charchar
Q4. (1 John 4:11-18) What kind of fear should we have towards God? What kind of fear is extinguished by his love perfected in us? What kind of attitude should we have towards future judgment? We should show respect to our Lord. He have all power in His had to do what ever He wish but He continue to show us His great Love. We should stay focus of the idea that no one know the day that our Lord will come so we should always be ready and no let anything or any situation stop us from respecting God and all that He have purpose for our life. Jen
Q4. (1 John 4:11-18) What kind of fear should we have towards God? What kind of fear is extinguished by his love perfected in us? What kind of attitude should we have towards future judgment? It is a reverential fear of Him who is holy and awesome. It is a fear of respect for who He is. He is to be feared. We who are believers and lovers of His Son Jesus have this fear cast out of us because we know that Jesus came to save us from judgement. He came and He accomplished and we can know this for a certainty through His Word and the Holy Spirit. I do fear future judgement. Not for me but for those who have rejected the only begotton Son of the God. The One who is unique, in a class of His own. Not to be unreverential because of the commonness of this statement but Jesus is the "Class Act" and I love Him and thank Him very much. God Bless! nurselaino
Q4. (1 John 4:11-18) What kind of fear should we have towards God? What kind of fear is extinguished by his love perfected in us? What kind of attitude should we have towards future judgment? 1Jn 4:11 Dear friends, if this is how God loved us, then we should love one another. 1Jn 4:12 No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in union with us, and his love is made perfect in us. 1Jn 4:13 We are sure that we live in union with God and that he lives in union with us, because he has given us his Spirit. 1Jn 4:14 And we have seen and tell others that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 1Jn 4:15 If we declare that Jesus is the Son of God, we live in union with God and God lives in union with us. 1Jn 4:16 And we ourselves know and believe the love which God has for us. God is love, and those who live in love live in union with God and God lives in union with them. 1Jn 4:17 Love is made perfect in us in order that we may have courage on the Judgment Day; and we will have it because our life in this world is the same as Christ's. 1Jn 4:18 There is no fear in love; perfect love drives out all fear. So then, love has not been made perfect in anyone who is afraid, because fear has to do with punishment. The fear we should have towards God is out of respect or awe. We should stand in reverence towards Him. The love that God shows for us should rid of us of any fear that is made by terror or fright. We know we will be judged but because we are living with the love of God and living our lives patterned after our Lord, Jesus Christ we should be looking forward to His return and living all eternity with our Holy Father in perfection. We have no fear in His return only hope.

What kind of attitude should we have towards future judgment? We must here distinguish, between fear and being afraid; or, in this case, between the fear of God and being afraid of him. The fear of God is often mentioned and commanded as the substance of religion (1Pe 2:17; Re 14:7); and so it imports the high regard and veneration we have for God and his authority and government. Such fear is consistent with love, yea, with perfect love, as being in the angels themselves. If we have confessed our sins and trusted in Christ to save us, there is nothing to fear from God
Greta
The fear of God we should have is reverence, respect and awe in the presence of God. The fear that is extinguished by His love is a 'slavish fear', an intimidating alarming force, a fear of punishment and abandonment. We should welcome the Day of Judgement as fulfillment of this blessed hope and long to see Him face to face.

What kind of attitude should we have towards future judgment? The ideal fear a Christian should have for God is a healthy respect, awe, and reverence for Him, not a terrifying fear (although I do believe we should have a little fear of what He will do to us if we don't remain in Him). It is this terror that is extinguished the more we get to know God and experience His love, and it's the absence of this fear we have toward the coming judgment: we have confidence that in Christ we will escape that wrath. What kind of attitude should we have towards future judgment? The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge and holding Him aand His son in high esteem; Proverbs 4:23 "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. The spirit of bondage generate fears and the love perfected in us extinguish fears. In 2 Tim. 1:7. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Our attitude towards future judegements, is that we must always keep a foundation of respect for God to make ethical and moral distinctions to please God. kimathi
THE FEAR WE HAVE IS OF GODS` WRATH TOWARDS SIN. IF WE SIN WE CAN`T ESCAPE THE ANGER OF GOD. THIS FEAR IS EXTINGUISHED BY HIS LOVE FOR US, LOVE THAT IS MADE MANIFEST AT CALVARY - JESUS FACED THE ANGER ON OUR BEHALF. WE SHOULD BOLDLY AWAIT THE JUDGEMENT WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS OUR LAWYER AND HAS PAID THE PRICE FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION ALREADY. MAY OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST BE PRAISED ALWAYS. AMEN. Don W
We Christians need to have the fear of God in us, of His awesome greatness and awe, respect, reverence for our God, our heavenly Father, but also a fear in us to go ahead and sin against Him, in knowing that this was what put Jesus Christ on the cross in the first place. I agree with Dr. Ralph when he stated that the Christian preachers from before us were quite creative in portraying the imagery of the punishment26in the fires of hell -- so creative that they taught fear rather than confidence to the believers themselves,
Debra M.
What kind of fear should we have towards God? A reverential fear. The kind of fear that knows He says what He means and He means what He says. The kind of fear that takes God seriously and at His Word. What kind of fear is extinquished by His love perfected in us? The fear that brings dread. The fear that brings punishment. The fear that intimidates. The fear that immobilizes. The fear that torments. The fear that belongs to this world. What kind of attitude should we have towards future judgement? An attitude of boldness and assuredness. An attitude that KNOWS that we belong to God and God is love. An attitude of unyielding steadfastness in the goodness and of God.

royk
Q4. (1 John 4:11-18) What kind of fear should we have towards God? What kind of fear is extinguished by his love perfected in us? What kind of attitude should we have towards future judgment? We are pretty insignificant in the universe he created, we could die in an earthquake, fire, auto accident, we just don't know God's plan; this is a reason to fear His power and be in awe of it. Likewise His love is incomprehensible for us, even filled by the spirit of God, we can be better at loving others when we are in touch with this spirit. We can act as agents of His eternity when we let the spirit lead us; his love is so amazing! We can't afford to hold any judgments towards anyone, it will only diminish the love he intends for us to have, hold and give to others. Ramon
(1 John 4:11-18) What kind of fear should we have towards God? What kind of fear is extinguished by his love perfected in us? What kind of attitude should we have towards future judgment? Answer: 1.What kind of fear should we have towards God? NOTHING..WE SHOULD NOT FEAR GOD.THIS IS THE MESSAGE of Apostle John...to remove the fear in the heart of Man,fear that the Law has brought, due to its unbending ,perfect character..Anybody who breaks the law during the Old testament days are bound to be cursed or punished..even death... In the New Testament Prophet Isaiah said because of what Jesus has done in the cross..GOD SWEARS THAT HE IS NOT GOING TO GET ANGRY WITH MAN AGAIN..Isaiah 54:9- For this [is as] the waters of Noah unto me: for [as] I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth ; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.. Jesus has come to change Man perception sbout God the Father..the perception that God is an angry God,and that He will just strike anyone dead if they will not follow Him...So Jesus when He came to earth, took all our sins in His Body so that the Father, being a just and righteous God,can punish our sins..not on ourselves but to the body of His one and only begotten Son...Jesus took it all in the cross....for us. 2.What kind of fear is extinguished by his love perfected in us? FEAR OF PUNISHMENT,CONDEMNATION,REBUKE... 3.What kind of attitude should we have towards future judgment? We are eagerly waiting for that. Our attitude is with anticipation and excitement for in that day,we will receive our Glorified body, and be with our Lord....FOREVER. HALLELUJAH...THANK YOU JESUS. servant for Christ
Abject fear of God is based on dread of punishment. But God's love for us renders such dread obsolete. Fear is still part of the Christian walk in the sense of profound reverence, the unwillingness to violate God's trust in us. Believers need not fear eternal rejection as a result of God's judgment but this does not mean a Christian's approach to God is to be casual and flippant. Love of God is joy and peace. When our love grows, joy grows too. Those who perfectly love God are from His nature and counsel and covenant, perfectly assured of his love and are perfectly free from any dreadful suspucions of His punitive power and justice. Perfect love casteth out torment, for it teaches the mind a perfect acquiescence and complacency in the beloved Father.
jacquie7
We should have a reverence, awe in respect of God. His love perfected in us puts and eliminates a fear of intimidation or being frightened. Our attitude should be we are not afraid of the future, eternity, or God’s judgment because He loves us and has forgiven us of our sins. Jesus saved us from punishment and this should make us glad. We also look forward to the day when sin will end and we can meet our Savior face to face.
Craig
Q4. (1 John 4:11-18) What kind of fear should we have towards God? What kind of fear is extinguished by his love perfected in us? What kind of attitude should we have towards future judgment? Perfect love casts out all fear. Fear involves torment and he who fears is not made perfect in love. God's love has not been allowed to operate in the lives of those who are afraid of Him. They have never come to Him in repentance and received the forgiveness of sins. Believers should look forward to future judgment with confidence and without fear. Here's why: I am assured of the Lord's love first of all, because He sent His Son to die for me. Secondly, I know He loves me because He indwells me at the present moment. Thirdly, I can look to the future with cofidence and with fear because of His love for me. Guitar Jim
Q4. (1 John 4:11-18) What kind of fear should we have towards God? Â Even in the New Testament we're told: It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the Living God. We're still human beings and He's still God of the Universe. We need to keep that in mind before we take for granted our ability to stand boldly before the Throne of Grace. We needn't necessarily fear God's judgement but we still need to respect Him and act accordingly, even when praying in intimate private moments. God is the perfect Father. Even if we have a wonderful earthly father, which sadly many of us including me never had, we still respect and fear his punishment for when we do wrong. So should it be in our relationship with our Heavenly Father. Â Â What kind of fear is extinguished by his love perfected in us? Â The fear of judgement and damnation. Â Â Â What kind of attitude should we have towards future judgment? Â We should actually look forward to it and to hopefully hear the words: Well done thou good and faithful servant. Old Jerry
I think that the kind of fear that we should have toward God is that we don’t love Him enough. I think that we should fear that we don’t spend enough time with him. The kind of fear that is extinguished by his love perfected in us is the fear of his return. We don’t have to fear that because we know that he loves us is watching out for us.
