Q2. The Blood of His Cross

Recommended Posts

Jesus reconciled us through His substitutionary death on the Cross at Calvary as payment for our sins. . . His "SHED BLOOD" remitted our sins - Hebrews 9:22 (NKJV)

22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.

Ephesians 1:3-10 (NKJV)

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,

9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,

10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth--in Him.

Ephesians 2:10-16 (NKJV)

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

11 Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh--who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands--

12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,

15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,

16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.

The "BLOOD OF THE CROSS" - Jesus' shed blood resulted in His death which was a sacrifice offerfed by Jesus and accepted by the Father which prfoved His love for hiumanity - and when we express faith this act - repenting in our sins, and asking for forgiveness, we are then, at that point, reconciled to God. . .

Reconciliation restores us back into a right relationship with the Father re-establishing fellowship with Him both now, in this world, and in the world to come. . .

Reconciliation presents us to God. . .

Jesus accomplished the recociliation by his scarifice on the cross. The cross was the blood offering as a payment for our sin. We are presented to God with our sins forgiven and saved through the sacrifice and blood shed by Jesus.

Jesus accomplished reconciliation work by shedding his blood on the cross. He offered himself as a sacrifice because the Bible says that there is no remission of sin without the shedding of the blood. By the reconciliation done through Jesus Christ, we are friends to God and no longer enemies that are seperated from Him. We are presented to God blameless.

Jesus accomplished the reconciliation by going to the cross and dying there for our sins.

He sacrificed His blood on the cross so that all beings in heaven and on earth would be brought back to Him.

The purpose of reconciliation is to present us holy, and faultless and irreproachable to the Father.

Jesus accomplished this reconciliation when He was crucified for our sakes. Blood had to be shed to pay for the sins of all mankind and only someone who had never sinned was good enough to make this sacrifice.

The purpose of this reconciliation is so that we can be re-united with God, who no longer sees our sin and filth, but sees instead, His own Son Jesus our Christ, when He looks at us.

We are presented to God the Father, clean, perfect and free from blemish and accusation.

Colossians 1:20-22 - 20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. 21Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. 22But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation

Jesus accomplished this reconcilation by offering his body and having his blood spilled out to pay once and for all for sin. No longer were

animal sacrifices needed he was perfect and sinless and God accepted his sacrifice as payment for sin once and for all.He became the sacrifical

sacrifice in place of the animals for us and since he was perfect it covered all sin past present and future. It reconciles us mankind thru Jesus'

death He can present us to God as acceptable he paid the price of our redemption and made us just as if we had not sinned.
