b. It is the Creator - God's Plan of salvation in Christ that in the end times all things will be brought together in Christ.

Bonus - We in Christ and Christ in God. With God the Father and when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

The significance of all things brought under one head, that of Christ the head of His church will unify all things and bring them together in Christ. God our Savior will consummate all things in Christ, as was His plan from the beginning of time. In unity both Jews and gentiles will be brought together. 1 Corth. 15:24-28, at the end of time God the Father will put all power and authority under Christ feet. Christ will, Himself subject Himself to God, together with the church. We will all be one with God our Father.

 The significance is the fullfilment of plan and will of God.All the bible points to Jesus..from Old Testament to New Testament.This is the Will of God..salvation through His Son,He has highly exalted Jesus.. Phil 2:9-11- Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

 

It relates that all things must bow down at the Creator,God the Father and Jesus Christ whom he has sent.United,in One LOrd,one Faith,one batism-Ephesians 4:5..

 

1 Cor 8:6-yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live

24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For he “has put everything under his feet.”[a] Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

 

The above verse relates to me the Final days on Jesus second coming wher He will gather us who believe in his name,and finally destroys everything that rejects Him..and Jesus will reign as King over us the New Jerusalem forever and forever more,according to the will of the Father.Amen.

Christ is to be the ultimate ruler on earth in the glorious second coming. God created everything to fulfill a purpose. This includes all animals, plants, insects, birds, fish and humans. We are all the creation of god. There is an inter-twining of all things. there is an all- encompassing togetherness of all that is.

 

1 Corinthians 15:24-28 gives us a clearer understanding of the steps that will need to take place for God to be the all in all in the absolute end. God will be the supreme ruler even over His own son.

The end time, when Christ gathers us up.

God's plan

I'm not sure, Pastor Ralph, the significance of one head. It implies that there are, now, many heads -- does this mean many religions, including irrelegion? He's bringing BOTH heaven and earth under one head which implies that heaven, too, is divided into "kingdoms." So, somehow, everything, political, religious, celestial ... will be brought under submission to Christ. This is prophetic, of course, since it hasn't happened yet. IN fact, the divisions in society seem to be worsening, not improving. 

So, in the future, Christ will consolidate "his holdings."

The extracredit verse also is concerned with the end times, but here, Jesus turns over to "his father" everything until God Himself destroys what He wants to destroy. Including death.

What will Jesus rule over?  Dominions, authority and power in/on both heaven and earth.

I'm not exactly sure what a dominion is, but to the extend that it's bigger than an earthly government, it could be spiritual or have something to do with other created orders such as angels.

The significance that all things will be brought under Jesus is that Jews, Gentiles and everything under the earth and heaven will be under Christ’s sole authority and power.

 How does this relate to the Creator? What does it say about unity? 

When Christ has finished gathering the saints together and has destroyed all dominion, authority and power, He will hand over the kingdom to the Creator.

I think the unity referred to here is that of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. If so, they three remained one.

All believers are scattered around the world, being under one head means we all come together under Jesus, like the church we are meant to be. Jesus is the head of the church, which is the body. 

“He is also the head [the life-source and leader] of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will occupy the first place [He will stand supreme and be preeminent] in everything.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

This relates to the creator in several ways: 

 

“For it pleased the Father for all the fullness [of deity—the sum total of His essence, all His perfection, powers, and attributes] to dwell [permanently] in Him (the Son),” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:19‬ ‭AMP‬‬. 

(Continuation of the verse above, Jesus is the head because it pleased the Father) 

 

“But I want you to understand that Christ is the head (authority over) of every man, and man is the head of woman, and God is the head of Christ.”  ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

(While teaching the corinthians church about proper behaviour in church, and marriage structure Paul wrote that God is the head of Christ, He is under the authority of the Father, he set that example to us on His time on earth). 

 

“In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.” ‭‭John‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

(The complexity of the trinity also comes into play in the beautiful relationship between Father and Son, it is something that goes beyond our understanding). 

 

“For by Him all things were created in heaven and on earth, [things] visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [that is, by His activity] and for Him.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭AMP‬‬

(Again, another trinity related verse describing Jesus’ role in creation, before this verse, verse 15: “He is the exact living image of the unseen God”).

 

“However, when all things are subjected to Him (Christ), then the Son Himself will also be subjected to the One (the Father) who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in all [manifesting His glory without any opposition, the supreme indwelling and controlling factor of life].”

(The extra credit verse also relates to this relationship between Father and Son) 

 

Ultimately, one of the verses that for me ties everything together is: 

“who, although He existed in the form and unchanging essence of God [as One with Him, possessing the fullness of all the divine attributes—the entire nature of deity], did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped or asserted [as if He did not already possess it, or was afraid of losing it]; but emptied Himself [without renouncing or diminishing His deity, but only temporarily giving up the outward expression of divine equality and His rightful dignity] by assuming the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men [He became completely human but was without sin, being fully God and fully man].” ‭Philippians‬ ‭2:6-7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

(Jesus in His human form renounced divine equality) 

In conclusion, I don’t presume to understand the complexity of the trinity and God’s plan for Jesus but I l strive to walk the narrow road to hopefully find out more about Jesus and Our Father.

How does this relate to the Creator? The LORD Jesus Christ IS Creator and Redeemer.

What does it say about unity? All humanity is unified in being redeemed from sin by the Death and Resurrection of The LORD Jesus Christ.

Right now everything is not together. This world is more divided than it ever was. There is divisions, racism, opinions, hatred, fights, murder, etc. It will be wonderful for Christ's body when He returns, we will all be united and all one in Him.  "After that the end will come, when he will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having destroyed every ruler and authority and power. For Christ must reign until he humbles all his enemies beneath his feet. And the last enemy to be destroyed is death. For the Scriptures say, “God has put all things under his authority.”e (Of course, when it says “all things are under his authority,” that does not include God himself, who gave Christ his authority.) Then, when all things are under his authority, the Son will put himself under God’s authority, so that God, who gave his Son authority over all things, will be utterly supreme over everything everywhere. In God’s time, literally everything, things in heaven, things on earth, everything spiritual and everything material, will be brought under Christ's rule. Most people do not know this now, but at the right time everyone will understand this, and on that day, “...at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10-11). Jesus is Creator God..."For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him by His service, intervention, and in and for Him. And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist and are held together” (Col 1:16 -17). He will unite all things which until that time have been in disarray and disunity. Before this we note that much of His creation has been at war with Him and opposed to Him through the fall of man. God has placed all authority and power in Jesus’ hands. As we read in 1 Corinthians 15:24-28, Jesus will eventually bring everything into subjection, and He will then hand the kingdom back, in a perfect condition, to our Heavenly Father.

The significance that all things will be bought under one head is that  in Jesus Himself who was given dominion over all flesh by God will be the sum of the parts in which everything in heaven and on earth will be gathered up onto Him.  He will  in the end times reveal the mystery of God's plan of salvation.   He will once again be united with God, the Creator, in heaven because we are taught that Jesus prayed in John 17 to be received in the glory of God's presence endued with the glory He had before the world began.  All unity of things in heaven and things of this earth is and will be in Jesus Christ. 

Jesus in His faithfulness and willful obedience will surrender all things of heaven and earth that He had gathered to our Father God including the last enemy destroyed which is death.  Then, when all is accomplished in the fulfillment of God's plan of salvation, He will subject Himself unto the Father.  Glory Hallelujah!!!

Here in Ephesians 1:10 we have the first prophecy in Ephesians.   We have a prophecy of the Millenium when  Christ will put all enemies down and all creation united as one, just as before Satan's rebellion and by Adam.  According to 1 Corinthians 15:24-28, there will be the completion of earth's probation.   Christ will reign during this last dispensation or probationary period of ridding earth of all rebellion and restoring God's administration. Revelation 20:4 states that the thrones are those saints will rule with Christ as kings and priests. The everlasting covenant with Abraham, Isaac,  and David will be truly fulfilled.

With Holy spirit, we know more about salvation in Christ.

Christ being the head of all things is significant because Christ is also God, meaning that all things will be under God. Not under money, or social status, or friends, family, drugs, sex, ****, fame, or any of those things. Everything will be under God! All things will be brought together under the Creator (which is God), not under the created!

Here in these verses, we see that all things will be unified, not just all people or even all things on earth, and not just all people in Heaven or everything in Heaven. Rather, all things will be unified under Christ. Things on earth, and things in Heaven! All things will be united altogether under the head of Christ!

1 Corinthians 15:24-28 is similar to Ephesians 1:9-10 in the sense that it also talks about Christ putting all things under His authority ("put all things in subjection under Him") and then He Himself putting Himself subject to God (the Father probably) so that He may be all in all!

THe significance of this is that God gave His only son to the world to redeem us and so what was predestined to happen to will be fulfilled through Christ.

All this was predestined by the creator.

We all predestined to be united in Christ as the head , all the earth , believers and none believers.

In Corinthians it also states that Christ Will take over the whole earth as the leader above and finally will hand over this to the creator who gave Him the authority to conquer the earth.

The significance of everything being brought under one head is that those who believe will be saved and others will be done away with. The Creator created all thing so then he can do away with it. We will be united under on head. I Corinthians is more explicit about the end times.
