on the sins but seek the face of God and cry to him that he should have mercy. The children of Isrea sinned by worshiping an Idol, in as much as God was angry with them, Moses still pleaded with God, interceded for the children of Isreal so that God could have mercy on them.

The prayer of Moses teaches us to ask for forgiveness on behalf of others, thats what we learn from this passage. In this passage we are told that God saw how stiffnecked these people were but Moses did not give up asking for mercy.

We are required to pray boldly with the promises of God because it's his will. His word is true and does not return to him void. When we pray according to the way we want things to be, we end up missing that which God has for us. He sees what is ahead of us.

I thank God and Pastor Ralph for this. Now I know how to convince people during a proposal. How to pray for the approval of a request or so. We should ground our proposals/requests/prayers on who we think we are in the proposal recipient's sight; on how we know this person; on his/her known promises; and on his/her character. In short, we just remind the proposal/request/prayer recipient about all these. Let them be conscience-stricken, and they will surely relent.

I believe that we should always be willing to give God our best. The best we can give Him in prayer is to remind Him of His promises. He has not forgotten them--to remind Him of them is for our benefit. He knows His Word, and what it accomplishes--we are the one that needs to be put in remembrance.

I have learned through the years, that if I take the Word of God and pray that to Him, He has no choice but to move. He is not moved by our emotions, etc. , but reminding HIm of His Word will get things done!

We should emulate all of it. From reminding God that we are HIS people to bringing up HIS reputation among the unsaved, recalling HIS promises and HIS character and appealing to HIS mercy which endureth forever.

Logically he tells God they are YOUR people and if you destroy them the egyptians will say the God is evil and had evil intent all along.

To pray the promises of God is to know what the Word of God says about a situation, remind God of the promises, and remind satan as well because he sometimes forgets who he is messing with, remind yourself and therefore build up your own faith about the situation and believing that God will keep HIS word.

You can't pray God promises unless you know what the Bible teaches about the situation.

Moses offered this bold appeal on the logic that Moses didn't want others to say God had led them into the wilderness to die, when Moses knew God was leading them to a land of milk and honey.

Moses' intercession for the Israelites was based on God's promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Moses knew that God honors His promises, it is in His character. Moses was concerned about God's testimony, dignity, character, and witness to the Egpytians being damaged if He destroyed the Israelites.

I think all of them, we as christians are also God's chosen people, God has a reputation to us through His word as we read and seek to understand His will for our lives. We also have His promises the one's Jesus gave us ask and keep own asking, seek and we will find. We because of our faith and our study know of God's character of judging those who live live in the world and that do not seek to follow Him and His Mercy and Grace we all hope for and seek to believe in because we have all sinned a fallen short of His glory.

The logical grounds are what kind of God has the power to lead a people from the tyrant Egyptians and is not powerful enough to get them to the promise that He had made to them and their Fathers.

Praying the promises is just reminding God of His spoken word to the prophets and reminding His that we are His people and that we study and seek His word and His blessing on our lives. Knowing the Bible allows us to be able to notonly teach other the blessing and favor of God but to pray God's promises back to Him. If we always pray the word of God back to Him then we have to be in His will because it is His words that we are praying. Doing God's will is to be loving people who show their love for God by loving other as He loves us and having the same kind of mercy for our enemies as God through Christ has mercy on us.

The logical ground of Moses' prayer was their ememies would say that God brought them out of Egypt but could not bring them through the wilderness to the promise land. The Egyptians would say it was with an evil intent to destroy them that God brought them out of Egypt. God promised to make a great nation of the Israelites, Abraham's descendants. Destroying them would mean God changed his mind although it could be done through Moses since he was also a descendant.

Praying God's promises means to ask for things according to God's will and what he has promised in His word.

Knowing the Bible helps us pray according to what God has promised. Praying according to God's promises also would be praying in His will. Knowing the Bible helps us relate to the prayers of others and the promises God has given us.

Moses had a real love of the people he was leading and he also understood God's compassion. Moses knew that God had chosen these people and may give them a second chance. Moses reminded God of His promises and we, too, can claim God's promises. When we know the Bible we know what God has promised. We should not ask for things that would not please God and by studying the Bible we know what pleases Him.
