iam4_1god
Q1. (Hebrews 4:14) What is so important about "holding fast to our confession." What is our confession or profession of faith? Why is maintaining this confession so vital? Because of what Jesus did to secure our salvation, and because the powers of the "air" are fighting against our profession of faith, trying to trick us into failing and/or turning our back on Jesus, we need to shout it from the mountain what great things God has done for us! Confess Jesus as Lord of our life, and take the message to the people! If we don't do this on a regular basis, we will find ourselves on the outside looking in when the time comes to go home! The longer we go without our profession and confession, the harder it will be to come back when we finally decide that we want to! And, if we wait too long, we may get the door shut in our face! jacquie7
Holding on to our confession is important because it’s our acknowledgement and confession of our faith; that we believe in God the Father and that Jesus is His Son who was born of a virgin, died on the cross, rose from the grave on the third day, ascended into heaven, and is sitting at the right hand of the Father, who created heaven and earth. Our confession is vital because we must hold on to our faith. It must be active and is important to our eternal life.

Old Jerry
It is important to hold onto our confession because we have to know what we believe in. If we don’t know what we believe in then we will be thrown around like the wind and start believing in what the world believes in. We believe in the one and only God and that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and that He rose again and is sitting at the right hand of God. lighthouse2014
Q1. (Hebrews 4:14) What is so important about "holding fast to our confession." What is our confession or profession of faith? Why is maintaining this confession so vital? By holding fast to our confession of faith that God the Father created heaven and earth and Jesus Christ is His only Son, keeps us from drifting into unbelief, Christ is our Savior and without Him we have no eternal life. Our confession of faith lets others know that we believe and put our faith in Christ and this we hold fast to. This confession is vital to us as believers in our faith and it states our allegiance to Christ as a witness to others, believers and non-believers. Paula Price
It is important to hold fast to our confession if we want to enter into God's rest, which is promised to those of us who believe. that rest is heaven, where God is. That is the whole reason we believe, to see God and live with him when we leave this earth. Our confession is that Jesus Christ is the son of God who died and was raised from the dead. He is Lord, the promised Messiah of the prophets in the old testament, the one who was promised to come to redeem man from his sin and restore him back to God who created him.. It is vital for us to maintain this confession because that is the will of God that we do this in order to be redeemed back to him. We are here to do the will of the father and that will is stated in the bible, which we are to believe and follow. "Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man; for God shall bring every word into judgement with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil".
