Craig
Q5. (1 John 2:26-27) If we have the Holy Spirit, why do we need teachers in the church? How does the role of the anointing differ from the Holy Spirit's spiritual gift of teaching? God calls some to be apostles, evangelists, preachers, and teachers to equip the saints for ministry to the lost and to one another as well as building up the body of Christ -- the Church. The Holy Spirit dwells within the believer personally working to transform us into Christ-like human beings. Helping to take on the "mind of Christ." Individual believers are given supernatural gifts by God through the Holy Spirit to specifically function within a certain role in building up the Church as well as building the Kingdom of God on this planet. Paul gives many examples of gifts given by the Holy Spirit in his Epistles.
glory
WE STILL NEED TEACHERS IN THE CHURCH THOUGH WE HAVE THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WITHIN US BECAUSE THEY HELP TO EQUIP THE CHURCH AND MATURE THE SAINTS.IN FACT, WHEN I FIRST GOT SAVED AND GAVE MY LIFE TO CHRIST , IT WAS THE TEACHING OF GOD'S WORD BY A VERY ANOINTED MAN OF GOD THAT BROUGHT BACK LIFE TO ME. I WAS DYING; LITERALLY ON A DEATHBED FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS.TEACHERS HELP US TO PREPARE FOR OUR CALLING AND HELP US TO UNDERSTAND GOD'S WORD.THE GIFT OF TEACHING IS WHERE THE PASTOR TEACHES US THROUGH HIS EXPERIENCES AND HIS UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORD.THE ANOINTING IS WITHIN ME TO LEAD AND GUIDE ME DAILY AS I LISTEN TO THE HOLY SPIRIT FOR HIS WORDS OF GUIDANCE AND WISDOM TO ME PERSONALLY. peacebringer
Q5. (1 John 2:26-27) If we have the Holy Spirit, why do we need teachers in the church? How does the role of the anointing differ from the Holy Spirit's spiritual gift of teaching? Teachers are people GOd has blessed with an ability to communicate God's word to others to build them up. WE need teachers because we are all growing and a teacher serves the role of helping facilitate growth. We need other parts of the body to help us grow up in the faith. WE were not created to be in isolation. In the body, cells work together.
Debra M.
If we have the Holy Spirit, why do we need teachers in the church? It is like we are traveling down a road and this road has ditches on both sides. The ditches represent false teachings, lies, deception, and a lead to greater false teachings, lies and deception. The Holy Spirit keeps us on the road and out of the ditches. The teachers keep us moving forward and traveling along the road. How does the role of the anointing differ from the Holy Spirit's spiritual gift of teaching? The spiritual gift of teaching can be without the anointing. The anointing is the persuasion that keeps the spiritual gift of teaching charismatic. Others will see the gift and recognize the gift within those that possess the gift when the gift is anointed. Debbie Cambridge
Q5. (1 John 2:26-27) If we have the Holy Spirit, why do we need teachers in the church? How does the role of the anointing differ from the Holy Spirit's spiritual gift of teaching? We need teachers in the church for encouraging and building up the body of Christ. They can also help us to understand the scriptures, as they can help to put things in context and to explain what certain things mean in their time, and how they apply to ours. The annointing is the gift from the spirit of discernment and power to start our real journey with God. The Holy Spirit's gift of teaching is one of the gifts he imparts. There are many more, and he gives them to us as is appropriate. Although we need to constantly learn to increase our knowledge and mature as Christians. STEPHEN ROSS
Teachers are anointed by the Holy Spirit to impart the truth of Scripture, as we read God's Word the Holy Spirit teaches us the depths of the word. The anointing is the power of the Spirit, whereas teachers are set apart as a ministry gifting to the body of Christ.
Greta
The Holy Spirit teaches us the right way to go and how to behave. Our leaders have also received the spiritual gift of teaching and they are able to take the whole congregation in the same direction because they have prayed for and received a 'special word for the church' from God. sweetpea
Q5. (1 John 2:26-27) If we have the Holy Spirit, why do we need teachers in the church? How does the role of the anointing differ from the Holy Spirit's spiritual gift of teaching? The Holy Spirit gives each one of us different gifts. The Holy Spirit directs our path in right and wrong. But the teachers in the church guide us in the right direction through the reading of the Word and encouraging and building up of the body of Christ. The annointing is a gift of discernment and sometimes prophecy. The gift of teaching is one of the Holy Spirits gifts to us.
Commissioned
Q5. (1 John 2:26-27) If we have the Holy Spirit, why do we need teachers in the church? In Ephesians 4:12, the Apostle Paul tells us that we need teachers in the church: "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." How does the role of the anointing differ from the Holy Spirit's spiritual gift of teaching? The role of the anointing differ from the Holy Spirit's spiritual gift of teaching in that the anointing has been given to all believers but the gift of teaching is given only to those whom the Holy Spirit desires to give. maddog
Q5. (1 John 2:26-27) If we have the Holy Spirit, why do we need teachers in the church? How does the role of the anointing differ from the Holy Spirit's spiritual gift of teaching? We need teachers to help us grow in the scriptures; to obtain a deeper understanding of our relationship with Jesus; to gather together on one accord with the same mind set; and the more we come together the more opportunities we have to bless others and to receive a blessing. Additionally, there are many who are on different spritual levels and need to grow in Christ through the teachings of those whom God has called to be teachers. We never reach a point that we know all God has for us.
Foofee's Nana
When we become beleivers in Christ Jesus we all are given the gift of the Holy Spirit, but we still need to teachers to help us stay in the word and adhere to biblical teachings. We do not want to follow any false doctrines because we have become too big for our britches and think we know everything. The gift of anointing is different than teaching because teachers are called to help the saints (us as believers) to discern good from eveil and prepare us to face what lay ahead. As we mature thought we need to study God's Word so that we are able to grow in wisdom.

Deborah Eberhard
If we have the Holy Spirit, why do we need teachers in the church? We will always need fellowship and human guidance, if not , then why would God use us or need us? Like Moses and John, God used them to guide us and to teach us. I may not completely understand or get something I read, but God may place someone here on earth in front of me to explain it better to me. Then I too will be equipped to teach more accurately. How does the role of the anointing differ from the Holy Spirit's spiritual gift of teaching? "The anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counerfeit -- just as it has taught you, remain in Him." (1 John 2:27)
jacquie7
Teachers are needed in the church to help believers prepare for ministry work. The role of the anointing is to remain in and teach us about all things and the Holy Spirit’s spiritual gift of teaching equips believers for the work of the ministry that builds up the body of Christ. Craig
Q5. (1 John 2:26-27) If we have the Holy Spirit, why do we need teachers in the church? How does the role of the anointing differ from the Holy Spirit's spiritual gift of teaching? Because we have the Holy Spirit does not mean we do not need teachers in the church. God has made specific provision for such teachers in Ephesians 4:11-14: "Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won't be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like truth." NLT It means that the Christian does not need any teaching apart from what is found in the Word of God as to the truth of God. With the Word of God in our hands and the Spirit of God in our hearts, we have all that we need for instruction in the truth of God.
Guitar Jim
Q5. (1 John 2:26-27) If we have the Holy Spirit, why do we need teachers in the church? How does the role of the anointing differ from the Holy Spirit's spiritual gift of teaching? Â Quite simply, not everyone can understand Scripture all that well. We can read the Bible, even the modern English translations, and still not "get it" when it comes to really understanding it. We need people whom the Holy Spirit has gifted to go into detail and explain the difficult parts. The anointing of the Holy Spirit in us will open the way for teachers to teach. He will also give us understanding and discernment if the teaching we receive isn't sound. I remember one Sunday many years ago when one of the deacons at our church preached. He was on the Baptist Union's committee for sending out missionaries and one of the guys he'd sent to New Guinnea died in a plane crash there. He mis-quoted Scripture for forty minutes to salve his own conscience. Obviously he felt guilty over "sending a man to his death." During that whole sermon I sat there with my spider sense tingling over the faulty interpretations the deacon put forward to absolve himself from guilt. He didn't draft the missionary. The Christian pilot was a volunteer, using his ability as a pilot to serve God. Every time he flew over the mountainous country of New Guinnea he knew the risks. Old Jerry
We need the teachers in the church to help us understand what the Holy Spirit is trying to tell us. We also need them so that we can better understand the Scriptures. The anointing brings the Holy Spirit to us and then if we have the gift of teaching we will be able to do that better. But if we have some other gift we will also be able to honor God in that gift that He gave us.
wifee
5a)God has given the church annointed, gifted teachers to build up the church "to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12) as we receive their godly ministry. However we are not to depend on this and ignore the Holy Spirit in us teaching us.  God’s annointing comes on all believers, with the indwelling of HS teaching us about all things nurturing our faith&study of the Word of life, and giving us the discernment to tell whether teachers are speaking truth or not. Some not all are blessed with HS special gift of teaching, to help guide us in not only in strengthening our faith, but sharing our faith with others to build up the kingdom of God, drawing others to know Jesus
tgandy
We need teachers in the church to help us, or give us what we need for the work of the ministry. God will lead you to it, and he will get you through it by giving you what you need to do it. But, we need teachers to guide us. I believe the anointing is the calling. That remains internal. Now we need to be guided on how to use it. Like the ministry. Some are called but need the teachers' guidance on what to do. JSF
All believers have this "anointing".  Not all have the gift of teaching. Believers must constantly still be vigilant to analyze teachings to see if they are right according to God and His Word, because there are still those who stray and can easily lead us down the wrong path if we just blindly follow and do not rely on the Spirit to show us what is right and also check it out as the Bereans did.  God's truth and life are in the Word and we must remain in it to be solidly grounded in the truth.
