"The Fruit of a Grandfather's Prayers: A Story of the Prophet Samuel," The Pentecostal Messenger, September 1987, p. 19. Also published in Evangel, August 9, 1987, pp. 7-8 and Message of the Open Bible, July-August 1994, p. 12. Prayer for our children and grandchildren is heard and answered. Samuel's sons went astray, but his grandson Heman became a temple singer and musical prophet (1 Chronicles 25:5; 6:32; 16:41-42).

"Squanto: God's Special Indian," High Adventure, Fall 1989, pp. 8-9; and Clubhouse, Meeting 3, 1989, pp. 2-5. A children's story of Squanto who through God's providence allowed the Pilgrims to survive, and ultimately became a Christian.
