Dar
Q4. What do we know from the Gospels about the properties of Jesus' resurrection body? The doors were shut yet Jesus came and stood in the midst of them, and spoke to them. He showed them His hands and His side with the scars still evident, but it does not speak about the disfigurement of His face, nor of the other physical scars that Jesus did receive. What was he capable of in this new body? Jesus' body was of flesh and bone, it was not a disembodied spirit. He ate with them, and vanished from their sight. Jesus flesh took on immortality and incorruptibility, thanks to the cross.

Marloes
Q4. What do we know from the Gospels about the properties of Jesus' resurrection body? What was he capable of in this new body? Jesus' body was really dead. Jesus' body was a resurrected and real (He could eat, for example). He had to prove the body was real so the people shouldn't think He was just a goast or fata morgana. He could also appear and disappear like a ghoast even though His body was real.

Jubilee
Q4. What do we know from the Gospels about the properties of Jesus' resurrection body? What was he capable of in this new body? This is what we know from the Gospels about the properties of Jesus' resurrection body: - Jesus described it as "flesh and bones" (Luke 24:39c) - He could eat (Luke 24:42-43; Acts 1:4) - His body could be touched and handled by others (Matthew 28:9; Luke 24:39b) - He could walk and talk (Luke 24:15), even cook (John 21:9), just as a normal human body - Yet Jesus' wounds were still visible in his renewed body (Luke 24:39-40; John 20:20, 25-27) - Jesus could be recognized by others -- but only when he wanted to be. The timber of his voice remained the same (Matthew 28:9; Luke 24:16, 31; John 20:14-16,20; 21:4,12) - Jesus could enter locked doors (John 20:19,26) disappear (Luke 24:31) and appear (Luke 24:36) at will. In his renewed/resurrected body, Jesus has the ability/capability to navigate in the physical world, but was not limited to the physical plane. van
Jesus entire body was resurrected, meaning Jesus flesh and bones were resurrected along with His spirit. Jesus was able to be both physical, eat and drink, and go to heaven. That's truly amazing! In his new body he just passed right through the graves and folded them neatly. He was able to be visible and invisible in his resurrected body.

JoanG
Jesus had a physical body with His wounds still being completely visible. He was not an angel or a spirit. He was able to cloak His identity from others until He wanted to reveal Himself to them. He was able to transform His appearance at will. He was able to pass through solid objects with ease. He was able to appear in someone's presence instantly and disappear just as easily.

He was capable of doing everything in his new body as he could in the old one but more.
