Recommended Posts

Q1. Hebrews 5:14 A person becomes mature in the Word of God by mastering the subject through constant listening, and receiving whole heartedly.

As she/he consistenly applies to what he/she has received through the teachings and personal dedication to the study of the Word, on a daily basis, eventualy the person learns to distiguish right from wrong, then this person has shown maturity.

Q1. (Hebrews 5:14) How does a person become mature in God's Word according to verse 14? What can you do to grow in maturity?

According to Hebrews 5:14, a person becomes mature in God's word by constant study, meditation and obedience to his word. This constant ability to remain in God's word teaches us to distinguish between good and evil.

The things I can do to grow in maturity in God's word is indeed to research, meditate and study the meaning of his word. To become or stay in a church where God's word is read, taught with our edification is a good place to remain for fellowship and an anchor for our Christian home.

We mature in God's word when live our lives according to his will.  We need to study and walk in his word and do his will. Trusting and obeying God will give us maturity to grow in the word and help others to grow also by example .  In this book Paul is addressing a people who have falling away from the gospel and have returned to the ways of sin.  He is reminding them that they have become like babies again, needing milk to grow back to maturity in God.  They have forgotten or chosen to live their lives without God and need to learn the way of him all over again in order to be redeemed back to him.  Living and do the will of God, being obedient to his word is the only way to grow and be matured in the word.  Studying and learning of him and what he requires of us to live holy and righteous .

We become mature in God's word by trusting, believing and waiting and standing on his promises. Studying the word daily, walking in the word daily, doing the will of God daily.  Abraham was a faithful servant and never wavered from his faith and belief in God.  He waited for years for the promise the Lord gave to him when he was a young man.  We must have the patience of Job and the faith  of Abraham in order to receive the promises that has been promised us and no matter what may be the test, we must never lose our faith. Trusting and obeying the word of God is the only way to grow in maturity.

A person not only listens to it but puts it into practice by obeying it daily and learning what God wants them do daily with the Word they have learned. I can obey the Word and the Lord.

Q1. (Hebrews 5:14) How does a person become mature in God's Word according to verse 14? What can you do to grow in maturity?

Through the sincere belief in Jesus as the son of God, and His sacrifice, and then our evolving love of God's word and a disciplined mind that is led by the Spirit. We can't do this on our own, but we can humbly submit to Him and patiently the old man will fade away and the new man will renew stronger, day by day

Q1. (Hebrews 5:14) How does a person become mature in God's Word according to verse 14?
Being in constant fellowship with God, reading and meditating on his word. Having your own personal relationship with God.

What can you do to grow in maturity?

Study Gods word and get understanding of it. Don’t just take what the preacher or anyone tells you about Gods word but dive in deeper so that you can make sure they are telling you the right thing and you yourself understand it.
