Q1 Although Hezekiah came boldly to God, he did not take him for granted or approach him flipantly. Instead, he acknowledgeGod's sovereignty and Judah's total dependence upon him. Hezekiah's prayer provides a good model for us. We should not be afraid to approach God with our prayers, but we muxt come to him with respect for who he is and what he can do. When we apply this to our own lives, we must come boldy to the God with our prayers expecting him to answer them, accordingly to His will. The battle is not ours but God's. When we don't apply this to our own lives we are disobeying God and his will for our lives.

Hezekiah was pointing out that the enemy was in essence attacking God. The underlying princple is the battle is the Lords. In our lives we need to allow God the control over the battle, the stresses, let Him bring the answer and then obey His directions. When we don't obey this principle we are trying to play God and take control.

By spreading out the message before the LORD, Hezekiah is turning it over to the LORD. The illustration is to give everyting to the Lord because he controls everything anyway. We need to remember to turn all our problems over to God. When we try to take care of things on our own we fail.

The significance is that it is an insult to God himself and it needs God's response. After preparing all we can we need to take are problems to the Lord; because the battle is His. Almost in the same way. I have read a many things that defile and disgrace the Lord name. I should just print it out and present it to the Lord. If we don't apply this prinicple we can easily go weary as mere humans, and hope be able to do the Lord's will.

God's overall plan is to bring his children (souls) home. Hezekiah was one of many of God's (Elect).God's elect know that God is a just Father. Hezekiah was a type, showing us how to handle a problem, if we are ever in that type of situation. Are YOU one of God's ELECT? Do you know his plan? Jesus told us in Mark 13:

Mark 13: (1) And as he went out of the temple, one of his disicples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! (Jerusalem)

(6) For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. (We have a lot people comming to us saying I'm a christian, all you have to do is believe in Jesus, love each other, and we get to fly away! Those are lies!)

(7) And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things mus needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

( Have you read the news lately? Everbody's crying peace, peace, peace, and we still see wars, and hear rumours of wars. While this is going on we have a few other things that must happen before the comming of the Real Christ.)

(8) For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and trouble: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

( Dominions against dominions, (small nations), Famine, is for hearing the word of God, sorrow, is labor pains, the birth of a new nation is at the door, God's Kingdom)

(9) But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

(When Satan comes and sit in Jerusalem for the five months he is alloted by God, there is going to be alot of people following him and his fallen angels. Those who beleive he is the real Jesus, are going to be bring him people, who will NOT bow to him, because they know he is a fake. GOD'S ELECT are the people who know he is a fake.!!

(10) And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

(God's Elect are going to do what Joel the prophet, said was done on the day of Pentecost, Read, Joel Chapter 2 )

(11) But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.

Those who believe in the (RAPTURE) are going to be the ones who will be deceived. God's Elect are going to do what the apostles did on Pentecost day. Acts 2:1, And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

(There were people from all the world in Jerusalem). Pentecost means 50. It was 50 days after the ressurrection, of Christ.

(2) And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

(3) And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

(4) And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and gegan to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

(5) And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

(6) Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

(7) And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaens?

(8) And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we wwere born?

(9) Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,

(10) Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Lybia about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselyte,

(11) Cretes and Arabians, we do heare them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

(In other words, all people from around the world,China, Russia, India, United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Canada, etc; every nation in this world today, will hear God's Elect speak in all languages of the world, when the Holy Spirit, speaks through them!!. And every nation in this world are going to understand it in their own language. Jesus told us not to premeditate what we are to say, because the Holy Spirit is going to be doing the speaking through us. I'm looking forward to the "LORDS' DAY", are you? One day with the LORD is as a thousand years.

God is allowing Satan to come first, in order to seperate the wheat from the chaff. We have work to do!!! We are not going to be Flying out of here. Jesus told us to learn the parable of the Fig tree, find out what the church of Philadelphia, and the church of Smyna, was teaching, find out the key of David, find out who the Kenites are (Caines offspring), know that the anti-christ must come first, know how long he (satan) is going to be here. What really happened in the Garden of Eden? God's Elect need to know God's word, NOT man's word in order to stand against the firey darts of satan. He is the Son of Perdition!! He is on the first white horse, he is going to be here for Five (5) months, Revelation Chapter 9:5. Do you know what the four hidden dynasties are? Religion, Politics, Education, Finance. Do You know who control them? The Kenites, the offsprings of Cain. They are the synagouge of Satan!!.

Although Hezikiah was just a (type) of one of God's Elect, who did good, he was like the rest of us, he fell short. He knew that CHRIST was comming through the seed line of the Tribe of Judah, the KING line. Hezekiah knew that Jesus Christ would be the LAST KING!!!

By spreading out the letter from the enemy before the Lord, Hezekiah is showing reverence towards the Lord, he is recognizing that the insult is being directed toward the " living God ", and he wants to know what God intends to do about it.

Hezekiah was showing the people that he trusted God to fight the battle. To show them that it was God's battle.

That we are not God and can not fight His battles.

Give the struggles to God to fight for us.

Hezekiah was showing his total dependance on the Lord in every area the large and small. The underlying principle here is that we are totally dependant on God for everything. If we go to Him in prayer and confess our total dependance on Him He has shown that He will answer. When we don't apply this to our lives we get worn out , discouraged and make mistakes because we don't understand the battle.

Hezekiah knew that he had done all that he could to prepare for battle and now was the time to bring the problem to the Lord. He handed it over to God because he knew that God was bigger than any king of Assyria. This also showed God's people that Hezekiah had every belief that they would be delivered.

I think that the underlying principle is to show us that we can take God at His word and that He will deliver us. Not to be afraid, be prepared for what is to come, but be not afraid.

Well, we need to be prepared and ready to do battle with whatever is thrown our way but at the same time we have to be able to give that battle to the Lord and let Him fight it for us. This doesn't mean that we won't have to go into battle but I think that it is good to know that we have the Almighty God on your side.

We get discouraged and give up because we are trying to do it on our own.

Spreading out this insulting (attack on GOD) message was letting GOD actually see what was written about HIM. It was a letting go of the responsibilty to reply and leaving it in GOD's hands. When I receive a bill in the mail with an enormous balance and high minimum payment rather tha become overwrought I quickly look at the address again only to find that it's not for me but a neighbor. So the response is not up to me. Hezekiah, knew exactly what he was doing.

Casting all your care upon Him, because He cares for you. Don't fight giants, rather contact giant killers. The battle belongs to GOD, victory is ours, but the battle is His.

We can apply this by learning from Hezekiah not to open someone else's mail. As was stated it was all about GOD, Hezekiah notified GOD that someone delivered His mail to his address, and here's what it says.

Frustration, defeat, depression etc. it all happens when we take on more than we're able or suppose to. Turn it over to GOD, and watch Him fix it.

Hezekiah knows that his enemy is God's enemy and so before reacting to the letter He takes it to the Lord.He knows the battle is the Lords.Hezekiah appeasls to God to intervene and win the battle.

I do believe that if God is for us who can be against us,God has promised nevert o leave us or forsake us ,and therefore before reacting to anything we need to go to God. He has promised to uphold us with His Righteous Right Hand..The battle is the Lords.

We need to take all our battles to the Lord and let Him fight them for us.Trust in Him and lean not on our own understanding in all our ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct our paths.

We will land up fighting God's battles and the result----Disaster.

1. Hezekia is submitting to God's leadership and giving God's battle to Him. God will see in the message what we can't. God doesn't need us to protect his honor, He does that himself much better, we need to show faith and allow ourselves to be used by God to do His work.

2. Our wisdom is foolishness in God's eyes. It is God that was insulted not our honor. The honor, glory, power etc belongs to God. God will take care of things in the best way, his Holy way, not our foolish reactionary way.

Submission and dependance on God.

3. In prayer before we start the day. By studying God's word. By doing these we are getting the guidance to handle issues God's way. But we must submit and follow His direction. God has given us direction in this passage; lay it all before Him and He will handle the battle.

Hezekiah knew the problems he faced were greater than he was--that only God could handle this difficulty. I like was Grace said in her post, that when we don't give ourselves over to the Lord to handle difficulties, we invite stress and ungodly counsel.

Wouldn't it be great if we, as a nation, went to the Lord with all our problems? Using Hezekiah's example, let's lay all the burdens of this nation on His altar instead of bickering among ourselves. I know, in a perfect world that would happen. But I will do this, using Hezekiah's example, for our nation.

If we bring our trials to God, He will work out the details to make them manageable to us. Sometimes we dont think or feel like they are manageable, but He never gives us more than we can handle. I've learned that He doesnt care about our comfort, He cares about our growth and maturity in Him. But He is faithful! And He has brought me a long long way thru trials!!

When we dont apply this principle, we take on the stress of the whole problem which can negatively affect your health, career, relationships, etc...

Hezekiah went straight to the Lord because the letter mocked God and God was the only One who could address the situation. We need to go to God first with our problems and challenges. When we don't do this, we are relying on ourselves, our strength and our resources which are sorely limited. We are often prone to failure when we don't allow God to get involved and seek His wisdom and help.

Hezekiah acknowledges that it is Yahweh who has been attacked by the enemy and that it is Yahweh who must deal with the attack. By spreading the document before God Hezekiah is giving the situation to Adonai to handle.

The principle is that we must realize that it is the Lord who should care for our situations and not we ourselves as we are His, bought with a price.

In everything that we do, and in every situation that we encounter, it is imperative that we go through Jesus, by the Holy Spirit to the Father for guidance, direction, protection and victory if we are to expect a successful outcome. If we should be negligent in this duty we will be doomed to fail.
