Bianca
If we truly do not understand what it means to be lost how can we witness. We have to understand what it really will mean for a person if they don't get saved. They are without hope peremantely once this life is over. They are literally cut off from Jesus. Cut off from The Father. We really need to truly understand how important it is to witness to others before it's to late. This is not just meant for ministers but for all Christians to witness to others.
Janzie
On 7/29/2006 at 6:47 PM, Pastor Ralph said: Q22. (Ephesians 2:11-12) Why does being out of touch with what it means to be "lost" impede our willingness to witness? In your own words, what is the spiritual condition of a friend or co-worker who doesn't know Christ? I think the world is in the condition it is, is because we have not been doing our job in being willing to tell people about The Savior and how much He loves them, and that He died in their place for their sin. We fear people, rejection, we don't want to offend them, even our own family. A friend who doesn't know Christ has no covering for their sins. Separate from God, and without hope. Now days people don't recognize that they sin or even talk about it. They feel they are a good person. They just go on and on doing what they do and everyone thinks they are going to heaven. They don't know God wants a relationship with them and he wants to help them live life. He loves, provides and protects them and so much more. Jonathan Edwards
Some of us never knew what it was to be on the wild side of life. Since we were little children, we always were on the holiness road. Sad but true, we forget our spiritual poverty. Yes ! We cry out to God for mercy, our good deeds are as filthy rags. Perhaps over the years, we tend to forget from whence we came. Some of us were living gross sins in our early days of life. We have to reignite our compassion for lost souls. Those that are not saved are in a sad state of inertia. Life goes on as usual, yet deep within their hearts they are searching for God even though they go down wrong roads and accept cheap substitutes. A prime example is ST AUGUSTINE or ST MARY OF EGYPT. Both were running away from the hound of heaven; they heeded to the voice of God eventually. St Mary of Egypt had to struggle mightily against demonic forces just to get into church in Jerusalem. Old Jerry
We would be unwilling to witness because and are not able to understand what Jesus is doing in our lives. So we can’t witness to something we don’t understand. The spiritual condition of a person who doesn’t know Christ is that they are usually lonely. They have nothing to look forward to after they leave this life.
crissy464
Being out of touch, not knowing where to turn. I’ve never had to experience being lost in a new school, a new city. I’m the type of person who just jumps in.i believe it wold be a very bad situation. As I've gotten older I seem to be lost somewhat, I don't communicate with many people now so when I’m in a group of people I feel lost sometimes
