care2hope2
Q1. (Exodus 24:3-11) How was the covenant with Israel ratified? What promise did the people make twice in this passage? What was sacrificed? What was sprinkled? What was eaten? The covenant with Israel was ratified with a sacrifice ...meal. The promise that the people made twice was To give love and allegience to God only. They broke this promise while Moses was on the mountain the first time they were worshiping a golden calf. Then God forgave them and he gave the tablets to them thru moses again. They sacrificed bulls and then the blood was sprinkled on the altar, and on the people. Then the Elders went up with moses and saw god and ate of the sacrifice in a meal and ratified the covenant they saw God and lived. Part of the meat of the bulls was eaten in the fellowship meal with God . Moses and the Elders ate.

Debra
The covenant with Israel was ratified by Moses building an altar at the foot of the mountain and setting up twelve stone pillars. These pillars represented the twelve tribes of Israel. Then Moses sent young Israelite men and they offered burnt offerings and sacrificed young bulls as fellowship offerings to the Lord. Half of the blood Moses put in bowls and the other half he sprinkled on the altar. He then took up the Book of the Covenant and read it to the people, and they all responded; ''We will do everything the Lord has said and we will obey.'' After, Moses the took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, ''This is the BLOOD OF THE COVENANT that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words'' Twice the people promised to do ''Everything the Lord has said and obey''. Young bulls were sacrificed. The bulls blood was sprinkled. The bulls were then eaten as this was the sacrificial meal offered in fellowship in God's presence. God's grace
Q1. (Exodus 24:3-11) How was the covenant with Israel ratified? What promise did the people make twice in this passage? What was sacrificed? What was sprinkled? What was eaten? [/quote The covenant with Israel was ratified by the blood of an animal (young bull). The promise that they make (vv 3,7)was; "We will do everything the Lord said, we will obey" A young bull was killed as sacrifice and its blood was sprinkled in the altar and to the people. After God showed himself to the leaders and elders of Israel, they ate and drunk. It was not specific what was the type of meal they ate but I understand it is a covenant meal. WALT39
Q1. (Exodus 24:3-11) How was the covenant with Israel ratified? What promise did the people make twice in this passage? What was sacrificed? What was sprinkled? What was eaten? Exodus 24:3-11 - When Moses went and told the people all the LORD's words and laws, they responded with one voice, "Everything the LORD has said we will do." Moses then wrote down everything the LORD had said. He got up early the next morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain and set up twelve stone pillars representing the twelve tribes of Israel. Then he sent young Israelite men, and they offered burnt offerings and sacrificed young bulls as fellowship offerings to the LORD. Moses took half of the blood and put it in bowls, and the other half he sprinkled on the altar. Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it to the people. They responded, "We will do everything the LORD has said; we will obey." Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, "This is the blood of the covenant that the LORD has made with you in accordance with all these words." Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel went up and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of sapphire, clear as the sky itself. But God did not raise his hand against these leaders of the Israelites; they saw God, and they ate and drank. How was the covenant with Israel ratified? Signs, a solemn oath, sacrifice and a meal. What promise did the people make twice in this passage? They will do everything God said and obey. Verse 3 -"Everything the LORD has said we will do." and verse 7- "We will do everything the LORD has said; we will obey." What was sacrificed? Young bulls What was sprinkled? Blood What was eaten? Most likely the bulls

Marloes
Q1. (Exodus 24:3-11) How was the covenant with Israel ratified? What promise did the people make twice in this passage? What was sacrificed? What was sprinkled? What was eaten? By sacrifice, sprinkling of blood and eating. To do as the Lord tells them to. These verses mention a burnt sacrifice and a peace offering. A burnt sacrifice was herd/sheep/goat/poultry - which was burnt completely (Lev. 1). A peace offering was herd/sheep/goat - of which only the fat and kidneys were burned (Lev. 3). The blood was sprinkled around the altar (Lev. 3:2, 8, 13). Now in Exodus a bull was offered. Blood was sprinkled around the altar and on the people. I guess they eat the meat. Moses read the Covenant and sprinkled blood on the altar and the people. He then along with the priests and elders went and saw GOD, and ate and drank.
