Blessed Me
Q2. (Ephesians 3:6) Just what is the "mystery" that Paul is talking about? The mystery revealed is, the Gentiles also can be partakers of the Covenant with God, through Christ Jesus. Why was it important to the Gentile Christians in Paul's day? This was not revealed before, can it be true, the unclean Gentiles are to included in the church of believers? The Gentiles were unclean because they worshipped other gods. They were not included in the covenant with God, the true God, the only God. It was unlawful for a Jewish man to keep company with one of another nation, but God showed Peter in a vision, not to call any man unclean. An angel came to Cornelius to let him know his prayers were answered, he was to go to Peter. God already prepared Peter, and Peter preached to the Gentile Cornelius, and his household, whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him; The word which God sent to the children of Israel. Preaching peace through Jesus Christ, He is Lord of all. The Holy Spirit fell on the Gentiles. I see Isaiah 42:6 coming alive, I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand' I will keep you and give you as a covenant to the people as a light to the Gentiles. Jesus is the glory of Israel, through Him God's promises are fulfilled. Through Christ, we Gentiles are part of the covenant, part of the family of God. It was important because they were no longer lost, we are now all equal in God
raymond
Thhe mystery that Paul referred to was the fact of co-heirship between Jews and the Gentiles in the Kingdom of God. As co-heirs and children of God through Christ, the Gentiles enjoy the status of full citizenship. The importance of this idea in Paul's day is the fact that Gentiles were considered second class citizens by the Jews during that time. Lynnely
Q2. (Ephesians 3:6) Just what is the "mystery" that Paul is talking about? Why was it important to the Gentile Christians in Paul's day? Paul's mystery he was speaking of is the fact that Jews and Gentiles both will be accepted into God's kingdom. The Jews were the chosen people, but b/c they denied Christ, God chose to include the Gentiles. Since the Jews were the chosen people, the Christian Gentiles may have felt like the orphan child, second-class, but God has accepted both races equally in His sight! Jewell
The mystery that Paul refers to is the new revelation that all, Jew and Gentile, are God's heirs. Where before the Gentiles were treated as second class, they are now on equal footing with the Jews.
Joshua Ofosu Anim
Q2. (Ephesians 3:6) Just what is the "mystery" that Paul is talking about? Why was it important to the Gentile Christians in Paul's day? The mystery is that we, gentiles who were not part of God's chosen people, the jews, have been made co-heirs with the jews through the gospel. We are children of God just as the jews. The blood of Jesus has brought peace between the gentiles and the Jews. This was very important to the gentile christians in Paul's day because they were no longer playing second-class citizens to the jews. They got to know throught he gospel ALL MEN are equal in the sight of God. God does not esteem one person over another. HE LOVES EVERYONE EQUALLY. This should encourage us to respect every person no matter the race, tribe, etc.
Lucy T
The mystery that Paul was referring to is the fact that God is not just the God of the Jews, but the God of all those who would believe Him. In addition, the Gentiles were now part of the household of faith, they are equal with the chosen people of God. We have all been brought into one body. We are heirs together. The reason why this revelation was so important to the Gentiles, is that it let them know that they were not a people without hope or without God in the world. They were not second class citizens. meandean
Q2. (Ephesians 3:6) Just what is the "mystery" that Paul is talking about? Why was it important to the Gentile Christians in Paul's day? it was god revealing his plan through jesus christ. god previously put israel in the middle of the known world to influence all that would listen, but israel kept god to themselves. so the mystery is uniting both jew and gentile together, making one man. now we don't have to go through rituals or religion or the people of israel to go to god. that's fantastic!come as you are, whenever you want, however you want. Beadie
The mystery was that God had included the gentiles in His plan since it was formed before all time. From the very beginning we were intended to be sons of His, co-heirs with the Jewish people, the chosen people. It meant that we were chosen also. We had every right and opportunity as did the Jews when it came to God
Suellen
The mystery that Paul was talking about is that we, Gentiles are no longer set apart. We can be as one and worship as one. Through Jesus Sacrifice God separated the boundaries that was there before. So it is also important not to be antisemetic even if they don't agree with this teaching, we are to love them and accept them.
bryon
Q2. (Ephesians 3:6) Just what is the "mystery" that Paul is talking about? The mystery (not revealed or understood at the time) is that salvation is open to both Jew and Gentile. Gentile believers are HEIRS, MEMBERS, and SHARERS together with Jewish believers. Why was it important to the Gentile Christians in Paul's day? Because they were clearly not God

Vicki Higgins
The "mystery" that Paul is talking about is that we who are not Jewish have an equal part in God's kingdom with His chosen people. It was important to the Gentile Christians in Paul's day because they were made to feel inferior simply because they were not Jewish. JanMary
Q2. (Ephesians 3:6) Just what is the "mystery" that Paul is talking about? The mystery is that the Gentiles are now to be fellow heirs with the Jews, members of the same body and joint partakers in the same divine promise in Christ through their acceptance of the glad tidings...the Gospel. amp. v.6 Why was it important to the Gentile Christians in Paul's day? They were treated as second class citizens by the Jewish believers who had been steeped in the rituals of Judaism for centuries...and seemed to believe that circumcision, temple worship, etc. made them "better" Christians than the heathens who accepted Christ and were now in the early church. Sasquatch
Q2. (Ephesians 3:6) Just what is the "mystery" that Paul is talking about? Gentiles are equally the people of God with God's chosen people, the Jews. Why was it important to the Gentile Christians in Paul's day? In Lesson 6, Separated from Christ, the list of elements of the Gentiles' spiritual condition prior to Christ are pretty depressing: Uncircumcised Separate from Christ Excluded from citizenship Foreigners to the covenants Without hope Without God Now the Gentiles are equal footing, heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah! The barrier is broken down giving all access to God.

The mystery is that jews are not the only ones who can receive salvation so can the gentiles. Back then if you were not a jew you were considered unclean by worldly standards but by the grace of God all have a chance to be part of Gods family. Why was it important to the Gentile Christians in Paul's day? Just what is the mystery that Paul is talking about? The mystery that Paul is talling about the fact that all differneces between Juew ans Gentiles regarding Redemption was erased. This showed that Gentiles were fellowheirs and they are of the same body meaning in the same church. Why was it important to the Gentile Christians in Paul's day? Because this showed that we were all one partaker of one Body of Christ. In Paul's day the Gentiles were looked down on and were not consider a part but Jesus took care of all of that. Old Jerry
The “mystery” that Paul is talking about is that we are accepted just like the Jews were. We will be joining the in heaven. It was important to Gentile Christians in Paul’s day because the Gentiles didn’t associate with the Jews because they were supposed to be an exclusive group.
