RAJU
Q2. (Matthew 2:11a) What do we learn from seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus? What was the significance of this for them? How can we emulate this kind of worship? We see the single minded devotion , piety , respect and glory given to the SAVOUR of the world , they travelled so many miles just to complete this worship It is a challenge to us in todays clutterred lifestlye that we should take time to be alone with God
sahala p.s.
Q2. (Matthew 2:11a) What do we learn from seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus? What was the significance of this for them? How can we emulate this kind of worship? From seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus we learn how the Magi humbled themselves before him, that without considering their status, education, our wealth, they bowed down and worshiped him when they were standing before him, the King, the Messiah. They know who they are, who he is, and then how they must do. The significance of this for them is that their respect for the King is suitable and right for that occasion We can emulate this kind of worship by humbling ourselves before him when we pray, praise him, or worship him with our heart attitude that we must be to him because he is our master and our king
masika
Q2. (Matthew 2:11a) What do we learn from seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus? What was the significance of this for them? How can we emulate this kind of worship? The lesson I can learn from the wise men prostrating themselves before the child Jesus, is that, they brought gifts and worshiped Jesus for who He was. This is the essence of true worship- honoring Christ for who He is and being willing to give Him what is valuable to you . Worship God because He is the perfect, just, and almighty Creator of the universe, worthy of the best you have to give.
Stan
Q2. (Matthew 2:11a) What do we learn from seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus? What was the significance of this for them? How can we emulate this kind of worship? That no one is exempt from serving the Lord and that as scripture state every knee will bow it is our choice like them we can kneel in worship or later kneel is obediance as judgement is rendered. The significance forthem is that as scholars of the heavens they were very wise in that they were also knowledgeable of God's word through His prophets and had came a long way to worship His Son their Saviour. We can emulate this by allowing our worship of God to guide us to serve Him and toteach other by allowing them to see how far we are willing to go to serve the onetrue God. Patriciaa
Q2. (Matthew 2:11a) What do we learn from seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus? These men were convinced -- rightly -- that they were standing before the Messiah, the King of the Jews. Their obeisance was fitting. What was the significance of this for them? They were showing that they worshiped the Messiah. How can we emulate this kind of worship? We can emulate this kind of worship by glorifying the Messiah worship, prayer, and living a life that is according to God's Word. Jesus tells us that when we love His children, we are showing our love for Him.
Sarah43
Q2. (Matthew 2:11a) What do we learn from seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus? What was the significance of this for them? How can we emulate this kind of worship? We learn from the Magi's prostration that He is truly King. For the magi, His birth was an historical momentous event, the most important in their lives. We can emulate the magi's worship by following the star wherever it leads us, and offering to Christ the riches of our selves.
JanMary
Q2. (Matthew 2:11a) What do we learn from seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus? Deity deserves and is worthy of worship and praise. They recognized that Jesus was God. Prostrating oneself demonstrates submission and surrender to the One being worshipped. How amazing, since they probably were not Jews...but were looking for the Messiah, sought Him until they found Him, then followed their worship with gifts of precious gold, frankincense and myrrh....gifts for royalty. The frankincense and myrrh were both worth more than their weight in gold, and were both used in the holy anointing oil.(Ex.:30:23, 34) Myrrh was mingled with the wine Jesus was offered but refused on the cross. (Mark 15:23) and Myrrh was used in embalming.(John 19:39)..all significant gifts and prophetic in nature. What was the significance of this for them? They found the Messiah and humbled themselves in worship and adoration after seeking Him for several years. Amazing to me, since the Jews were expecting Him too, but rather than searching for Him, they rejected Him when He was revealed to them. I would have thought the Jews would have been on this fervent search as well, since they knew the scriptures and prophecies. How can we emulate this kind of worship? Through humble submission, worship and praise....letting go of the common buddy idea of Jesus, and truly worshipping Him as our powerful and Almighty God. The gifts we can bring are our very lives...our hearts and devotion to Him ; Presenting our bodies as living sacrifices to Him in service. Our mouths pouring out our praise and appreciation to Him for His sacrifice for us, and then telling others about our marvelous King of Kings and Lord or Lords. That is the only "response" to the King of All Kings... What was the significance of this for them? After their long search...they found Him...and worshiped him....their "need" had been found and met... How can we emulate this kind of worship? Through humble praise...complete adoration and devotion...to our King.
servant for Christ
Q2. (Matthew 2:11a) What do we learn from seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus? What was the significance of this for them? How can we emulate this kind of worship? Humbleness, honor, respect, they acknowledged himas the Lord of Lords, and the King of Kings. They knew He was the Messiah, their Redeemer had finally come. We can emulate this kind of worship by praising and worshiping God for who He is, what He has done, and what He is going to do. By realizing He is the King of Kings and He is worthy of our praises.
Jewell
By prostrating themselves, they were acknowledging Christ as the Messiah. They were convinced that they were standing before the King of the Jews. We can emulate this type of worship by making God foremost in our lives and structuring our hearts, thoughts, and actions in a way that would please Jesus. Jen
Q2. (Matthew 2:11a) What do we learn from seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus? What was the significance of this for them? How can we emulate this kind of worship? It is interesting that I don't read of the Magi bowing before Herod who was of a human kind powerful, yet they prostated themselves before this little Child. They knew in their hearts when they saw Jesus that He was the King. They who were rich themselves humbled themselves before the Child of a poor man and woman. Maybe there are several things to learn but I see that every knee shall bow before the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. They made themselves of no regard to worship the One who is important. The One who deserves that worship. The significance of this for them? This was a life changing "event" in their lives. All their riches and position meant nothing before the Christ. They had open hearts and minds and searched for Him and God granted their desire. WOW!! What a Friend we have in Jesus. Everyday we can bow down and thank Jesus for what He has done for us. What a privilege! To God be the glory great things He has done! So loved He the world that He gave us His Son! Who yielded His life an atonement for sin, And opened the lifegate that all may go in. God Bless! Jen Numbers 6:24-
Commissioned
Q2. (Matthew 2:11a) What do we learn from seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus? What was the significance of this for them? How can we emulate this kind of worship? From seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus we can learn to submit to authority no matter the age of the individual. They realized that the messianic expectation was present with them. When we turn our heart to God and in deep meditations thank Him for sending His only begotten Son to redeem mankind, we have much to give thanks and worship God. janel
Q2 The Magi being considered as kings of the East or wise men of prominence in their own right prostrated before the child Jesus clearly showed that Jesus' sovereignty is above all. God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil.2:9-11) He is truly the King of kings and Lord of Lords. This has shown that they have made a pilgrimage of faith and has given homage to the King and Savior. As believers, we can emulate this kind of worship by submitting ourselves to His Kingship in obeying His commandments, to be faithful and to do His will for us. C Riv
Q2. (Matthew 2:11a) What do we learn from seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus? What was the significance of this for them? How can we emulate this kind of worship? I see that they were open to God, they believed in His Words and when they came upon The Child they did not hesitate to bow down and worship Him. I believe that this was important to them for they got to see all the prophesies come to be.All they had read and saw in the stars, God had made it known to them. Not all saw this star or knew of its significance. Not only bow down to Him, but give to Him our time, meditate on Him and allow Him to be part of our day, all day. To be still and allow the H.S. come upon us allowing Him to guide us.Our lives are about Him not ourselves.
Marloes
In my country, we have a queen - Beatrix. She doesn't make laws but has a ceremonial value and she is a good 'ambassador' for our country. In ancient times, kings really ruled. The wise men honoured Jesus as their King. We also have to be humble and to accept Him as our boss.

What was the significance of this for them? How can we emulate this kind of worship? Matthew 2:11a - On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. What do we learn from seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus? The Magi knew the prophesy and they knew they were in the presence of the Son of God, Jesus. What was the significance of this for them? The significance is honor and praise our Saviour, Jesus. How can we emulate this kind of worship? As we progress through Advent, we can remember the story of His birth and just sing and praise Him as the Magi did. Of course, this should happen anytime we are worshipping Him. hanks
Q2. (Matthew 2:11a) What do we learn from seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus? What was the significance of this for them? How can we emulate this kind of worship? We see the Magi, these important men, not only bowing down before our Lord but also presenting Him with gifts. They must have deemed this baby Jesus to be worthy of the long journey and the gifts. They worshiped Jesus for who He was. There is a lesson in this for us; we too are to honour Christ, for who He is. We can do this, in the same way, by worshiping Him with our sacrifices and gifts. JoeB
Jesus is the King of kings, Jesus is our Savior, Lord, and Messiah. We should worship Him and center our lives around Him. This isn't always easy to do, sometimes worldly things can win out when we lose sight of Christ in our lives. If the 3 wise men were compelled to humbly bow before Jesus we should also do the same! JoeB
That King Herod had not had Him killed and that He was the King of all..Jesus is worthy of royal honor from all humanity as all are included in God's redemptive plan. We can bow down and worship our Lord and yes, prostrate ourselves on the floor and lay everything in this life aside and yield all to Jesus. He is the answer to EVERYTHING. Pray it through. Thanks for the inspiring words, "He (Jesus) is the answer to EVERYTHING. Pray it through."

What was the significance of this for them? How can we emulate this kind of worship? We see a picture of worship. Worship is placing myself low....face to the ground...kneeled. This is a physical sign of placing God in the higher position and intentionally recognizing God's greatness, and our lowliness
jr4624
Q2. (Matthew 2:11a) What do we learn from seeing the Magi prostrating themselves before the child Jesus? What was the significance of this for them? How can we emulate this kind of worship? They believed that He was someone worthy of worship, and they were showing their commitment or submission to Him. They knew many (most, perhaps) of the prophecies concerning messiah. They seem to be showing that they believed Him to be the savior and ruler of the universe. By completely submitting to Him. We need to lay our lives at His feet and make Him the Lord over our lives. We need to give Him each day as it comes and go where He leads us, one day at a time.
