hanks
Q5. (Colossians 1:13-14) What are the two qualities mentioned in verse 14 that characterize the "kingdom of his beloved Son"? What did the idea of redemption mean in the Greek? In what way did Christ "redeem" us? What is the significance of the fact that our sins are forgiven in this kingdom? The two qualities are redemption and forgiveness. Originally redemption meant to free by means of paying a ransom. We have been redeemed through the sacrificial death of Christ on the Cross. We cannot earn our redemption it is only by the grace of God, by the shedding of the blood of Jesus (Rev 5:9). Our sin is cancelled by the death of Christ, it will not be mentioned anymore. We have been released from the bondage of the penalty of sin. God has forgiven our sins once for all; we are forgiven eternally because of our faith in the blood of Christ. What a loving God we serve!

Vincent Paul DiMino
We bought into a lie.The devil's first lie that we are told about in Genesis. The lie that "we can be like God through our own actions",devices, and literally,...theft(of that which is God's exclusive property, and not given to us,because we are not ready to use it responsibly)...or,...(simply) sin.We sold ourselves as slaves to sin. This is the truth behind our need to be ransomed;when, God,who made us,owns everything, and has complete and unlimited power...yet,he bought us,whom he had made, and given life,at great cost...paying for our sin. But, our sin went even deeper, sin is crime against God himself;requiring forgiveness,on the part of the Almighty,in addition to the cost of redemption. All of this is needed to allow the next step: transformation (I think we'll get to that in later lessons). Delivered
Q5. (Colossians 1:13-14) What are the two qualities mentioned in verse 14 that characterize the "kingdom of his beloved Son"? The two qualities are Redemption and Forgiveness. What did the idea of redemption mean in the Greek? Redemption is being set free from the bondage of sin. In what way did Christ "redeem" us? Christ paid the price on the cross to “redeem” mankind, He is far above all principalities and dominions that held us in their grip, He has enabled us to come into His kingdom and walk in righteousness. What is the significance of the fact that our sins are forgiven in this kingdom? Our sins must be covered, forgiven, because there is to be no darkness in God’s Kingdom. If we do sin, the “Light” calls us to repentance, asking for forgiveness, remembering we have been released from the power of sin, we have been redeemed, we no longer desire to walk in darkness, the price has been paid, we have been delivered from the power of darkness and have been translated into the Kingdom of the Son, with the price being paid, we are now called, we are now able to walk in that Light. OLD GARY
Two qualities are redemption and Forgiveness In Greek it means buying back or freeing a slave. Jesus Paid the price for us with his life to allow us to be freed from Satan and sin. Significant in that we are Born Again and freed from our past to live in Christ.
