Having the right heart condition will help us share the Good News because of the love we have for our Father and His Son. Its our protection. A person who has not been in the word daily or praying seeking God's face for fresh manna to feed the hungry the gospel would not have his feet ready to run the highways and byways with the word of salvation. Heart preparation takes searching ones self daily and repent of any thing displeasing to God. Our life must be a testamony and witness for Christ at all times Speaking the word is a powerful weapon against the powers of darkness . When we spread the gospel whereever we go it knocks the devil for a loop.tearing down the strong hold of Satan by the word of our testamony He hates to hear the name of Jesus and more so when a sinner is saved. Praise God for the word. and the name of Jesus. The best characteristic I can give of a person who didn't have his feet ready to run with the gospel would be a lazy one. God says that the feet of those who bring good news are "beautiful" It is a wonderful privilege to be able to share God's Good News with others. His news of redemption, salvation, and peace . Such a person will be weak when it come to knowing the Word od God. They would find themselves struggling and ill-equipped when it come to knowing God's Will which He has given to us in His Word. They will also struggle in their witness and will lack the necessary Word to encourage and lift someone who has fallen. How does heart preparation make you more ready to share the Good News with those around you? How does this help defeat the dominion of darkness? The Word of God prepares your heart to share the Good News. The more you study and meditate on the Word the more you become a student of the Word and ready to give an account for your faith. "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: " 1 Peter 3:15 (KJV) Knowing the Word of God will help defeat the dominion of darkness. By having a heart filled with the Word we are more apt to share that Word with others. New revelations come daily and that doesn't please the father of darkness. Time spent in the Word & in prayer prepares us to share. This wouldn't be a high priority to the person not having his feet shod. Heart preparation is very necessary. How can we be lead by God when we don't read what He says to us or speak with Him daily? The darkness is defeated by the Light! We bring light to a dark world if we are living for and obeying Him. If our hearts are in the right place with the Lord then the light of Christ will shine through us. Our hearts and being prepared to share the Gospel only comes through studying and praying and spending time with God. The first characteristic would be that they are not bringing people to the Lord. The other side of this coin is possibly that they are not prepared to go out of their comfort zone. The passion for souls doesn't involve a plan or program for salvations. maybe it means that the person is more concerned with the Gospel as a means of serving their personal interests (eg personal development, problem solution/evasion) than as a command to reach the nations. Perhaps there is a lack of victorious living in this case. Heart preparation means that we have a heart ofter God's heart, as had King David. It means that God is everything to us and we love to see Him pleased and not disappointed. It means our mind is made over in the image of Christ, and serves our heart after God's heart, rather than dominating the scene! It means that whatever needs doing is done, whatever the cost and without second thoughts. It means we are motivated by love, the love of prople rather than love of ourselves. We see things in God's terms, rather than human terms. We know scriptures increasingly every day and are very much alert (alive) and responsive to his messages. Everything runs around Jesus, the King of Kings, not around humanity. This helps defeat the dominion of darkness because we simply don't give any consideration or thought to the powers of darkness because they are only the manipulations of fear and lies. We share God's determination that His purposes will not return to Him void, that they will be achieved in the very situations in which we find ourselves. We are totally aligned with God and His intentions, and give no space to the Devil to operate! We have the wisdom from study of scripture and from the logos and theSpirit of God to do this. "Neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us fromthe love (and purpose) of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. He would be fearful, not knowing that the calling of God is not to be rejected, he would be in fear of telling other people the good news, of Christ and His love for them. He would be unfruitful, turning from the work that Christ has called him to do for the Kingdom of God. A heart that is id full of the love of Christ will want to share that joy that acomes from knowing Him and understanding just what He has done for us on the cross. A heart that is filled with the Spirit og God will run to the higher calling of Christ and not away from it. A prepared heart will be filled with love for his neighbor and want them to be saved through Christ as he know he is. Any time a heart hears the gospel and accepts it that is a thorn in the side of satan and a defeat of his army. PCHRIS Posted March 3, 2007 Report Share Posted March 3, 2007 There are Christians who are truthful, have their heart free of sin, sure of their salvation, rightly use the Word of God but they are 'shoeless' they are not prepared to share the Gospel: stationary soldiers, sharing their faith is painful either through a spirit of fear or a spirit of rejection and that is what holds them back from sharing their faith. Preparation is being in God's Word, meditating on it, devouring it. To do this is strengthening your mind and heart to be able to proclaim the Gospel to others. This would be someone who does not know the truth. Someone who is still thirsty and hungry but has not been feed. Someone who has not studied are who has not seeked for the truth. If you love it and it is in your heart you will want to share it with others. How does this help defeat the dominion of darkness? Because the truth is the light and the light defeats the darkness. Heart preparation is having a love for God, His Word and a loving for a dying world. When you have love for for lost you will want to share the Good News. Heart preparation makes me ready to share the Good News with those around me by understanding of righteousness in which we stand in Christ. The devil just can't handle that. The stronger we become as diciples of Christ, the weaker the devil is - as we are fighting the spirits of darkness, not flesh and blood, the devil is fighting Christ, not flesh and blood, when we stand our ground. How does this help defeat the dominion of darkness? ahh... to run...makes me think about david running toward goliath and not waiting for goliath to come to him. i think one on the characteristics is a wandering mind. it is divided, placed somewhere else or on someone else. david was known to have a heart after gods.now he might not of made all the right choices, but he did want what god wanted. this is a trustworthy saying if we desire what god desires our hearts will be set on the right thing and those around us will be blessed no matter what. so lets give those around us love and hope, a living hope. The barefoot person is one who is unprepared and vulnerable....pretty useless in the battle raging around us. When my heart is prepared, I'm on the lookout for those who are ready to hear the Good News....When the Holy Spirit prompts me to share, I'm ready and excited to share. When my heart isn't prepared, I'm unaware of those around me...I'm focused on me or my problems. How does this help defeat the dominion of darkness? The person who does not have the Gospel as an integral part of their daily conduct will not be ready to run with the Gospel. It is by the Gospel that we stand our ground as well as advance the kingdom of God. We are to be ready at any time to minister the Gospel; we are all included in this command. Every Christian is in full time Christian service, always on the front line. Preparation implies the ability to fight. Preparation means flexibility and the ability to use God's Word in witnessing. Knowledge of the basic doctrines of salvation is necessary for witnessing. This implies a certain amount of preparation and we don't have our shoes on our feet without this preparation. Witnessing is impossible apart from the filling of the Holy Spirit; it is the Holy Spirit that ministers to the unbeliever to apply the doctrine of salvation. Our Gospel is a Gospel of peace, but this peace is not to be had with the enemies of God, such as demons and unbelievers - immediately after the fall of man, God established hostility between the children of God and the children of Satan. (Genesis 3:15). It is impossible to have true peace with anyone belonging to the kingdom of darkness. Rather, this peace is only to be had with God and with Christians. Only when we stand our ground and conquer enemy territory with this Gospel will others be able to join us in this fellowship. The gospel is the good news. This is the Great Commission of all Christians... to spread the gospel. I don't know what the characteristic of such a person would be, but it would be time for study to learn one's purpose and to prepare and perk up! How does heart preparation make you more ready to share the Good News with those around you? How does this help defeat the dominion of darkness? When we talk about heart, I think of attitude. Attitude is so important. Reading The Message Eph.5:14, one of the verses says "Get out of your coffins". Let's climb out and have the heart of a servant.....we must remember who we serve.........we are the righteousness of God in Christ....we are the sons and daughters of God.....the blood of the King of Kings flows through our veins! Scripture indicates we are made for a purpose and were chosen. We should rejoice, rejoice, rejoice and spread the Word of Christ. Our heart, our attitude will defeat the dominion of darkness by putting on the full armor of God or the simple weapons of truth, righteousness, the good news, faith salvation, the Word of God and prayer.......these are more than enough to defeat the attack and remain standing at the end of the day! The characteristic of a person who isn't prepared to run would be a follower and when i say that i mean one who is not sure of his path and of what he is searching. When you prepare your heart you are allowing the holy spirit to lead and guide you and are ready at every oppurtunity to share what Christ has done for you and with the holy spirit trods the darkness underfoot!
