peaches
God does not judge us by our works, but by our faith in Him and to do what He says He will do. Sin, at first glance, looks appealing and pleasurable. Just like when Eve saw the fruit "and that it was appealing to the eye," the deception crept in to make her believe she would better if she tried it. The more we give in to sin, the more we began to lie to ourselves that we can get out of it any time we want. Soon we will find ourselves believing something that is the total opposite of that which is godly. We need the fellowship of our brothers and sisters to encourage us, relate to each other and make us accountable for our thoughts and behaviors. Marloes
Q2. (Hebrews 3:12-14) What is the importance of faith in our relationship to Christ? How does sin trick us? How does it harden us? What is the value of Christian fellowship to keep our faith strong? If you don't believe somebody, you don't follow him. If you don't believe Jesus, you don't follow Him. If you do believe Jesus, you follow Him or you're rebellious. If we sin, we're rebellious. It makes more distance between us and God. Now it's easy to get distracted or to drift away. If you skip Bible reading for one day, it becomes easier to skip it for some days... This can cause you not to read regularly, and to no reading at all. Ramon
Answer: Other than FAITH,the writer pointed out another,Virtue that a Christian, must have,a by product of FAITH which is CONFIDENCE.,in Verse 14- For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end) We could not build a confidence in someone or something, without putting our Faith first,or trust.Through Faith in Christ,we now have the Confidence, that in the day of Judgement,we will be in His Kingdom.Thi is the importance of Faith in our relationship with Christ,to put our Trust and reliance in him,no matter how hard or good our circumstances is..Jesus love us,and because of this love,Apostle John says in 1 John 4:-17- By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. This confidence is what the enemy will try to steal from us,by bombarding our circumstances in life with lots of negative things. He(evil) cannot penetrates our Faith,so he will use other people around us,those things which are still under bondage wirh him,to try to destroy, our Confidence on the Word of God,thereby also destroying our Faith, trying to tell us that God doesn
iam4_1god
Q2. (Hebrews 3:12-14) What is the importance of faith in our relationship to Christ? How does sin trick us? How does it harden us? What is the value of Christian fellowship to keep our faith strong? Our faith is all we have. We have never seen Christ-all we have is His word. If we don't renew our faith each day, and if we don't fill our senses with godly things and people, the devil will sneak in unaware, and we will go down! We can not afford for even a second, to allow the devil a place. He doesn't need much place either! We must stay vigilant! He roams about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour-that is us! blezed
Q2. (Hebrews 3:12-14) What is the importance of faith in our relationship to Christ? How does sin trick us? How does it harden us? What is the value of Christian fellowship to keep our faith strong? 1) Faith is important in our relationship to Christ because we will not have a harden heart. Harden heart leads us away from God. 2) Sin can be pleasurable, attractive, seductive, but it is really deceptive. Sin will only cause one's heart to harden and a harden heart will lead to unbelief which will lead to departing from God 3) We need each other's encouragements and exhortations to help keep us strong. It will help to keep our hearts from wandering and not be blinded by the glamor of sin.
jacquie7
The importance of our faith relationship to Christ is that we can remain as a part of God’s household only if we hold on to our faith and courage. Sin is deceitful and can stick to us through an unbelieving heart if not changed through encouragement of other believers. It can make us turn away from God just as the Israelites did in the wilderness. Christian fellowship helps us in our faith walk and it can keep us from becoming hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. Old Jerry
We have to have faith in Christ because we haven’t seen him we can only see what he has done. So sin tricks us into thinking that we can do anything we want and there will be no consequences. The first time that we do that sin we find it is on our mind all the time. But if we continue in that sin pretty soon we start thinking that it is OK. When we talk over with fellow Christian what we have been doing they will see the sin and will advise you what to do to repent from the sin. lighthouse2014
Q2. (Hebrews 3:12-14) What is the importance of faith in our relationship to Christ? How does sin trick us? How does it harden us? What is the value of Christian fellowship to keep our faith strong? The importance of faith in our relationship to Christ is that if we lose our confidence and courage in him we maybe well on our way to bring spiritually dead. Sin tricks us because it offers pleasures and a desires to fill a temporary joy. Once that desire has pasted we find ourselves in anguish and in a state of regretting ever giving in to it. If we continue in our desire and pleasure of sin we find ourselves far distanced from Christ. He becomes just a by-thought and with out repentance, we become dead to Christ. To keep ourselves from falling from the grace of the Lord, we need continual fellowship with other Christians, encouraging one another to continue in our confidence and hold fast to our faith. Our reward will be with the Lord, eternal life with him in the kingdom of God.
Paula Price
our relationship to Christ is based on our faith, our obedience to his word. for without faith it is impossible to please him. sin can trick us into being disobedient. it can harden us by offering things we may think we need and want. Christian fellowship helps us to resist sin and strengthens our faith. a threefold cord is not easily broken. We need to pray for each other and help each other to overcome sin and to keep each other lifted up in the faith, in the word of God. We need to walk and talk daily with him, that is how we build our relationship with him. Jesus constantly talked and prayed with the father. He did not make a move without prayer. He is our example of all things holy and Godly. He is our example of what is pleasing to God. He is the only way to God.
Godswriter
Q2. (Hebrews 3:12-14) What is the importance of faith in our relationship to Christ? How does sin trick us? How does it harden us? What is the value of Christian fellowship to keep our faith strong? The writer reminds us of the consequences of unbelief through the example of the Israelites who chose not to believe the Lord and ended up perishing in the wilderness and did not trust God to give them the Promised Land. Though we as believers won't lose our salvation through unbelief we may lose out on the very best God has for us when we choose to have a lack of trust with the Lord. Eventually our lack of trust and will stall our growth and relationships with Him and will result in frustration and heartache. None of us has ever been called to go it alone in out alone in our walk of faith. None of us can progress in our relationships with the Lord or stay true to Him without the help and encouragement of other believers. We all need other believers to hold us accountable and support us so sin will not find a foot hold in our hearts. (Stanley, C. 2009, 2019 The Charles F. Stanley Life Principles Bible Second Ed.) Utmost. It is how we are saved and how we grow. Makes us think we get all the pleasure and no consequences. The more we sin the less we listen to the Holy Spirit. Accountability helps view God as He is and us as we are in a more accurate light
Godswriter
Q2. (Hebrews 3:12-14) What is the importance of faith in our relationship to Christ? How does sin trick us? How does it harden us? What is the value of Christian fellowship to keep our faith strong? According to the Charles Stanley Life Principles Study Bible 2nd Ed. it says that no Christian has been called to go it alone in his or her walk of faith. None of us can progress in our relationships with the Lord or stay true to Him without the help and encouragement of fellow believers. We need others to support us and keep us accountable so that sin will not find a foothold in our hearts. In fact, we need this kind of healthy interaction every day because we require constant reminders of God's unfailing love. Sin tricks us by causing us to believe that no one cares about us including God. It tricks us into believing that God is lying to us and holding out on us. It causes us to isolates ourselves from others as well. It hardens us to the voice of the Holy Spirit when He convicts of sin. It helps us grow and keeps us accoutable. royk
(Hebrews 3:12-14) What is the importance of faith in our relationship to Christ? How does sin trick us? How does it harden us? What is the value of Christian fellowship to keep our faith strong? We are sinners, called to faith by God, not our own doing. We are saved by grace and faith in Jesus promise (John 3:16) The world declares this all to be false, old words in an outdated book by what man has learned in science and philosophy over time. If we follow the world, that hates God and Jesus especially, then we are doomed eternally. Sin continually tricks me and I need the fellowship of real brothers, and bible studies like this one. Dove81
Q2. (Hebrews 3:12-14) What is the importance of faith in our relationship to Christ? Without faith you have nothing, there’s no way you can believe in God whom we can’t see if we don’t have faith that he is real. That he came to earth in the form of man, Jesus and died on the cross for our sins. How does sin trick us? Sin tricks people into believing it’s impossible that God exists. It tricks us to think that we don’t need God for anything. How does it harden us? It hardens you if you continue in sin and unbelief. The more you sin the farther you get away from God and before you know it your heart has been hardened and you have a reprobate mindset. What is the value of Christian fellowship to keep our faith strong? Being around like minded believers who can help build up your faith if your struggling. Encourage you and pray for you as well as help you to grow in your relationship with God.
