AngelOnLine
Q1. (Ephesians 4:7) In what way does verse 7 teach that all Christians have received spiritual gifts? (See also Romans 12:6; 1 Corinthians 12:11; 1 Peter 4:10). We must use our gifts, no matter how small we think they are, and use them to glorify God. If all have received spiritual gifts, what is the implication of this in light of the clause in Ephesians 4:16 that mentions "each/every part"? It takes each of us, using our gifts, to make the body of Christ whole.
MyBeloved
Each believer in Christ is given a gift so that he may function in the body of believers in a particular way. The Spirit of GOD doing something through the believer for the purpose of building up the body of believers. Everyone is given grace to exercise that gift in the power and fulness of GOD's Holy Spirit. Each/every part must work together.
Zegeye
God gives us various gifts with grace according to His will and for the purpose of building His Church, our brothers and sisters in Christ. We are thus to use those gifts to their fullest to administer the grace of God and bless our brothers and sisters and fellow man. IAnd this implies, if every part of the whole body, the church, does its part according to the gifts given to it by God and held together by Jesus it will be strong. God ensures that within each congregation there is at least one person with each gift needed for the body to function and grow. If one or more within the 'body' deny their gifts or don't exercise their gifts, the whole 'body' suffers, just as one malfunctioning organ of a physical body can debilitate the person's wellbeing. Lion of Grace
All Spiritual gifts have been given to us as Christ apportioned them. ( vs. 7) Then in vs. 8, Paul goes on to explain, "When He ascended on high, He led captives in His train and gave gifts to men." In Romans 12:6, we are instructed that we each have different gifts according to the grace given us. In 1 Corinth. 12:11: all these are the work of the one Spirit and He gives each one (gifts) just as He determines. In 1 Peter 4:10, we hear everyone should use whatever gift he has received to serve others faithfully, administering grace in various forms. We are all to use our gifts to build up up the body of Christ in love (extending the same grace to others that Christ gave to us) and to help bring each other to maturity. That should be a goal in the Church through discipleship. We each have received a different "part" to share, so we can become strong together as one in our faith. Mature Christians learn to discern truth and with truth we are firmly rooted in our faith together. We won't be so easily led astray by false teaching and men who scheme and plan deceit towards others for their own gain.

If all have received spiritual gifts, what is the implication of this in light of the clause in Ephesians 4:16 that mentions "each/every part"?Exposition The Word says unto everyone of us is given - that means all of us. The word also says that God is no respecter of persons. What He does for one He will do for all. Every one has a gift - we all need to be using that Gift to bring glory to God and to build up the church.
Commissioned
(Ephesians 4:7) In what way does verse 7 teach that all Christians have received spiritual gifts? (See also Romans 12:6; 1 Corinthians 12:11; 1 Peter 4:10). According to the measure of the gift of Christ by grace, the Scripture teaches that every Christian has received spiritual gifts. If all have received spiritual gifts, what is the implication of this in light of the clause in Ephesians 4:16 that mentions "each/every part"? Since all Christians have Spiritual Gifts, working together we should use them for the edifying of the Body of Christ.
Craig
Q1. (Ephesians 4:7) In what way does verse 7 teach that all Christians have received spiritual gifts? (See also Romans 12:6; 1 Corinthians 12:11; 1 Peter 4:10). If all have received spiritual gifts, what is the implication of this in light of the clause in Ephesians 4:16 that mentions "each/every part"? Paul writes in verse 7, that "... to each one us has been given grace as Christ apportioned it." The other verses referenced above teach us that God through the Holy Spirit has given every believer gifts and talents to be utlilized in building up the church and spreading the kingdom of God on this planet. Every believer as a member of the body of Christ has a purpose and a role to play in building up the church, ministering to others, and spreading the Kingdom of God in this world. Elie
The grace is given to every one as Chrit apportioned it, not in regard to what we ve done... So often, some Christians only go to church every sunday, Though others are deeply involved in different ministries... Can we say that theses two categories have different degrees of believing...? we are all given the grace, some nullify it. It is the task of those who don t receive it in vain, to help them to become effective like they are, because it is question of one body. That will also give us the opportunity to experience what " good stewards of the manifold grace of God" means.
JustJeff
By God's grace He has delivered to every person spiritual gifts. Like sleeping seeds, they lie in wait to be activated so that their glory made be made manifest to all of mankind. When we wash ourselves in the Holy Spirit and fertilize our minds with the regenerating Word these seeds in us will soon flourish. If we are neligent not only do we deny ourselves the full blessing of grace but, we deny the body the benefit of each part working to glorify the Lord as we hinder everyone's growth. Lion of Grace
All Christians have received "grace as God has apportioned it." To me this means that God has given each believer gifts, in grace, as He has decided to give to each one. These gifts are to be used for His glory. They are to be used to reach the lost as well as for building up the body of Christ and for equipping the saints to reach maturity in their faith. Wow! Well rounded! Everyone has been given a portion to do for in the church as well as out of the church. Unfortunately sometimes we forget the "grace" part and our gifts are put to use without love. We forget the grace given us and don't extend that grace to others. Their is no effectiveness if our gifts are used to push, beat down, promote fear or abuse position. It is given to each one of us grace as Christ apportioned it, to use in proportion to our faith, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to faithfully serve others, administering(to others) God's grace in it's various forms. wifee
1a) This verse indicates that none of us are excluded from receiving gifts in order to build up the Body of the church and be Christ by our actions in the world. God has distributed these gifts by his grace as he decides, we need to identify them, use & share them for the building up of others. B)As each part of the living body is looked after,&works together with other parts for it to be a growing healthy body. Equally it is vital for each one of us in the body of Christ/the church to play our part contributing our different gifts,to serve God in the church & community with Christ

Jeff@qlbc
The church is Christ's body here on earth. The Holy Spirit makes Christ known through us. Each one of us is a part of Christ's body. Each one of us has been given a gift, a charis to make Christ known and to strenghten the Body. Therefore, it is important for each one of us to yield ourselves to receive the gifts the Holy Spirit brings.

Old Jerry
The way that verse 7 teaches that all Christians have received spiritual gifts is by saying that each one of us has been given the Spirit as has been appropriated. In light of the clause in Ephesians 4:16 it means that everyone of us has been given a special gift so that as a whole, the Church, can function and do the things that God has wanted us to do. JoanG
Each one of us, who has the Holy Spirit within us, has been given a specific gift to help the church to grow. We are a unique part of the whole body. And Jesus realizes that we can make the church a much stonger place if we accept the gift and use it to the fullest of our ability. Not everyone can do the same things the same way. We must be willing to allow our personal abilities to grow and to be shared for the betterment of all. WinstonY
"But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it." (4:7) In this verse and in 1 Corinthians 12.11 the words 'to each one of us' are used. The 'each one of us' signifies clearly that each of 'us' believers have a gift which Christ has a apportioned to us. Thus if each Christian does not use their gift as they should than their is a negative impact upon today's church. For we are all parts of the body-the church. As such if the hand is hindered than the whole is hampered.

He did this to prepare all Gods people for the work of Christian service inorder to build the body of christ. So that who ever serve with this gift must serve with the strength that God gives ,so that in all things praise may be given to God through Jesus Christ.
