heatherdills
From the standpoint of power, the significance of Paul's statement that "God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus..." is that we are just as powerful in our faith in Him as He is by His mercy for our salvation. charliet
From the standpoint of power, what is the significance of Paul`statement that "God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus..?" 3 As I see the significance of Paul`statement; At the very moment that we received Christ as saviour we immediately became a part of Christ body and we are promised an eternal home in heaven. When we are called home forever to be with our Lord we will be heirs and joint heirs with Christ. So all that is under His feet is under ours. Helen
We are inheritors with Him! We are reborn children like Jesus who is the "firstborn (of the resurrection power of God) of many". He shares (gives to us in His Name) the same authority that He wielded over all things when He was "in the flesh". Although we still sin, we have the power to overcome (see promises to overcomers in Rev 2 & 3) and to become like Jesus Christ the annointed one in very many respects. It's like "as Jesus is to God, so are we to Jesus". If He loved us and gave us His only Son, will He not also with Him give us all things? We lack nothing (Psalm 23?1). It rather depends on our determination to overcome, I think!
AngelOnLine
Q3. (Ephesians 2:6) From the standpoint of power, what is the significance of Paul's statement that "God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus...."? This means that we reign with Jesus. All is under our feet, including Satan. He can no longer tempt us, we are victorious over evil.
MyBeloved
From the standpoint of power, the significance of Paul's statement that "GOD raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus" is when we received Jesus Christ as our personal Savior we were raised up, made alive in Christ. We are now positionally seated in the heavenly realms with Christ Jesus. We have each our own place assigned there, which in due time we will take possession. We do not deserve it, it is all by grace.
sunbeam7
"From the standpoint of power, what is the significance of Paul's statement that "God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus...."? I must admit that I've read this scripture for many years and never really comprehended that I, (and every Christian today), had this same power that Jesus talked about when He told his disciples that they would do "Greater works than these", that we have the same power and authority that Christ has - living in us that have accepted Him as our Lord & Savior & are seeking to do His Will each day - Not until Pastor Wilson pointed out Eph. 2:6 so clearly, did I realize the emmence power available to us in Christ Jesus!!! zoee
From the standpoint of power Paul's statement is powerful, when you actaully think about it we are joint heir with Christ. What is under Christ feet is also under our feet.
mandmwest
Q. 3) When we accept the gift of Christ we are given the athority over spirit beings and powers also. We are heirs with Him, and utilizing this power is important for the glorification of God so others may see His greatness.
Zegeye
The significance of Paul's statement that "God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus...." is great. As He holds the authority, power and dominion over all spirits and beings, we are commissioned to excersise this power as His body on earth. Irrespective of our human nature we enjoy the fruits of His truimph and excercise the power through His leadership.

s8nfighter
Paul points out the fact that through faith in the resurected Christ we are now seated with Christ in heaven. Along with this new citizenship comes a new responsibility. That responsibility is to act like citizens of Christ. And the Holy Spirit which dwells within us gives us the power to overcome the desires of this world. Yes it all begins with faith, but if we look at 2 Peter it does not end there. 2 Peter 1:3 "For His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. 4 By these He has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires. 5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, 6 knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness, 7 godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 The person who lacks these things is blind and shortsighted, and has forgotten the cleansing from his past sins. " For His devine power has given us everything for "life and godliness"

Stooph
The way I see it, we're seated in the heavenly realms, and have the power and authority over the other god's and spirits. Now if that doesn't empower us, what will?

denise knight
1.) Ephesians 1:6 gives hope to the believer. It gives purpose to the believer's life and and reason for being. It gives power to undeserving, powerless people. It gives us a place of authority with Christ. Through the finished work of Christ in the life of those who have accepted Him as Savior, we too have authority and power over the spirits and principalities of the world. masika
It means that we also have full authority over demons and evil spirits, they are under our feet. This is by the grace of God and nobody should boast.
lritter11623
as a christian we were redeemed, one of the best examples I like to use is Gomer and Hosea, we were nothing before redemption, just as Gomer, but through grace and redemption Christ has lifted us up to sit with him. Lion of Grace
From the standpoint of power, when God raised Jesus up and seated Him in the Heavenly realm, we too were raised up and seated with Him..... through Him. This was done, so in the coming ages, His grace and mercy expressed by His kindness would be shown through Jesus. The power is in Jesus' blood and in grace. By grace we are saved, through faith. It's a gift from God. By grace, we are raised to where we never could have gone by ourselves. We can't earn it. Only through our faith in Christ do we believe in the power behind the blood of Christ. We believe for the forgiveness of our sins and we believe for our new life and for our eternal life. We believe in the power He gives for any task He sets before us and has already planned for us to do. We aren't capable to do good works until we understand faith and grace and what it means in our lives and for the lives of others. By the power of Jesus and God's grace, we can overcome anything, because all things are under Jesus' authority and we share in that because of His goodness and mercy extented to us to share in His glory. steve.c
(Ephesians 2:6) From the standpoint of power, what is the significance of Paul's statement that "God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus...."? The statement tells us that God has placed us along side His Son and over all other spiritual powers. It tells us that, when we confront the devil and his demons, we do so from a position of strength, not weakness. We know that the final victory over the devil is assured. The resurrection of Jesus assured this. We should also know that with Jesus indwelling within us, with the power of the Holy Spirit, we can defeat the attacks of the devil. No temptation is so great that we cannot overcome it. We will be tested. The devil is cunning and will attack us in the most vulnerable part at the most vulnerable time but we can prevail. We have the power to do it. This should gives us confidence. It should strengthen our resolve.
Foladag
Q3. (Ephesians 2:6) From the standpoint of power, what is the significance of Paul's statement that "God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus...."? The significance of this statement is that believers are fellow partakers, as joint heirs with Christ, in the positional authority and incomparable power invested in Christ. Therefore, believers have authority over all the power of the kingdom of darkness, and nothing can by any means harm them. With this great understanding believers should operate victoriously in the physical world, for greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Rebekkah
Q.#3 (Eohesians2:6) Because of our faith in Christ he has given the same power and authority over spiritual beings as he does, we just have to believe and use it. dexterd
The Church has been given the life giving power that worked in Christ. The position of seating surely indicates that the Church possesses the authority that Christ has released through and to the Body.

Exposition God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ! WOW When God raised Christ He also raised us up. First in Salvation, then in the spiritual world. We have power and authority over every demon and power that comes against us, IF WE ARE IN CHRIST! Mark says that we have power to cast out demons, to heal the sick, etc. Christ said that we would do mighty works just like Him.
