Antwan
Q4. (Romans 6:2-5) According to this passage, at what point do we move from being under the headship of Adam to the headship of Christ? Is there anything we must do to bring about this change in headship? What are the implications of us having died with Christ? When we accept Christ as Lord and Savior, we have died to a lifestyle of sin and we are now in Christ; we die to the life we were living, in which we were following the sinful nature, begun with the first Adam. We died with Christ and just as He was resurrected into a new life, we are also to live a new life towards God (looking to God), and not fulfilling our natural lusts. We are raised with Christ, because we are in Him (spiritually).
jon burke
This is achieved with our union in Christ, we have died to sin. We are redeemed through the Blood of Christ. We are in Christ, we are sanctified through Christ. The availability of God's Grace and Forgiveness should not become an excuse for careless living and immoral behaviour. We must die to sin and live and lead a Christ like life, no longer conforming to the ways of the world. We are a new creation in Christ with the gift of eternal life. Is there anything we must do to bring about this change in headship? What are the implications of us having died with Christ? When we're baptized. Well, to get baptized. Yes, we've died for sin - meaning we don't have to suffer the consequences anymore.
Paul G
Q4. (Romans 6:2-5) According to this passage, at what point do we move from being under the headship of Adam to the headship of Christ? ANS - If we were to use ONLY this passage it would appear that baptism is the point that we move under the headship of Christ. But, in perspective of all scripture, it must start first with salvation, followed by baptism. Is there anything we must do to bring about this change in headship? ANS - Yes, as per the first answer, we must give our lives to Christ, through the act of repentance, and give our lives to Him. What are the implications of us having died with Christ? ANS - We become one, or united with Him. Our sins are buried, gone forever. The old life is gone, and we start a new life, a "resurrected life" with Him. Foofee's Nana
(Romans 6:2-5) According to this passage, at what point do we move from being under the headship of Adam to the headship of Christ? If we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as our savior, then we are now one with Him through His death and resurrection. Is there anything we must do to bring about this change in headship? Believe....trust him to be our Master. If we are united with Him, we now have the Holy Spirit and a ticket to heaven...PRAISE GOD !!!! What are the implications of us having died with Christ? If we have died with Christ then we are a new creature, the price has been paid.....we were the 1st Adam...now we are in full residence with the 2nd Adam. Old Jerry
According to this passage, the point we move from being under the headship of Adam to the headship of Christ is when we were baptized. Christ made this possible for us when he died on the cross for us. The thing that we must do to bring this change in headship about is accept the fact that Jesus died for us and that he was resurrected. The implications of us having died with Christ is that at the last day we will be resurrected and live with him for eternity.
wifee
4a)We move from headship of Adam to headship of Christ when we are saved(repent, believe, accept forgiveness)give our allegiance to Christ and follow Him- we are united with Christ, members of the body of Christ, baptised into the body of Christ, buried with Christ in baptism. As all sinned in Adam, Christ as head, died for the sins of all & took our separation from God @ the eternal consequences of God’s anger to death. b)Publically profess this change of headship e.g baptism(confirmation of) with a radical change in us &our relationship to our old self &sin, we are now joined to Christ & one another,we are “in Him”, we spiritually died with him on cross. We all can make the choice to follow Christ c)This should affect how we see ourselves & *our sin”. We should see sin as God see’s it & not make excuses. We have the joy and hope of eternal life in Christ His one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men Romans 5:18. Love for others should be seen as evidence of this John 13:35By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. Moody Grad
Q4. (Romans 6:2-5) According to this passage, at what point do we move from being under the headship of Adam to the headship of Christ? Is there anything we must do to bring about this change in headship? What are the implications of us having died with Christ? We move under the headship of Christ Jesus when we were united with Him in death. In order to bring about this change, we must die to sin. If we died with Christ, we are united in His resurrection. We receive life and, more importantly, eternal life. Our lives do not end when we die our earthly death. Thank you, Jesus, for your promise of everlasting life. Is there anything we must do to bring about this change in headship? What are the implications of us having died with Christ? - Knowing that our life is a mess and there is nothing we can do, we ask Christ into our life to be our Lord and Saviour. - We must be water baptized. Knowing we are buried with Christ in baptism into death - We reckon ourselves dead to sin but alive to God through Jesus Christ. Knowing this that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that we should not serve sin.
ljmnkscart
Christ became our (believers) Head when we died to sin, that is we buried our old selves and stopped intentionally pursuing an ungodly way of life. There is nothing we can do except have faith and trust Jesus that He will bring about what He has promised us-to be with Him forever. All the other work is Christ's. When we died with Christ that means that we as believers are now redeemed; we have been bought or ransomed from the life of sin and we have been made holy by the torturous sacrifice that Jesus made on Calvary. Guitar Jim
Q4. (Romans 6:2-5) According to this passage, at what point do we move from being under the headship of Adam to the headship of Christ? When we accept Christ as our Savior. Prior to our becoming Christians we were of the world whose ruler, at the present time is the devil. Once we accept Christ's sacrifice on our behalf we become children of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God. We become members of the body of Christ with Christ himself as head of the body. Is there anything we must do to bring about this change in headship? We must accept the Gift of God, which is the sacrificial death on our behalf of Jesus Christ, and be baptized into union with Him. We must also, in the power the Holy Spirit gives us, do our best to live a life according to what the Bible teaches us. We must turn our backs on our old sinful way of life. What are the implications of us having died with Christ? We share in His death and resurrection through baptism. We live in union with Christ as part of the body of Christ. We also now live with the Holy Spirit in us helping us to live Godly lives. We should love our fellow believers and hold to the doctrines taught in the Bible. erika
In Christ we move from a sinful nature to a spiritual nature by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior the head of our Lives. When Christ died our sinful nature died with him. He conquered death (Sin) and we have become one with Him by dying with Him. We have to continually surrender ourselves to Him and live righteous. Sin does not have dominion over us anymore, we now live under the Grace of God and Have eternal life.
royk
Q4. (Romans 6:2-5) According to this passage, at what point do we move from being under the headship of Adam to the headship of Christ? Is there anything we must do to bring about this change in headship? What are the implications of us having died with Christ? The acceptance and rejoicing in the mind seems important to me as I study this, as I continue to stumble and get back up. There is he logic of how this death is best for me; however I would rather fell the joy and passion fo God's love and from that point sek to control my mind. Starting with the intellectual side of "this" and becoming joyful seems un-natural for how God wired me. I'd rather sing "How great Thou Art" "How Great is Our God" Coming to an intellectual conclusion I can see has some value, still the world distracts us with thoughts of money, power, pleasure, ... we must trust in Him and let Him lead us to die deeper to this sin and be born again, cleaner and more focused. According to this passage, at what point do we move from being under the headship of Adam to the headship of Christ? When we are baptized and resurrected. Romans 6:2-5 (ASV) 2 God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein? 3 Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection; Is there anything we must do to bring about this change in headship? eracine
We are no longer under Adam once we fully believe that Christ has died for our sins and took our place. God see us as innocent and we become His children when we put our trust and faith in what Christ has done for us. We were subject to death but now we are free! It just doesn't get any better than that, people! Except the fact that we will have new lives, and live ...well, forever without end! And-always be in the presence of our Lord and Savior! Janissi
According to this passage, at what point do we move from being under the headship of Adam to the headship of Christ? Is there anything we must do to bring about this change in headship? What are the implications of us having died with Christ? When Christ died for our sins and we accepted the work of the Cross, that is the point when we moved from being under the headship of Adam to the headship of Christ. We crossed over. The only thing we must do is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and we are saved. We become sons and daughters of the Most High. We are adopted into His family. We have to accept this by faith and not works. It's His grace. The implications of us having died with Christ is that we are free from the bondage of sin. We are not free from a sinful nature, but we are free from allowing it to control us.
Joeraja
Q4. (Romans 6:2-5) According to this passage, at what point do we move from being under the headship of Adam to the headship of Christ? Is there anything we must do to bring about this change in headship? What are the implications of us having died with Christ. We move from being under the headship of Adam to the headship of Christ the moment we accept Christ as our Saviour and Lord and follow Him. We must repent of our sins and believe in the Christ who died for our sins and was resurrected on the third day. Our faith in Jesus will set us free. Having died in Christ means that our old man ( first Adam) is dead and we are a new man, a spirit man, who can inherit a Christ-like life. We now have dominion over sin and can lead a righteous life. robertprice
The point of this remarkable change is when we are convicted of sin and righteousness by the Holy Spirit and are led to surrender our lives to the lordship of Jesus Christ. Baptism should follow on this. Having died with Christ, we are then formally dead to sin which should have no more dominion over us.
