Commissioned
Q4. (Hebrews 13:15-16) Though the sacrifice for atonement have been completed in Christ, what kinds of sacrifices or offerings are Christians called upon to make? Christians are called upon to make "sacrifices of praise." Our praises to God is our verbal honoring, adoration, our celebration of His majesty and it is also our love and works of kindness to others. What effect do these offerings have on God? As a parent who appreciates a child honoring him/her, God also delights in us as we offer praises to Him.
Tabatha
Q4. (Hebrews 13:15-16) Though the sacrifice for atonement have been completed in Christ, what kinds of sacrifices or offerings are Christians called upon to make? What effect do these offerings have on God? When sacrificing an animal according to God's law, a priest would kill the animal, cut it in pieces, and places it on the altar.Sacrifice was important, but even in the old testament God made it clear that obedience from the heart was much more important. God wants us to offer ourselves, our praises, our worship, He wants us as living sacrifices. ( Romans 12:8 ) daily laying aside our own desires to follow Him, putting all our energy and resources at His disposal and trusting Him to guide us. We do this out of gratitude that our sins have been forgiven. God works in us to make us the kind of people that would please Him, and He equips us to do the kind of work that would please Him. Let God change you from within and then use you to help others. God has good, pleasing, and perfect plans for His children. He wants us to be changed people with the mind Of Christ, living to honor and obey Him .Because He wants only what is best for us, and because He gave His son to make our new lives possible, We should joyfully give Him honor and praise with the fruit of our lips continually. ( Hosea 14: 2 ) This, kind of praise He takes delight in. with great pleasure.
charisbarak
Our best sacrifice is ourselves! He loves the fruit of our lips as we praise Him. He loves our obedience. We can also sacrifice our time & money to bless Him. These offerings are well-pleasing to our God.
Helenmm
Q4. (Hebrews 13:15-16) Though the sacrifice for atonement have been completed in Christ, what kinds of sacrifices or offerings are Christians called upon to make? What effect do these offerings have on God? Christians can offer a sacrifice of praise (worship in spirit and in truth, with the whole heart, mind, soul and strength, passionately and adoringly), but this sacrifice must be backed up by a daily life filled with kindness and good works, great communication, love and care, a renewed mind, a clean life and full co-operation with those set over us (giving them joy intheir task). Not only this but we need a long vision, seeing the coming of the Heavenly Kingdom on earth and looking to that rather than the material present, and "putting all our eggs in that basket". We need to be content also that our love for Jesus may put us "outside the gate" of our natural community to some extent, for so suffered Jesus. This way God can work in us what pleases Him (His purpose for us), bringing us closer to perfection in every good work which will glorify Him. The joy of the Lord will be our strength! (Hebrews 13:15-16) Though the sacrifice for atonement have been completed in Christ, what kinds of sacrifices or offerings are Christians called upon to make? What effect do these offerings have on God? We are first to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, to me that means that we are to give up worldly desires, sacrifice them to God and to taken on the task of living and loving ans giving life to others as He has commanded. We are to sacrifice our lives in helping others come to a knowledge of Christ and the love He has for them. I believe as we sacrifice to God our lives, then we are as a child pleases his parents also pleasing to God. As we seek to do His will and give Him praise and thanksgiving then we are that pleasing sacrifice He wants us to be.

(Hebrews 13:15-16) Though the sacrifice for atonement have been completed in Christ, what kinds of sacrifices or offerings are Christians called upon to make? What effect do these offerings have on God? If it is true that God is the same today as yesterday the answer can be found in Isaiah 58. This is what we are called to do: Isaiah 58:6 "Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? 7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter-- when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? The Lord says that if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. And he will will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. And also, 9 Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I. I believe what the LORD is trying to tell us is that lip service should come only after foot service. Walk the walk before we talk the talk. JustJeff
Our sacrifice today is a sacrifice of praise or an offering of our lips. Additionally our walk must include giving to those less fortunate than ourselves. This is pleasing to God.
June
Our PRAISE and sacrifice of giving. Giving to missions, helping the needy, feeding the hungry. Fasting & praying.....Giving up something to do for someone else. God sees it and is honored when we do these things. It brings glory to God and says we are proud to be a part of His kingdom. It shows that He is working through us.

(Hebrews 13:15-16) Though the sacrifice for atonement have been completed in Christ, what kinds of sacrifices or offerings are Christians called upon to make? What effect do these offerings have on God? A " Sacrifice of Praise" today woud include thanking Christ for His Sacrifice on the cross and telling others about it. Acts of kindness and sharing are paticulary pleasing to God, even when they go unnoticed by others. Our Lips should confess God's Name in Praise. PATJOE
Q4. (Hebrews 13:15-16) Though the sacrifice for atonement have been completed in Christ, what kinds of sacrifices or offerings are Christians called upon to make? What effect do these offerings have on God? Because Jesus Himself was sacrificed as our sin offering, as Christians we are expected to praise Him; share what we have with others; strive to please God, and to live our lives here on earth with our priority focus being on God and what He did for us on the cross and to do so with praise and thanksgiving. God is pleased when we praise Him and do His work by helping others. He longs for every one of us to know Him that well and trust Him. Patricia A
Q4. (Hebrews 13:15-16) "15Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise -- the fruit of lips that confess his name. 16And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." (13:15-16) [/font] Though the sacrifice for atonement have been completed in Christ, what kinds of sacrifices or offerings are Christians called upon to make? "15Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise -- the fruit of lips that confess his name. 16And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." (13:15-16) Our praise37 can be considered a sacrifice. Not in the English language sense of "giving up something" but in the Old Testament sense of "offering up" to God. Our sacrifices to God don't just stop with words. They are fleshed out in actions -- "to do good39 and share40 with others." By our lives we can bring glory to God. What effect do these offerings have on God? When we offer praise with our lips and with our lives we delight God.

(Hebrews 13:15-16) Though the sacrifice for atonement have been completed in Christ, what kinds of sacrifices or offerings are Christians called upon to make? We are, of course, expected to offer up the Sacrifice of Praise. We are also expected to do good works, and share what we have with others. What effect do these offerings have on God? What we do for others pleases God. Even though we cannot earn His favor, he is delighted with us when we love our neighbor and take care of each other. Craig
We as Christians should be offering to God sacrifices of love, praise and good deeds in the name of Jesus Christ, so that we might bring the glory of God to the world. santolos
some people whin and complain to much and say "they can not do it "or "it is to hard". It is because they do not fully understand that there death was requried at the cross. We must raise early and seek God, we need to pray more and fellowship with him more. And if this is a sacrifies out of your busy day, boy are we in trouble.
Don W
The kinds of sacrifices or offerings us Christians are called upon to make to our God are: our own lives, to give up ourselves and to put on our new lives in Christ Jesus; to worship and praise God our heavenly Father through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ, and to thank Him for all He is and has done for us; to love, follow and obey Him all the days of our lives; and to praise Him with our mouths and live our lives to honor and glorify Him in this world. The effect of these offerings to God is that they please Him, honor and glorify Him as we live out our days in this dark world; and we let His light shine or reflect off of us to those in the world that we touch their lives and that God will bring them to Him through us. I wrote a song a long time ago about this called
Dar
Q4. (Hebrews 13:15-16) Though the sacrifice for atonement have been completed in Christ, what kinds of sacrifices or offerings are Christians called upon to make? We are to offer up to God the sacrifice of our 'lives" and of our "praise." As we offer up to God our lives, we should be offering it up without blemish, holy, one that is acceptable to Him, for He gave to us His Son, by which we may have life everlasting. How do we do this? First by trusting in Christ Jesus as our Lord and savior, then we can offer up to God hearts full of "praise," of "thankfulness" with joy, not only do we now have life everlasting, but we now have the ability of having fellowship with God Almighty; We have been given the Holy Spirit to help us overcome evil with good, so our lives will be one without blemish, for the fruits of our hearts should be seen in our lives, a life of PRAISE, of THANKFULNESS to God, for giving to us our Savior. We are human beings and are not perfect, but God sees our hearts and our intentions, this is what He sees even through our mistakes. What effect do these offerings have on God? God's desire is to have fellowship with His creation, it pleases Him when we try to live lives pleasing to Him. Why do we desire to do this? Because we love the Son, we are thankfull for what He did for us; so as we offer up our PRAISE, we are saying, "thank you Jesus for saving my soul," I will now offer up to God my life, saying "Thank you God for the Son." a life seen full of PRAISE. How it pleases God to see our lives changed, thanks for Calvary.
