jeannethebean
Mary was told she was going to have a baby. She said, "How can this be?" (like any virgin would wonder!) And it was explained that with God all things are possible. "The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God." He will be in the line of David (as the Messiah was to be), and His kingdom will have NO END!  (That is a pretty amazing announcement. Especially to a 16 year old girl Jewish girl, dreaming of her betrothed.)

humblejon
Mary was a young virgin between 12 and 13 years old, and apparently found favor with God. Mary's child, therefore, will be Jeus (orImmanaul) mad he will be fully God dwelling with us. He is the promised Mesiah, who will established God's kingdom eternally.
