SherAnna07
Psalm 27 To dwell in the house of the Lord means to be in His prescence. In other words, we are to abide in Him. Seeking God's face is wanting to know Him, which is establishing a relationship with Him, not just merely wanting His help in situations. Its uninterrupted fellowship with Him. David provides hope by telling us to wait on the Lord, to be patient and expectant, that He will help us and that He will strengthen us. DEIRDRE INAMDAR
Q1. (Psalm 27) What does it mean that David desires to "dwell in the house of the Lord"? What does it mean to "seek his face"? How does David provide hope at the end of this Psalm? David knows the goodness of the Lord, for he has tasted it and here we see him reflecting on the faithfulness and goodness of God and he expresses a desire to dwell, live, abide in the presence of the Lord the house of the Lord is the place where God dwells. In David's time it was the temple but today we know that we can be in God's presence anywhere and any time for we are His children. Seeking God's face is to seek His attention, wanting Him to hear us. David is convinced that when we wait on the Lord He will provide us the courage to go through the difficult times and we have the assurance that if we do we will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living that is in this life. linda bass
David's desire to "dwell in the house of the Lord" in psalm 27 means that he wanted to be close to God at all times. "Seek his face" means to seek an audience with God, to yearn for a personal intimacy with Him. David provides hope at the end of psalm 27 by stating he will see the Lord provide deliverance in his lifetime. He will not have to wait for the afterlife in order for God to answer his prayer. mags
David has a longing, desire to be in God's presence - to draw near to Him at all times. David sees and knows that it (the house of the Lord) is a safe place, a refuge. We should all seek to be in the presence of the Lrod. The cry of our hearts should be to know Him better, more intimately, which can only be achieved by 'seeking His face'. David provides hope at the end of this Psalm, by telling you to wait for the Lord, he also commands us to be strong. Don't give up but wait. Often, especially in today's society we want it now, but David reminds us to wait.

Mrs Brown
Q1. (Psalm 27) What does it mean that David desires to "dwell in the house of the Lord"? What does it mean to "seek his face"? How does David provide hope at the end of this Psalm? David desires is that the LORD will be with him when evil comes against him, people do him wrong, and when any sin comes against him that he will be able to call on the LORD and the LORD will deliver him from whatever comes to devour him. David in this question is saying that he will do what it takes to see the face of our Father. He will do nothing wrong and if he do he is asking the LORD to forgive his. He will be working to see God's face. David tells us that if we wait patiently for the LORD for the LORD will come. He may not come when we want Him but He will come. He is also saying when people lie on you, scandalize your name keep the path of the LORD and He will deliver you from all that people lie and scandalize about you. plethra
Q1. (Psalm 27) What does it mean that David desires to "dwell in the house of the Lord"? What does it mean to "seek his face"? How does David provide hope at the end of this Psalm? To dwell in the house of the Lord is to have a close relationship with the Lord. To read HIS Word, to pray and to obey HIM in all areas of our lives. A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP! Not just an introduction, but a trusting loving relationship. To seek HIS face is to pray, to again stay in a close relationship, to communicate with God. If we wait on the Lord and be courageous, (not give up or wimp out) God will strengthen our hearts. He will reward us and show us HIS power and glory and help us to walk in that glory!
Candy
He wants to please God, spend time with Him, devote his life to Him. He desires to draw close enough to God to be able to talk to Him and know Him, like He would a some one who is physically present. He is saying that even with everything he has went through no matter what it was, the Lord was always faithful. So no matter what your circumstance is Just wait on the Lord, He is always true. PATJOE
Q1. (Psalm 27) What does it mean that David desires to "dwell in the house of the Lord"? What does it mean to "seek his face"? How does David provide hope at the end of this Psalm? David wants to be close to the Lord at all times, when he says he desires to dwell in the house of the Lord -- where he can rejoice and feel safe and secure. When he writes about seeking His face, David wants to seek God's presence and be face to face with Him. He wants a personal relationship with God. David provides hope when he says to wait patiently on the Lord, no matter how long it takes, and know there are rich rewards for those who persevere and do the will of God. He never wants to do anything his way. He is only secure in waiting for God to guide him to live his life God's way. God is No. 1 in David's life. Tess Raven
What does it mean that David desires to "dwell in the house of the Lord"? What does it mean to "seek his face"? How does David provide hope at the end of this Psalm? Whenever I ponder my relationship with God, I always do so in terms of Father and child to try to put such an amazing connection into terms I understand. "To dwell" in my Father's house would mean enjoying the comforts of His care, His food, His shelter, his security. To snuggle into bed each night feeling safe, well fed and loved. But beyond the comforts provided, I, as a loving child, would also yearn to have personal time with my Father. I would "seek His face" to sit and share my heart with His. The hope at the end of the Psalm seems to stand bravely in spite of all the trial and evils we face each day in the confident knowledge that our Father's goodness will prevail. slicwidow
To dwell in the house of the Lord can be a couple of places. The place of the Lord is where he is. But I really feel David was talking about heaven where he and us will dwell with the Lord Forever!! Heaven is his house and we have a mansion waiting for us!! To seek His face is to constantly be in an attitude of prayer that no matter what we say, think, or do should be to God's glory. His face should be what we 'see' when we wake up in the morning, and what we see throughout the day, and the last thing we see when we pillow our head at night. If we seek His face, then we will wait on the Lord and he will bless us, see us through whatever we are facing at the time and prepare us for what we WILL face in the future. Just wait on the Lord. He is ever faithful

Malkiya
Q1. (Psalm 27) What does it mean that David desires to "dwell in the house of the Lord"? I believe that "may dwell in the house of the LORD, all the days of my life," is a metaphor to ha=ve his soul be invested in the holy spirit enough to create that "house" in side, within him/us so that he can have God at all times, with him. To be able to "gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple" appears to indicate a more etherial "gaze" and "temple" of the mind...accessible at any time. What does it mean to "seek his face"? To have a personal, accessible access to God during times of need, "the day of trouble". As he seeks his face in his mind during hard times, his "head" will then be exalted,,,seeing the sought face of God is hoped to assist during those challenging times. How does David provide hope at the end of this Psalm? He notes "confidence" of seeing the goodness of the LORD. As we are strong and take heart, we will get the answers we need. That is very hopeful. MrsG
David's desire was to live in the presence of the LORD everyday of his life. He was seeking an ongoing fellowship with God that would never be severed as long as he lived. David wanted to be in the presence of God in an intimate and personal way; in communion with God and God in communion with him, abiding in His Holy presence. God is able to deliver, believe in Him, wait for Him, He will help up. So wait expectantly for Him with all your heart. He will surely come. Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD!
